Love **Fry's. They're always stocked. I The employees are friendly and the store is clean. What else do you need?

The restrooms are not clean and need to be thoroughly deep-cleaned before employees continue using them. This is especially concerning because staff are handling FOOD. How can something this important be overlooked by management? The cleaning schedule posted on the restroom door indicates the restroom is being maintained regularly, but the actual condition does not reflect that. If the schedule is being signed off daily, then why are the restrooms in this condition? Customers depend on businesses to maintain proper sanitation standards. We trust that the food we bring home is being prepared in a clean environment. Seeing restrooms in this state raises serious concerns about overall cleanliness and management oversight. What concerns me even more is accessibility. I would never feel comfortable bringing a blind person into a restroom like this. Many blind individuals rely on touch to navigate and use restroom facilities safely. Unsanitary conditions create an unacceptable health risk for them and for everyone else. I previously worked at Chick-fil-A, where restroom cleanliness was taken seriously. Bathrooms were cleaned and checked throughout the day, and it showed. Comparing that experience to what I observed here is disappointing. Please address this issue immediately. Clean restrooms are not optional--they are a basic expectation for employees, customers, and the public. read more

Two older women around mid 50s constantly loitering the Pokemon machine and assaulting customers. Hit me multiple times and took my credit card out of my hand as I tried to pay for my product. Self checkout assistant did nothing, manager Noah helped de-escalate the situation but after leaving my name and phone number to see what would come of this, the women were still in the store, scalping the Pokemon machine. In the picture posted, one of the two women already has multiple Pokemon items in her bag. When will your kids be assaulted over Pokemon and nothing done about it? read more

This is a nice grocery store located in Anthem, AZ. They keep it clean and it's in a nice location near restaurants, a UPS Store, and other little shops. But sometimes I find they charge more at the register than the price on the shelf or that a lower priced different item tag was stuck in front of it or it was maybe moved. And just yesterday they rang the $4.02 wrap of asparagus twice when we only bought one. I'm going to have to go back today about that. Thank you. read more

This is a fairly small Fry's that can get very busy. They are also moving what seems like a good portion of the store around right now.

Interesting supermarket I had the pleasure at shopping inside. Frys have the nicest produce areas, and some of the shelves were well stocked. Everything was like a culture shock to me. Store is nicely stocked, some things were a bit messy and out of place, but i wont make a big deal of it. Nice clerks and customer service here. Everything is fresh. This is the best Fry's location in the Phoenix area. This place was fun to visit (as a tourist) as they sell stuff like clothing and other items not generally associated with a grocery store. This location was clean and well stocked. Can't say the same for the one down in Avondale... - They even had an end cap exclusively for "made in Arizona" products like salsa and hot sauce. - Chimineas for sale. - It's strange, but I actually miss Fry's Electronics. read more

My husband and I went to the deli section to pick up some of his favorite roast beef. Terry Baker was behind the counter assisting another customer and acknowledged that he would be right with us. After the previous custom had left Terry thank us for our patience and asked what he could do for us. My husband expressed his was looking for roast beef. Terry asked if he could suggest some and my husband lit up! Terry suggested one and a cheese that had horseradish in it. We got a sample of each and were blown away!! My husband went for a pound of each. I was looking for a good turkey that didn't have a lot of smokiness to it. Again, Terry offered a suggestion and supplied a sample and a sample of an Irish white cheddar cheese that was just perfect with the turkey. Terry was so pleasant and sweet and very attentive to our requests. Terry is one that of a kind! read more

The food is excellent. The waitress is a grouch but the bartender is wonderful ! Get the onion rings.

Went to Fry's to pick up a few items for dinner, including salad dressing. The choices were varied and we were interested in trying something different. An employee by the name of Grant offered assistance in choosing a salad dressing product and offered to give us a sample of Simply Strawberry Poppyseed and stated that the store would write it off as a sample. He then went to the back of the store, came out with some plasticware and opened the jar so we could have a taste. It was delicious and we decided to purchase a bottle. Grant went above and beyond in customer service. He deserves accolades for his help and assistance. Great job! read more

I have been coming to this Anthem store since they opened. I don't know what it is about this store, they have developed an attitude at the Deli Dept. They ignore you while you are standing there, then when they do wait on you they are rude (not everyone). They act like they are really doing you a favor, and allowing you to spend your money in the store. I have been a business owner for many years, I know that it all starts at the top! I have tried speaking with management, but they just yes you to death, nothing ever changes. Don't get me wrong the customer isn't always right, but when you treat them with kindness and respect, and they are still rude, thats pretty bad. We have been driving to Dove Valley, it's night and day, again management. read more

There are two main Supermarkets I shop in, in Anthem and Fry's is my favorite! I like the better selection of organic produce, a better variety of ethnic foods, and they carry foods I love the other store doesn't. I took one star off from my check out experience. Like most stores, they are pushing for self checkout. Often, there is only one cashier assisted checkout and all lines are long. With a full cart I usually choose cashier assisted. Now this is sensitive so please bare with me. I have a disability myself, so am understanding but - after using my SNAP card, the cashier who had some sort of cognitive disability began questioning me about the use of my card. Asking about how his Mother wanted one and how did I get one because I don't look like I need one and asking personal questions that were completely inappropriate and holding up the line. The bagger also had a cognitive disability and made inappropriate comments about me. I did not show my frustration, was kind and left. I'm all for hiring people with disabilities but they were not right for customer-facing roles. Their behavior was inappropriate, embarrassed me regarding my own disability in front of the line behind me, and the questioning held up the line. I will only be using self checkout now. read more

This Fry's is great! I'm from Phoenix and used to some rough Fry's. This one is always clean, the cashiers are always friendly, the Starbuck's employees are great, the selection is great...there a few things I was unable to find, but luckily there are 4 other Fry's nearby. The sushi bar is delicious...wouldn't get it at night, but that's not their fault. read more

Thank you to the Anthem Fry's pharmacist Abeer for going over and above to assist me not once but twice in recent months. She is a friendly, compassionate, and knowledgeable professional. While waiting in line, I have observed the way Abeer cheerfully and respectfully interacts customers and co-workers. She gives customers the trusting services like when going to a small-town local drugstore. We are fortunate to have a local pharmacist of her caliber in our Anthem community. I have used Fry's/Kroger pharmacies for almost 20 years; since 2016 at this location in Anthem and previously in Michigan. I have consistently received caring, professional, and confidential service. I recommend this Fry's pharmacy because they generally have the drugs you need in stock and it is a clean and safe environment offering convenient hours. read more

Okay so I have to tell you coming from a small town with no grocery stores no department stores only two gas stations and a McDonald's, when I walked into this particular Fry's , I was overwhelmed they had the largest fresh deli selection Fresh Bakery section and a food and wine tasting bar in the store along with an extensive area four wines they also had a rather large cheese the election where there was actually someone slicing and preparing cheese, not to mention also the fact that the floral section in this store was absolutely wonderful I wanted purple roses they didn't have any but the lady went ahead and sprayed white roses and made them purple just for me and didn't charge for the extra spray... amazing and to top it off I was rewarded with two free Starbucks coffees what a great store. read more

Even though they have posted at the front door that masks are required, no one is enforcing this mandate. We were shopping today and encountered at least 4 people who had no masks on, and one couple we came across frequently in the aisles came within 6 feet of us...no mask, no social distance and no staff to enforce the mandate. They no longer clean the carts but offer sanitizing wipes that has been empty at times. They do not clean between customers at check out. And this has been going on for months!! So unfortunate that my favorite grocery store has dropped the COVID ball especially when we need it! If this was a non COVID rating I would give them a 5 star but under our current circumstances I can barely give them 1. read more

Beware of curbside pickup! One of the items I ordered was a large container of organic yogurt, and when I got home, it was "best by 5/26/2021" (and today is 6/17/2021). They are trying to sell products past their "best by" date. I emailed their customer service and they didn't even refund the entire price of the yogurt telling me that I could always go into the store for a full refund. I live right next to this frys and I literally can't go to this location without something going wrong each time from them messing up your online order to employees literally not knowing anything and not wanting to help you. The deli is out of wedges and chicken tenders by 6 pm. Don't waste your time! there is Albertsons a mile away and they have everything you need. read more

I was in there last week looking for quacamole mix. Damon showed me where they were and when there wasn't any left on the shelf he went to the back and looked for more. Another gentleman got involved to help, perhaps a manager, I didn't get his name but he and Damon double triple checked and they didn't have any in the store. Really bothered at the constant lack of selection at this store. Let me clarify, the selection is there, but the shelving is never full. We shop here 2x a week and spend copious amounts of money at this place. We have had to start grabbing things that they are "out" of and always seem to be "out" of at Circle K or Vons/Safeway. I got need for you, I am about to just shop at Vons/Safeway. They are consistently out of aluminum bottle beer. There is a spot on the shelf for this but is always filled with glass bottles. We get told it's on order, but it seems to always be on order. My guess is that the merchandiser is too dumb to realize that FRYs filling the gaps to make the shelving look full. This is probably causing the merchandiser to miss something that is out. I find it hard to believe that a shelf that can hold 2-3 units is restocked everyday running the back room stock out. The bag boys are god awful. I end up bagging my own $300-400 orders myself. I've worked at a grocery store when i was young. I get it. I know why they avoid the least desirable task. When they do bag it (two weeks ago) they put the salad and dressing from the salad bar on the bottom of the cart, upside down in the bag, causing our daughter to say that "daddy ranch is dripping" bless her heart, it was blue cheese, but still ruined all of my groceries and got all over the trunk--even after cleaning it up the best we could. Also there are no trash cans in the lot. So I had to walk all the way back up to throw it away. The meat department sees to be out of several cuts of meat we like. There is a silver lining at the meat department. I do not recall the gentleman who is there on the weekends usually. I believe it is Loren or Lauren. He is an older gentleman but absolutely rocks on the fresh meat department. When we needed a few cases of king crab, large lobster tails, shrimp and salmon...He was the one who went above and beyond. He made sure we had the surf that we needed and even got the angus prime filet mignon and rib eyes the way we wanted. One star added for him. Apologies for not recalling his name, but I'm sure the store can figure it out, if they even give a flying heck. He will remember the visit, we offered him to come by and try some of the product. He even had us try some different types of shrimp that were sweeter etc. absolutely great recommendation.....Actually, maybe he needs a promotion to run this store and fix the problems that seem to be more abundant the last year read more

I placed an online order for pick up on 9/6. The order was placed th in the back of my suv, so I did not check it until I got home. When I did check I found three fruits I did not order and seven items I did order not there. These were not items that were not available, and I was charged for them. I didn't know it took a genius to design a salad bar. I threw out my back trying to get some oversized mushrooms for my salad. I'm 26 and in good shape. Like thank god I steal the ranch; that's the least I deserve for being injured trying to eat healthy at your "signature" establishment. I'm not fucking paying for ranch when it's free anywhere else and my $11 salad is just leaves and low-grade toppings. I hate when people get paid to think way more than actual laborers, but can't fucking think beyond their third step. I'll have to start going to Safeway again no matter how inconvenient. I'll give them one star for the freshest produce in the area, and one star for all the fun housewares they sell. But that's IT! Customer service is consistently HORRIBLE here! I've never encountered a friendly or helpful employee. I keep wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt, but after today's experience I have to give them a poor rating. Checker didn't greet me as I walked up to him. OK, fine whatever. He scanned my card partway through the transaction, then at the end scanned the card of the man behind me. I mentioned to him that he had already scanned my card, but he just gave me a blank look. The bagger put my bag in the cart behind me and I grabbed it and yelled out "excuse me!!" and stated loudly that that was MY bag. Checker scans a few items from the cart behind me, I tell him those aren't my items. Another blank look. He totals the transaction and asks me for considerably more than my items were worth. I tell him I'm not paying that much for what I bought and after some discussion he finally figures out that the man in line behind me isn't with me. Checker gets very frustrated with both me and the man behind me, and he and I both state that we had both told him that we're not together. Checker has to call a manager over to correct the transaction and they both are very short with me and the man behind me. Because it's our fault the guy is an idiot?? Checker continues glaring at both of us and with an irritated sigh keeps telling us how we're inconveniencing him. No dude, sorry. It was YOUR mistake, and even if it hadn't been YOUR mistake, the customer is always right. This is just the latest example of the awful customer service I receive here. I'll stick with Safeway and their mediocre produce and stellar customer service. read more
