Cancelled our contract today after we were charged for specialized services to remove voles from our yard. After we tried to treat the problem ourselves, we tried calling the service manager, John. The receptionist, Michelle, acted as if we requested to speak with a member of the royal family. After several attempts to speak with John, we learned that he sent the rep to take pictures of our lawn as proof. Fine with us since their treatment didn't work. We were promised an additional treatment to attempt to remedy the problem, after so much money was lost. Every few days, we received an automated message saying that we had an appointment for the additional service, but no one ever came. After 5 "no-show" appointments, we called the company again. We were then referred to another member of the management, Jennifer. She claimed that this was unacceptable and she would look into it, as we should be notified if the rep could not make the appointment. That was the last we heard from her, and that was 3-4 weeks ago. We decided enough was enough. Though the service reps are friendly, the management is unprofessional by all means. It even took 3 phone calls to request cancellation of their service. Even then, Jennifer wouldn't speak with us directly; she told the rep to just cancel the account without knowing the reason. This is a company that just doesn't care. Don't waste your money! It's too bad, since they used to really do good work when we first started working with them 3 years ago. A squirt of product each visit now and bad customer service make this company not worth doing business with. So long, Frontline! read more

We used to have a contract another pest control company, but me, my kids and my dogs were still getting ticks on us. I called them and they came to take care of it, but after one tick free month they started coming back. Granted, we live by the treeline, but if I'm paying for pest control I want the pests to actually be controlled. A while after cancelling my contract with GreenStar and trying to treat for ticks with stuff from home depot with mediocre results, a Frontline representative knocked on my door. He seemed like a good guy and promised that Frontline could granulate my entire yard and make sure there would be no ticks as part of their standard exterior and interior combined service. I decided to try going with their termite monitoring plan too just in case. He claimed some of my neighbors were already FL customers so he gave me a group discount on the initial service and stated the only string attached to the contract was that if I chose to leave within a year I would just have to pay back the discount. Okay, fine. Anyway, their tech Monte came to perform the initial service and he was actually quite personable. He did everything the rep said he would as well as paying special attention to certain problem areas I indicated when I walked him around the house. We're well into our second year with Frontline. The only incident we've had was some ants outside the garage. We called the office and scheduled an appointment in a few days with the secretary. A tech came and took care of them. It wasn't Monte, but he got rid of the ants. We haven't had any other issues with them. When a pest control service works as effectively as Frontline does, the peace of mind is absolutely worth it. Anyone who lives in NoVA knows the plentiful bugs here can be a huge nuisance (and even a legitimate concern when it comes to ticks and black widows). My kids can play all over the lawn and I don't ever worry about them getting bitten by anything harmful. Monte even treats the lawn with a snake repellent every time he comes out. I haven't been seeing those copperheads lurking around my shed anymore. That's absolutely worth roughly $40 a month to me. Much cheaper than individual treatments for certain pests or medical bills for lyme disease and venomous snake or spider bites. Not to mention relief from swatting duty. I never really hated bugs like some people--such as my wife and kids--do, but I certainly didn't fully anticipate what a relief and a luxury it would be to not have to deal with them. Before Frontline we had previously used GreenStar and Terminix, and still had plenty of pest flare ups. With FL, we don't have any flare ups. Rather than repeatedly administering a quick fix spray down with insecticide again and again without a long term solution, these guys make sure no pest problems occur in the first place by attacking the problem at the source. The in-wall injections they did through the plumber's plates under my sinks got rid of all the bugs hiding in the walls. They used to like to come out to nibble on crumbs or scare my girls when they're trying to shower. . .no longer. We requested their service in 2016, the staff were excellent but their treatment did not work. I waited to see if there will be any improvement and had 2 additional services but it got worse. I cancelled my service with them. They called a few times to schedule services and i cancelled it. Suddenly, they went to my house in my absence (they claimed) to treat my external house. I told them i had found an alternative and do not need their service. Frontline is a scam- they want me to pay cancellation fee even though i have no contract with them. Apparently, there is a clause and you must have 5 services with them. I am not paying because when they treated my house, they infested it with more mice, when i stopped using them and used my alternative method, the mice stopped. DO NOT USE FRONTLINE. read more

I was little hesitant at first to use them because of some reviews. But then I realized that the negative reviews for this company were mainly older reviews. I had heard, word-of-mouth, from my neighbor about the great services they provide so I switched over. Boy, I am glad I did. They have actually taken care a severe tick, and spider, infestation. scam artist. customer be aware. Jennifer is the Customer Manager at East Coast, who is very rude. And Nolan is the sales rep, who is very tricky. do you want to pay more than $600 every year for pest control? (7 * $90 = $630) This company is a scam. First the price is very high. Mostly tricky part is that , they have you sign a piece of paper, which is a hidden 1 year contract, with 7 services. The sales rep never make you aware of that. The service itself is quick and rush. they may be able to do good job, but I do not see it. A few days after, the pest still exists. But if the service is of no supervision from the customer, the promise from the sales rep are all in vain. there are a lot of cheaper company out there we used before does not require annual contract. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME USING THEM! I scheduled my first treatment for mosquitoes with them and no one showed. The Sales person, Brandon, asked me a date and I told them a date I preferred. Leading to the date I never received confirmation not a time slot. So I called Brandon back to ask and he told me by 2 pm and no one showed that day, which was an inconvenience. Then I called him, Brandon, the sales person to explain no one showed and received a call from the scheduling department who notified me no treatment was scheduled for me on that day. She advised me my treatment date was coming that week and I was get an automated reminder. I received that and no one showed up the date she advised. The weather was not perfect that day but they could have called me and rescheduled. No phone call from Brandon the sales person or the Technician. I will not use their services and the friends I recommended will cancel. This is BAD BUSINESS ETIQUETTE! read more

Called a week ahead to schedule an appointment for the following Monday morning 8 -10 am. However, some guy called on Friday and left a voicemail saying "please call me back so we can get you set up for an appointment" Hmm...weird..isn't it? When I called back Friday afternoon, no one answer my call so I left a voicemail for the guy who called me. Sadly, he never called me back but I received an automated voice call from Frontline sayding that a technician will be arriving on Monday at 8:30 am. Well, I have been waiting for the guy to show up Monday, no one came. Called them back and was told that my appointment was cancelled and someone should have informed me already. WTF! The guy never mentioned my appointment was cancelled for no reason! And they didn't bother return my call? Consumers Beware! I can't comment on their service but I already feel that their customer service department is messed up. read more

I also signed up when they came door to door with that great sounding spew!!! The only reason I signed up with them was to get rid of the black widow spiders(found 8 total that yr). Matt told me that they would come every three months... The first time they came out they sprayed my entire house! Literally gave my house and yard a bath. I could smell the poison strong that time. The next time they came out when I was not home... I told them I did not want them to come unless I was home!! The next time they came they sprayed here and there. Three days later a black widow was climbing up my sons back, I was livid!!!!! My neighbors would tell me they would not granulate the yard just hit and miss and never go in back yard because pool was back there and I had a locked gate. COME WHEN I AM HOME!!! Then we moved. We had them come to our new house. They came when we was not home of course!!! Has to do a call back! (Seems like they do alot of those) The guy walked around hitting the base board maybe once here and there. Then went outside and did the same... We followed him around to make sure he was even spraying!!! My fiance had to use the techs duster to kill wood bees along the wood rail on front porch. The tech said he couldn't find them, no too lazy to bend over, that's OK my man did his job!!! Ridiculous!!! meanwhile another pest control company came out to do a termite treatment... And sprayed to be nice.. He killed some stuff!!! Now here they come ( 2 months later) ( was supposed to be 3 months) ... The tech does not granulate does not spray around the windows, I can clearly tell considering I get home a few minutes after he was there! I call them and she said oh ya don't worry that was a credit! She sends him back out and he does the inside. ( here and there) ALL THE SPRAY SEEMS TO NOT SMELL OR SMELL DIFFERENT! SO here it is 1 Month later and I have a bag on my front door! I was out of work some that month.. Called them and told them I would not be able to pay for this right now ( did not have it in this months schedule!) They said ok l call you back and we can set something up. Nope they just deducted it out of my account after I clearly told them that this month was very tight for me!!! Plus the tech came here AGAIN WHEN I WAS NOT HERE. I showed up five min after he was at my home... No signs of any spray or granules! So what the heck did he do walk around and dust... NOPE not that either! Bottom line these ppl are a joke!!!! The only one that I have ever been able to get any thing done through is Jennifer the manager. She is very understanding and tries to fix the screw ups! Go somewhere else Jennifer!!! I will never trust another pest control company again... The first time they come out was the best time!! The only time I could smell the poison in the spray!!! For 75$ a month I can buy real poison and do it myself!!! read more

Frontline came highly recommended from a contractor so we decided to give them a try. I called to set up a one-time service since our contractor was paying for it due to them leaving a door in the house wide open for two days. I was pressured numerous times into signing up for an annual service, which I did not do. I told him my husband and I would consider it when they came out for the service and we saw how effective it was. I was also told numerous times that there would be no obligation and it could be cancelled easily so there was no risk. When they came to the house they told my husband that we had already signed up for an annual service, which I thought was odd because I never agreed to that. Within a few weeks of the service we still had multiple insects in the house and had them come back out. We continued to have many insects in the house even after that follow-up visit. I called to make sure that our account was closed since we were not satisfied with the service and was informed that we had to pay a $25 termination charge. Not only was that never mentioned by the original person I spoke to regarding the annual service but I could believe I had to pay it after never having signed up for the annual service! The entire thing was very sneaky and I would not recommend this company. Very disappointed. read more
