I signed up with Frontline after a door-to-door sales representative explained what the service would include. I was specifically told that my full yard and deck would be treated as part of the mosquito/pest service. That representation was a major reason I agreed to switch companies. Unfortunately, the service I have actually received has not matched what I was told. On 7/23, my security footage shows the technician in my backyard, but he never came onto the deck. The footage also shows treatment being focused around the base of the home rather than the full yard and deck that I was told would be serviced. Then on 8/18, I have security footage showing the technician pull up around 11:09 a.m., remain in the vehicle until approximately 11:15 a.m., and then leave. At no point did he get out of the vehicle and perform the mosquito and tick service. During that time I even walked across the property and was clearly visible to the technician, but I was never told there was an issue preventing the service from being completed. I have provided Frontline with this footage and requested cancellation of my general pest control and mosquito/tick services without an early termination fee. I am not asking to cancel my separate Sentricon termite service, which I have not had an issue with. My concern is straightforward: I do not believe I should be required to pay a termination fee to leave services that were represented one way during the sale and then either performed differently or, in the case of the 8/18 mosquito/tick visit, apparently not performed at all. Based on my experience, I would caution others before signing a contract with Frontline. I would strongly recommend getting every promise made by the salesperson in writing, reviewing exactly what areas of the property are actually included in each service, and understanding the cancellation terms before signing. Personally, I would avoid using this company for general pest and mosquito/tick service based on what I have experienced. I would much rather resolve this directly with Frontline. I am simply asking them to cancel the general pest and mosquito/tick services without penalty and confirm that in writing. If Frontline resolves the issue appropriately, I will gladly update this review to reflect that. read more

Unlawful business practices! Highly suspicious spikes of 5-star reviews on Google and BBB. Check the BBB complaints for the truth! Once you sign, they will bill you for months/years through auto renewal with no notice. Cancellation requests in writing are ignored. They will tell you unlawfully that you must call. They will bill you monthly but only show up once per year to take a picture of their truck in the driveway and continue billing. Open cases with the FTC and OAG. Technicians they sent to my house were not licensed properly. read more

Honestly,I'm confused by so many negative reviews. Price wise, they are average for the area, technician did a great job,a lot of extra details. They were here 1 month ago,but I don't see even single ant since then. Can't give 5 stars, because prices in whole area are not adequate and monthly charges are annoying read more

I can't say this loudly enough -- DO NOT waste your money on Frontline Pest Control. They are the textbook example of a company that takes your money, fails to deliver results, and then traps you in a contract to keep charging you for their incompetence. I hired Frontline to handle a roach problem, and after several visits, the roaches are still here. Their "fix" was to keep sending someone over -- as if repeating the same failed approach would magically work. The problem never improved, and when I told them I wanted out, they had the nerve to say I was locked into a contract until July 2026 and would have to pay a $250 termination fee to stop a service that never worked in the first place. They call it a "contract." I call it a trap. Any company with integrity would release an unsatisfied customer -- but not Frontline. Their priority isn't solving pest problems; it's locking people in and squeezing every dollar possible out of them, no matter how bad their service is. If you value your time, money, and sanity, run the other way. Frontline Pest Control should change their name to Frontline Customer Extortion. Save yourself the headache -- go with literally any other pest control company. read more

They are effective in controlling pests but don't try to cancel. We purchased their service because our neighbors said they had ants And front line knocked on our door saying there was a pest problem in our neighborhood We don't want twice the ants because front line treated their yard and the ants all came our way It wasn't a service we felt we needed, when we tried to cancel and they just put our service on hold for 6 months and reduced our monthly payment from $120 to $100. Then it stated back up. When a technician came out, we told him that we had canceled and he said yes, but his visit was included in what we had already paid. When I realized they hadn't canceled our service the said they needed to come out and pull all their termite traps. Weird because we already had termites traps installed. He came out and said he had removed ours at the beginning of the service and replaced them with theirs. When I asked why, he said because "that is what they do" All I can say is hopefully this is the end of having to deal with Frontline! read more

Very odd and possibly sketchy company - Called to schedule a one time pest control service - just the basic household pests. I requested an invoice/report after treatment is completed. I am a property manager who has has used multiple pest control companies over the last few years, and this has never been an issue - in fact, it's usually something that comes through automatically after service. To be clear, this is typically a simple report stating the date, service, price paid, and a brief summary (Sprayed exterior of building, filled holes/points of entry on side of home, type of details). I was told by Baker this was not possible because a special type of "license" is needed. I clarified if they are licensed - they said they are but not the type of license where you can give ANY sort of paper documentation. We need this for reimbursement and also for local compliance (I specified this is not for a loan or anything more stringent, where it needs to be very detailed and require certain information) - I would've taken just a receipt showing date and treatment. He said the most they can do is an invoice - I said that is great, as long as it shows we paid for and received treatment. Baker repeated this wasn't possible, and I asked him what this invoice he was speaking of. He said it's a VERBAL INVOICE. That is ABSOLUTELY absurd - I told him that's not what invoice means - invoice is essentially a receipt (which by default, would need to be written). He argued that a phone call IS the definition of an invoice. He offered to transfer me to customer service (he said he was in sales), but stated they would tell me the same thing. I did request to still speak with them, but got disconnected after a couple minutes of holding (I am on a landline, so the disconnection definitely wasn't from my end). Not only can they not provide simple documentation but it seems like they have very an odd understanding of what basic terms mean. Would've loved to use them for all the positive reviews. read more

We already were using Best Exterminating and they did a great job. The Frontline Rep said they could help with our Latern Fly Bug problem so I was like ok I'll try them out. My porch is currently covered in them so what they said they could help with, obviously they could not. I canceled and it cost $300 to cancel with them. The rep I talked to when I canceled made it clear that these were new bugs and they were learning how to deal with them but the one who sold it to me initially definitely made it clear they could help. read more

Service is great, but beware of Centricon Termite Installation contract being sold under the guise of "cancel anytime without cost". I specifically asked if there was no cost to cancel as I wanted to try it out for a few months. Months later, when I went to cancel, I was stuck with a $550 cancellation fee which is the exact cost of just keeping the service for the remainder of the year. My fault for not reading the fine print, but extremely misleading. Make sure to read the fine print and not trust the word of on-site technicians when it comes to billing. read more

I called just looking for an estimate explaining I had a serious mouse problem, and Frontline sold me on services that seemed like they would come spray, treat, etc. Because my problem was so pressing, I was desperate to find a service and this sounded like a good option. It turns out, Frontline only plugs holes and puts down bait traps for mice, something I could've done. They didn't even fully evaluate the problem area I noted (my attic). I probably should've payed closer attention, but when I went to cancel they threw a $200 contractual cancellation fee in my face. Now I'm out several hundred dollars, mice are still running through my attic, snakes have come in my house because they were attracted to the mice, and I'm going to have to find a pest company that actually will help. Read your contract carefully - their services are things you can do entirely yourself. read more

I used this company four years ago and they were pretty good but didn't have a need anymore. Today I get a text they are coming out. I explain I haven't used their service in 4 years they say there's nothing they can do they have to come out and service and I will owe money if I don't call the office. Amazing business model to just inform old customers you are coming out and they will owe you money if you don't call the office and cancel. read more

Frontline Pest Control - Pest Control Near Me - Manassas, Virginia

The Salesman completely misrepresented the costs and service that were to be done ,They charge $59 a month and come out 4 times a year ,the guy comes with a mop handle to knock down spider webs and does nothing else ,The first time they did do a treatment and knocked down spider webs ,but then the mosquitos started getting really bad, so I called the company and was told its a separate charge for them ,which The salesman told me the service covers all insects and he also told me that if the Mosquitos come back to give them a call and they will come back no charge ,that was a false Statement ,so I am coming up to 10 months of this and call the company to cancel and was told that I have to wait 2 months to call back and cancel and if I dont they automatically continue the contract monthly after a year ,Do Not use this Company !!!! read more

DON'T USE!! EXPENSIVE AND HUNDREDS IN FEES IF YOU CANCEL!!! Even if you move to a property like a condo that does not have pests!!! Or you are dissatisfied with service!!! I actually called twice to cancel and the first time someone said they would cancel me no questions or push back but I continued to get billed and contacted with next treatment date. So I called again to inform them I had moved and they couldn't treat that address or my new one and that I continued to be charged. It was not at all explained to me at sign up that I was being locked into a contract with a cancellation fee. Definitely more about "signing here" without even showing you the contract first or explaining the terms. After I called the second time and sat on hold for 20 minutes, I was told by the account manager they would give me a "break" of a discount on the fee even though I already had pest control before so to have a fee of hundreds of dollars was ridiculous and never was explained I would have to pay if I cancelled for any reason. I moved and only had 2 treatments in 6 months and they still slapped me with the bill! SO NOT WORTH IT! Mind you I also referred them business which I am now regretting and making others aware of these ridiculous fees that are not on par with the competition. Service was average at best - still had a lot of spiders, but customer service is VERY poor and kept trying to push me to get the new owners to sign up or treat my no-pest condo to avoid the fee. Complete crap. Any other company if the new address can't be serviced or is out of service area, they don't slap you with a cancellation fee. A fee in which in my case never should have been passed along since they only came out twice because that property was regularly treated prior to them starting service. If you do use them for whatever reason, BEWARE it is very difficult to get a hold of anyone when you call in and they only autodial you to give you little heads up about when they plan to treat next. Not much flexibility in dates either for treatment. It's when it works around their schedule. I now understand why I don't see them much in my area because there is definitely better services out there for LESS and with better service!! You've been warned. Find another provider without ridiculous cancellation fees and contracts. read more

We've used this service for years, but have decided to go a different route. Well.. good luck trying to cancel!! We sent an email in October 2023. They would still come out, and we would tell them we cancelled service. They'd acknowledge and say they'll let *whoever* know. Then we start getting bills, even for services that WERE NOT performed. So we start calling.. we can't send an email to cancel, we have to call. Cool.. but every single flipping time we call, we're always told that we have to speak with an account manager. Eternal hold and always on the phone so they'll have someone call us back. GUESS WHAT?!? NO ONE EVER CALLS BACK. I called in March, was under the impression we were good, until we get ANOTHER bill with services that WERE NOT DONE and threat of collection agency. I'd advise completely avoiding this company. I really wish I had done my research and read their reviews FIRST! Frontline Pest Control came to our area and claimed to service many of the homes in our community. I bought into three of their services. In December they "experienced a system error" and double charged their customers. I caught it and called them. Talked to THREE people at Frontline and although they acknowledge the error they do not intend to correct the systemwide error or refund your double payment until each customer detects it - writes them a letter - and includes their credit card and/or bank statements proving the over-payment. HOLY CHIMICHANGAS BATMAN! Are you serious? Then cancel my service ... "Sure, no problem. That will be $650 for the cancellation fee." So ... if you have them - please check to ensure you also did not get a double charge just prior to Christmas. If you do not have them - well, I applaud you for making a smart choice :-) I join everyone else here and state Frontline Pest Control is Most strongly NOT recommended!! read more

We were pretty content with our service since 2010. The service people were always kind when applying. Upselling of services has increased in the past few years and I am not a fan.In the past year, we kept having service people show up for a service we did not sign up for. Last month we were charged for a service we did not sign off on. I called the office to dispute the charge and was told that a person would call back in one hour on Friday. They called on Sat afternoon and left a message. I called again on Tuesday twice to make sure that we would not be charged again or have application specialists show up at the house. When I called back the second time, Emma, in customer service put me on hold and left it on speaker while she was conveying the situation to the account rep. I did not raise my voice with her nor was a disrespectful. The story she told was quite different. I even said " HEY! I can hear you!" to let her know that she was on speaker. When the call was handed over to the account manager, I made sure to let him know that I could hear the full conversation and that they might need to train that department better. I decided to end our contract. Not worth the hassle. read more

I hire frontline pest control to get rid of my ants they charge 99.00 . so after the first treat ment I still had ants, so I called back to treat again . But I could only do it on Saturday I told them if they couldn't do Saturday I would have to cancel so they agree to Saturday but for a month of scheduling Saturday they never show so I cancel the service . I wanted a refund because they couldn't service me when I needed and they couldn't get rid of my ants . So because they came out they won't refund me . so one ant treatment that didn't work cost me 99.00 . They used to be a dependable company I don't know what happen but I would never use them again and I'll make sure everyone I know won't use them either read more

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they are terrible. I had been a regular customer for years and told them on no less than 25 occasions to PLEASE not show up at my home without at least 2 days' notice, because I don't always need service and they charge you if you cannot cancel in time, but they never did were able to give me notice and I was therefore charged on numerous occasions for a service I did not need. When I actually needed treatment for bees that were making a nest in my house trim, I contacted them in mid-July and it took a month and a half to get someone to actually treat the issue. The first time someone came but didn't do the service because no one was home, but I had called and told them I would not be there and explained the exact issue and location (which was outside) and in the text they sent saying they were coming, it said not one needs to be home. The 2nd time, the tech said he had to cancel because his equipment was broken down. The 3rd time, the tech came and said he couldn't do the job because he didn't have the correct equipment, but I called several times and said it was a treatment for bees. The 4th time someone came out, again they did not do the treatment because no one was home. The 5th time, which was 2 weeks later someone came out but didn't have the correct chemicals to treat the problem. On the 6th time, someone came and sprayed something from the ground to a 2nd story nest that got all over my garden but did not reach the bees, and did not work. I called again and they told me to wait a week and then call again. I called and someone out and said that chemical the last tech used was not only not going to work for bees but was toxic if ingested. This person asked if my family or pets had eaten any of the vegetables that were covered in the white chemical that was used and I said yes, he said to stop and either throw them out or scrub them before eating them. No one told us that before and he said the tech should have informed us to that. This person originally said he could not do the treatment because he did not have a ladder or the right chemical to treat the problem; mind you the nest had not moved, it had only grown bigger over the month and a half, but after some consideration, he borrowed my ladder and used a spray that he found in his car to treat the bees. The spray he used was just like what can be purchased by anyone in a store. After almost 6 weeks and 7 visits, the bees are gone but I could have saved a lot of money and damage to my home and health by doing it myself. The final straw with this company, however, was today when I realized that they charged my credit card $129. I called to ask what the charge was and was informed that it was for a treatment quarterly treatment on October 3rd that would cover the next 3 months. However, per usual, i was not given at least 2 days' notice that they were coming and I did not need service. I tried to explain this to Joseph, and said the company was too difficult to deal with and wanted to cancel my service all together. I said I was willing to (reluctantly) pay for the October service (that I did not need, want, or even know they did until I called), but would like a credit for November and December. I was told by Joseph, the account manager with no one above him in rank (he is not the owner but per his words, there is no other manager above him), that he was willing to give me $40 back but nothing more. I explained to him the countless issues I had with them over the years with the no notice, charges for un-needed or wanted service, and then the bees and would appreciate a refund for the next 2 months that I would not be using, but he said NO. He said he could see the many issues I had but still nothing more than $40. I really hope this review is helpful and will encourage folks to look elsewhere when seeking a pest control company. read more

Bottom Line: If one of your employees ever step foot on my property again, I'll have them arrested for trespassing. One of your guys came to my home twice yesterday...same guy...once around 230p and again at about 7p...maybe he cased the area at his earlier visit when just my wife was home (and she told him we don't require your services) and he hoped to catch her alone again so he could force his way in? We signed with Frontline after having been approached through one of their neighborhood canvas/door-to-door campaigns. The service entailed them treating both the inside and outside for preventive measure. BUYER BEWARE!! We would schedule an appointment with them during times we could be available to have the inside done. They would confirm said appointment and then show up when they wanted. They would claim to have treated the outside perimeter of our home, when we have a fenced and gated back yard that they had no way to access. Essentially, the inside/outside job they SAY they do, only equates to a 2 minute spray of your front porch. My husband called to give them one last opportunity to rectify the situation. The person on the phone apologized profusely and assured him there would be no more scheduling hiccups. He made the appointment for Dec. 14th. No one came. No one called. ONE WHOLE WEEK LATER, its December 21st at 9 am in the morning. The door bell rings. Its Frontline there to do our service!! We kindly asked the technician to leave and explained that we would be discontinuing our service soonest. This guy had the nerve to tell us, 'Just so you know they're going to keep billing you until you send something in writing.' Great. Wonderful. So I get online to send such a notification. No contact information on their website. Yes, if you are a current customer you can sign in using your account number. Would anyone care to GUESS what their account number is? Keep on guessing because there is NOTHING on any of the invoices that remotely resembles an account number. Turns out its the first few characters of your address. If that seems simple enough, you can close your eyes and take a stab in the dark how many characters that entails as it varies by customer. Nice. I decided to send my cancellation through their 'contact us' form. Seems reasonable enough, right? Nope. Wrong again. So then I call AGAIN. I have a 30 minute conversation with who turned out to be the person who flubbed up our last appointment--that's rich. She apologizes AGAIN (broken record) and tells me that a supervisor or manager is going to call me back the same day. You guessed it again, no phone call. So I call back again the next day. This time I get an assistant manager. Not only were there no comments as to the previous day's interaction, I had to write (that's right, you guessed it) ANOTHER email requesting to cancel my service. Other than that, I'm sure Frontline is a GREAT company. read more

When I called to get my money back, they refused to refund me for a service that did not work for me. I had the pleasure of having our home serviced today by Jahmaine, once again! He serviced our home over 1 year ago and I have ALWAYS requested him ever since then! Jahmaine got in there, got it DONE and went above and beyond to make sure I felt satisfied that the problem was handled. To this day, the garage has NEVER been infested like it was prior to Jahmaine coming in and treating the necessary areas... and to be honest, I have never seen a problem in the garage again (outside of the regular straggler pest due to its location to the outside). TODAY, Jahmaine came in to handle a new problem I discovered in the basement, and he went above and beyond, as he ALWAYS does, to get it taken care of, treated, and made sure the area was left in a very CLEAN manner. Jahmaine, I thank you over and over again! I will ALWAYS request you as our service tech when we treat our home because I always see improvement when you leave. If you are looking for a pest control company that you must stand beside as they treat your home and yard, then go with these guys. If you are looking for a pest control company that you can trust definately look elsewhere. Hard to believe how shotty these folks are. He did a great job and I tjought I had finally found a pest company I could trust. On my third service, the technician came to the house and from the time he parked his truck, prepared his equipment, serviced the house and yard, returned his equipment to the truck and left.........a total of 6 minutes had elapsed. While Frontline does offer a satisfaction guarantee, I will not do business with folks of such character. I paid the $70 service fee and requested service cancellation due to the poor character and ethical shortcomings of this branch of Frontline. Because I signed a contract with Frontline, I had to pay an additional 175.00 to get out of the contract.
