Called to see if Frontier was available in my area. It isn't. Representative said it's listed as "coming soon". That's fine. The person said they can transfer me over to AllConnect to see what providers are in my area that would best fit my needs. I agree. They connect me with this woman who could not have sounded more disinterested in her job. Could barely understand her with her mumbling and it sound like she was about to fall asleep. She told me she found "the perfect package" which was with Spectrum (whom I currently have) with a speed of 400 Mbps (which is 200 Mbps less than what I currently have). She wanted to set up/transfer service with me then and there. I said I would call back when I was ready to do it as I'm just pricing and was about a month away from moving. She tried to argue with me that I'll need the new equipment and when I told her I already have a router to use, she got very short with me and kept telling me, "Yeah, but..." and "... that's I'm saying." When I said I wasn't ready to switch yet, all in one exasperated sentence she told me, "yeahokthat'sfinehaveagoodday" and abruptly hung up. I don't know what kind of company AllConnect (through Frontier Internet) is but I know with this one interaction that they have very grumpy customer service people. read more

Frontier customer service is terrible. The internet goes down every time it rains and they refuse to do anything about it. Pretty obvious that water keeps leaking into one of their street boxes. Right now and as always the ONT says there is no optical signal received from the street. Customer service won't do anything about the problem with their equipment and doesn't care that I've now been down on this current outage for over 24 hours. They will not look at their street equipment at all and claim it is a customer problem only, to which they will only schedule a standard service tech they have informed me I have to pay for that is a week and a half out. Service is lacking in many ways, some of which include temporary fixes that cost you each time as well as lack in trust. For example, a technician came by the day before last all he did was open up the box, unplug the wires and plug them back in. This fixed the internet for a couple of hours until it went down again. I called yesterday about the WiFi being down, they said they'd send a technician from 8:00-12:00 AM, the technician never arrived, I called about this and they said that the technicians report stated that he had came by and replaced a part in the outside panel at 1:00 PM. So, not only did the technician decide to not come by, but he lied on his report by saying he did. Now when i called asking about this, they said because of his report; that is false, has been filed they can't send another technician out until July 2nd which is a week from now. All because the technician that never arrived, said he did, and we've already been down all day today. This is ridiculous, to have a service I pay for, lie to my face and then punish me based on their own lie is beyond unacceptable. read more

I have never felt so frustrated with a company as I have been with Frontier! I get transferred to Customer service to see why I have $300 bill when my payments are scheduled on Auto pay and have been for years. I didnt have my pin and the person on the phone Michael who is supposed to be helping a paying customer said since only my cell phone is registered they cannot use that as a secondary form of account validation. He refused to transfer me to a manager or supervisor even though I repeatedly requested to speak to someone else. After 15 minutes of this guy not doing anything else to help but continue to ask for my pin even though I told him I dont have it, I felt defeated and totally frustrated and hung up. I'm now trying to pay my bill manually on line but I CAN'T because the system says I'm already on Auto pay!!! It's been over 9 months . I was told you WILL HAVE 500 MBS it never surpassed 4 mbs I canceled 3 days later lol and they blame their vendors that are the same phone number . Hello my name is Renato Lomeli, i spoke with you guys frontier on August 2019 telephone number 800-921-8101 , i was told by your representative that my area qualifies and should get 500 MBPS in regards to their frontier fios internet. So i had one of your representatives come to my home late, i was promised a wave time of 8 am 12 pm, the representative never showed up until i had to call to complain, they told me that frontier overbooked . The guy ended up showing up around 1:30pm did a horrible job. Upon doing a speed test to see if i got my 500 MBPS that i was told i would get i ran four test and reached a maximum speed of 2.66. 3.53. 1.80 and 1.83 MBPS. not even 10 MBPS was reached when i was told that i would have 500 MBPS, that is a 495 MBPS speed difference that you guys lied to me about. It is very unprofessional how you guys lie to the public and provide false information. You guys blamed a third party vendor even though the representative from frontier knows its the same number and the same company it does not matter if they are vendor they still represent frontier. Bad customer service. This is a complaint I sent them.: I called around 4pm to make sure the technician to fix my internet was coming, because I was schedule from 1-5pm on Sunday. (I wasted my whole day waiting on this person to come.) The operates said he was coming and I got a text message saying he was coming. You guys had me wait 2 hours outside while my wife waited inside the apartment to make sure we get your technician inside the apartment complex. At 5:35pm I got a text message saying he was here. 5:37pm I got a message saying he missed me. I didn't get no call or anything. I was waiting outside and I didn't see anyone from Frontier. After I called again to your operator saying that dispatch deleted my appointment instead of rescheduling it. This is the 2nd time this happen. My 90 yrs old mother had a VM Service added to her Frontier Communications home telephone service without asking for it. She was confused as to what happen. She called FC several times to no avail. I stepped in and called FC to cancel the VM Service. 1st call on 2/17/20, I was informed the service would be cancel within 45 mins to 1 hr from my call. 2/20/20 Service has not been cancelled. I make another call and was informed the service would be canceled within 15 mins of my call. 30 mins later service is not canceled. I make 4 calls immediately after, will up to 20 mins hold time and 2 disconnected calls. I finally reach a customer service rep who informs me she can cancel the service within 1hr to 24hrs. I ask for a supervisor who is not available for 20 to 30 mins. People please don't waste your time with this inefficient, none caring, non professional company. Israel is the best technician ever!! I highly recommend him to set up your internet and cable. He was able to fix our internet dead zone area. Unlike most technicians that get upset if you ask if you can select your username and password, Israel was really cool about it. He advised that we use a unique username and password for security purposes. GREAT ADVICE. Israel is a great technician because he's not only polite and intelligent, he is a very fast worker. internet service went out...frontiers service 3 day wait...eureka the guy showed up on time and found the problem the fiber optic cable had been cut by the city tree trimmers. He's not equipped to replace fiber optics it goes to a vender company. He called this in on the spot and said they SHOULD be out tomorrow to fix the problem. Next day I called frontier NO HUMANS TO TALK TO only tech conversations on line. I was told vendor will arrive in 3 days at 1:00 on Saturday. They never arrived went back on line to tech conversation only to find out they had a job that took too long and it got dark so they can now come in 48 hours. Frontier couldn't give me the vendors name or number. The biggest problem is the vendor has never made any contact with me....period. Frontier you have the worst customer service I have ever experience. Management both links you gave me Facebook and Twitter are not working. The solicitor entered my email wrong and opted me out of paper bills without asking. He also didn't enter my apartment number. For the first month I didn't know any of this and couldn't pay my bill. I also couldn't make any changes because none of my information matched what they had in their system. I looked up a payment center and when I got there it wasn't even their office. I was told $49.99 a month but received a text saying my bill is $59.83. All these issues aren't isolated incidents because my neighbor that signed up on the same day said he had all the same problems. read more

I don't write many reviews but I would like to warn people of the shady practice that Frontier has with billing. I cancelled my service on June 18th, billing cycle starts on the 13th so there would be a partial payment due. But Frontier takes the full payment on July 7th and then tells me they will send me a credit on a card in the mail in 2-3 months. I was a loyal customer for years, always paying my bill on time for them to basically steal money that was not owed to them 3 weeks after I cancelled is unacceptable. I have had Frontier ever since they bought out AT&T. Run by a bunch of do nothing clowns, and a technical department located in the Philippines but they will not admit to this due to "company policy", I have had nothing but problems that repeat themselves over and over ad infinitum. Weeks of lost internet, fixed after 2 weeks the prior month (only to be informed, that my internet was not working when it was, by their technical department), only to then immediately end the home telephone for almost another 2 weeks, and this has occurred like this for years. Every time the system goes down, the technical people inform me that it is "water in the lines/the weather/or the internal wiring in the house" in which it has always been, ultimately, their fault. The prior time I was told it was water in the line even though it had not rained for about 6 months. Maybe a squirrel peed on their equipment? They read from a cheat sheet and when asked a question with an answer not on their cheat sheet, they go silent and you have to ask over and over "can you hear me". They all are very polite and give vague worthless answers, and the problems are not fixed for weeks at a time. No internet for weeks, no phone service for weeks. Spectrum is very similar. The Spectrum truck at someones home on the street is a frequent fixture. This is a fairly new housing development. If you can avoid this company, do everything in your power to do so. Too bad I cannot post negative stars. By the way my prior reviews have magically disappeared from yelp. Hmmmmmm. I need to add that the repairmen who come out are always very nice, do their best, and at times, discover the problems (their equipment is at fault) and repair them, but dealing with the company itself over the phone, is a complete disaster. Oh, did I mention that after finally fixing my internet and phone after weeks of waiting, my internet is now 10% slower. Now, that is service! I will not go into detail about my lost productivity and lost money as I could not utilize all my internet based subscriptions. Their billing department informed me, let me paraphrase 'life is tough and then you die' sort of a response, and credited a pitiful amount of money to compensate me for the lost services. I used them for a few years with DSL Internet. I switched to high-speed Spectrum and never looked back until I was flooded with Frontier Fiber ads for the last few weeks on YouTube recently. Are people so uninformed to believe the BS of Frontier's fiber ads? Instead of saying High download speeds the ads brag about High Upload speeds. The main use of internet speed is downloading. Getting Files and streaming require high Download speeds. Upload speed is not important unless you are sending your video to YouTube once in a while. I bet Frontier's download speeds are probably nothing to brag about so they try to snow people about upload speeds. Get a life Frontier! read more

I moved homes and asked to have technician install connection at my new address. The technician informed he could not install connection without access to my neighbors yard and had to reschedule. When the rescheduled date arrive nobody arrived. I spoke with a supervisor who shared that a request and never been submitted and someone would get in contact with me within the next day. The next day came and nobody called. I had to follow up only to hear that there was not an estimated date as to when a technician would have to come out. I had to cancel services and move to a different provider because I work from home. Don't recommend frontier if you're moving addresses. read more

Worst service provider ever. New boxes meant new issues like to guide or on demand services. When my son reached out to the online Tech Service, they disconnected our live TV and then cut off the chat. When he called back and asked for a service manager he was told that it would take a week for a technician to come to the house to try to fix the issue. NOT ACCEPTABLE FRONTIER. Your inept technician is the reason for this issue and I have to go without service for a week and pay for that week of NON service. I am raising hell at 8am when the service department opens tomorrow. I have paid my bill on time and been a customer for 13 years to be treated like this really pisses me off. We signed up for their optic fiber b/c the only choice in our area was cox and they had terrible internet. The internet with Frontier is much better so far, however, their customer service lives up to its poor reputation. This is something we even discussed with the sales tech. They are charging us for digital voice which was never installed. They set up auto pay. They put you between a rock and a hard place. No bill no account no. No account no cannot create one. auto pay doesn't provide a bill. The first Chat line person wouldn't help. I tried again and Mike Stephen on chat and he finally set me up. and provided an account no and created an online account.. I then tried to get an added on charge removed that we didn't have. Got hung up on twice. After 2 1/2 hours of my time, they are supposed to have this resolved. It hasn't been yet but be very aware that their customer service is awful. Was forced to use Frontier Communications when I moved into my new apartment building. Started out with no wifi connection because the workers were on strike. Had to wait for weeks to get connection and was still charged for the month that I did not have wifi. But that is not the current issue I am dealing with. I received a notification of what my bill is going to be for the month of February. The bill was 4x the amount of what I normally pay. My bill is supposed to be at a fixed rate of $49.99 per month and now I am being charged over $200 for one singular month. I called their customer service line, which is supposed to be 24/7, and was told that I could leave my phone number and would be called back within an hour because the wait time was over an hour long. I waited two hours and never received a call back. I tried calling their line AGAIN and was told that their customer service line was closed at around 5:00 P.M. I have called them 2 times today and have been on hold for over an hour, and probably will not receive any answers about my bill. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. If I wasn't forced to have Frontier, I definitely would not have it. read more

Worst service there is. There's always an outage. You can't talk to anyone. The number will say sorry and hang up. When you request a callback, they'll either never call back, hang up right away when they call back, or what I am experiencing right now is they'll just put you back on hold. They called back, and it put me on hold as I was writing this, going on ten minutes. The chat is horrible no response, and after 15 to 30 minutes, someone will say No response and close the chat. Worst customer service experience that I have ever experienced. Save your money, time, and energy, and DO NOT get this crappy service. Frontier cable came into my backyard without permission to access utility pole. They stole hand painted flower pots and ceramic garden decor. BEWARE. Beware. User for 2 years -- Internet service has been reliable, pricing average. I have been reliable too -- 100% on time (autopay) and up to date. But when I sold my house and wanted to cancel my service the nightmare started: - can't cancel service online, must call (this is an internet company?) - can only call during limited bus hours (not easy if you are working), but you can schedule a call back - Agent charged a $10 cancel fee. Really? - Agent said I must pay through the end of the billing cycle regardless of when they stop service (no pro rata). When I complained that no one else does that, she left for a minute and returned with a pro rata approval. Do they just want to see if anyone complains? I would have been satisfied with my service without this crooked ending. I will not be transferring my Frontier service to my new address. read more

This is an unexpected review. I've had Frontier since they took over my Verizon service years ago and have never been a fan. Monday during the storm our power went down several times and it 'broke' the power source for our Internet. Spoke with a tech on the phone, he was very thorough and professional. Determined that the power source had to be physically looked at and an appt was made for Thursday. Explained I worked at home and asked if possible to be serviced sooner. Today, Wednesday, I got a call from a tech (Jose C) saying he could be at my house in 20 min. He showed up, was extremely professional and nice, and he replaced the broken equipment and had my internet back up in under 20 minutes! I was blown away by the excellent service that I received from Frontier! In the past I would do everything to avoid interacting with them because I found their customer service to be horrendous... this experience has changed my view. Terrible customer service. When they came out for installation they decided to put the router across the room behind the couch without thinking to try next to the TV first like our other routers have always been placed. This is an inconvenience to us because we use that area for other things. It really didn't make any sense to me why they just didn't put it next to the TV. They said they run tests to find out the best spot to place the router but were unable to locate any tests when I asked about them. The technician didn't try to put it anywhere else and to top it off, he moved my furniture any did not put it back. The supervisor said if they send someone else to fix the issue I would be charged $40+ even though this is their error. They also said if I were to cancel even though it's only been 2hrs at the time of installation I would still be charged for the month. *Update: Tech support said there's no record of them doing "tests" to see the best place to put the router. He said I could have it anywhere I wanted which I asked and agreed previously for it to be put next to the TV. This is really sad, ridiculous, and very unprofessional. Update: day 3 no internet. Frontier admitted its their fault why I have no internet. I've been transferred and "disconnected" so many times now. Each time I ask to speak with a supervisor I get transferred to another Dept and I've to start the process over again. THE WORST COMPANY. The worst company ever. 2 days on hold for 3 hours each. Was transferred 5 times! I lost 2 days of work because no one could get me an answer and got written up because of it. Literally no department knew how to solve my issue of my internet being disconnected on a "service order" they said I put on my account and never did.
