When I come to NY I have to have white pizza. This place did not disappoint. The service is quick and the pizza is delicious! I highly recommend all their pizza slices but especially the white one. One of my friends got a margarita and another friend got a sausage slice and they both loved theirs as well. We sat outside and got a view of the Manhattan Bridge.

We came here based off of recommendations at the dumbo flea market but were very disappointed. Both of the slices we ordered we subpar and the buffalo chicken slice was arguably kinda bad. Service here was great though, the employees are very nice.

Got a margherita pie for takeout and really enjoyed it. It arrived hot and crispy with a great crust, and I loved the generous amount of garlic. Personal preference: I'd skip the sliced tomatoes and add a bit more sauce. Overall, a very solid pizza that I'd happily again.

Seems like a small family restaurant. Pizza was great! Ordered the meat lovers and staff were nice. It is a big slice but I did end up eating it all. My daughter got the normal pepperoni and husband ordered the works which is like a supreme pizza. We all enjoyed our food. It is near the dumbo lower manhattan. Great stop to get a bite if you're hungry.

A very decent pizza by the slice place. I got the vodka sauce slice (I really liked it!). My husband got the cheese slice, and my friends got the mushrooms and veggie slices. We all enjoyed what we got. Service was quick but could be nicer?. They have a lot of tables inside and some outside so you can enjoy your food outside if the weather is good enough.

The pizza here is notably great, and it is therefore really busy. The crust is thin and crispy, and I swear it almost disintegrates in your mouth with each bite. The cheese is high quality and in the right amount. The sauce is subtle, rich in flavor, but not overbearing. It's one of the best slices I've had in NYC visiting over the past 20+ years.

It was ok. The pizza wasn't the best pizza, we felt that if we had ordered the whole pie it would've been much more fresh and cheesy based on what we saw from other tables. Garlic knots were ok, bread a little tough. But the service and the ambiance I felt were enough to garner 4 stars.

We had a tour guide in Brooklyn Heights who gave my husband and me a tour of Brooklyn Heights. We concluded our tour at the DUMBO district. A must see area. It is fun, lively, a Merry go round and Hughe food court with countless choices. This was the last place we went to sample food. The pizza crust is delicious as was the sauce and fresh toppings

Pepperoni and vodka slice with mozzarella. Both were delicious!

We stopped here for lunch after walking the Brooklyn Bridge and it was a great choice. The staff is friendly and prompt, the prices are reasonable, and most importantly, the pizza is tasty! We ordered a few different slices and each piece came out piping hot. The crust has the perfect amount of crispiness. I was very pleased with my experience here and would definitely dine here again!

We decided to explore the town of DUMBO and wanted a quick bite before our walk across the Brooklyn bridge. We happened upon Front Street Pizza and ordered a slice of pizza. The staff was friendly and the pizza was good. A great place for a quick bite of New York style pizza.

thin crust. Great sauce. Nice toppings. Great place for a New York slice. The slices are generous and tasty. You can dine inside and the restaurant has a casual atmosphere.

On our way back to the city from Dumbo I searched for a pizza joint close by to grab a slice to snack on. Surprisingly, most places closed what I would consider early, so we found the closest place still open. Much to Ben's delight, this was a place reviewed by One Bite Pizza Reviews. He thinks Dave Portnoy is hilarious, so naturally, I got bonus points for picking this place over others. Though it was close to closing time, the place was still pretty full, and there were plenty of people in line. Unfortunately, that also meant there were limited options on slices to pick from. Like super limited, and for me, the only option was a mushroom and cheese slice, which happened to be the last one, too. So we paid and then waited while they threw the slice back in the oven to heat it up. Oddly, while Ben waited by the line for my slice, another patron came in while they were wrapping ours up and start spouting off that he wanted that piece. Like over and over... the guy behind the counter tried to explain that it wasn't available and the guy was getting loud about that he previously ordered it long before. Yeah, okay... then why was it still available, bro? When the employee went to hand it to Ben, the guy continued on like he thought Ben would be like, "Sure buddy, we paid for it, but you go ahead and take the last slice." I could hear everything and was about to get up and go snag my damn slice myself! Like, who does that? Acting like you ordered it way before... it's called a line, first come, first serve. Made for a good story, though, that is for sure! We still are cracking jokes about it. Now, onto the pizza... I don't think it's 100% fair that it was a fresh slice, but I definitely can't say they were cheap on the number of shrooms. I think the crust and undercarriage would have been different with a fresh slice. But for a late night snack, it's big enough for us to share for about 6 bucks, sold!

Sausage Slice and Sicilian Slice which hit the spot! :)

After a nice stop and a secret garden in west Greenwich, I decided to use the points I had racked up and suggested a beverage at the Spaniard. It was agreed upon, in part as i suggested "they probably have a nice bathroom". Of which they did. It helped they had a nice house drink menu too. My gal found something she would like, and she did. After a fun drink off their menu I got a scotch. Old Putney 12 year. My Lourd it was good. If we had time I would have gotten an Oban they had, but we were off. But we will be back, maybe this year. And if I have racked up enough points in the area, I will suggest this excellent whisky bar.

Walking through the cold streets, I stumbled upon The Spaniard which has quickly become one of my favorite NY destinations! We were there for a quick 30 hour trip to experience the "Holiday Magic". After a long day of travel, we just needed something good. We arrived and they accommodated us in a back booth tucked behind the bar, perfect! Our waiter was a delight and very responsive. The martini was kick-ass and our waiter was kind enough to offer us many recommendations. We landed on Charbroiled Oysters, Steak Tartare, and French Onion Dip. Someone slap me, I'm drooling while I write this review over a year later. Seriously, phenomenal. Every bite was amazing! We cleared the table and manged a few cocktails during our time with The Spaniard. If you are ever in the West Village, stop by, you won't be sorry! Thanks me later, actually!

As for food, there were some true hits but most of the food was good but basic. The highlights for me were the wild mushrooms & rice cakes as well as the Caesar salad - loved the use of nori in the salad and would definitely come back for the mushrooms. The chicken cutlet and chicken dumplings were fine but I probably wouldn't order them again. The wait staff weren't super attentive nor super warm, but they were efficient when we asked for water refills, etc. There was ample standing room at the bar while we waited for our friends, but the table/booth that we sat at was super narrow, I was knocking knees with my friend all night and generally felt squished.

Not surprising, then, that it was pretty packed by the time we finished dinner, at 10:30ish. Serptentine has a solid cocktail list, one that definitely reflects the West Village sensibility. The drinks are all clear variations of classics (ie., martini, negroni, espresso martini, margarita, old fashioned, etc.) but with some added intrigue. All well-executed and made efficiently, which is very impressive during weekend primetime. If you're not nearby I wouldn't make a trip to the area just for Serpentine, but it's a fantastic option if you live/work in the neighborhood and/or are getting a meal in the area and are looking for a bar to start or end at. As I mentioned, it was relatively busy when we arrived here. There weren't any open seats initially but the host said we could hang around the bar for a bit, as he expected a table to open soon. It was probably 10 minutes before we were sat which is basically like being sat immediately in New York time. And generally, the staff here were great -- very personable and accommodating, quick service, only praise in that area. The vibes here are cozy but lively, giving more of a friend hangout than a date (it's also relatively loud so not ideal for conversation if you're sitting across from someone at a table, versus standing and mingling or sitting on bar stools). If you're a dirty martini person you are in luck here, because the Serpentini (grey goose vodka, dry vermouth, olive brine, pepperocini liqueur) is unlike any other. And I get dirty martinis pretty much everywhere I go, so that's saying something. Why is it so unique, you may ask? Well, the pepperocini liqueur is a nice touch and props to whoever decided it was necessary to make such a thing. But the real game changer is the sidecar. You may be thinking -- how is a sidecar unique? Well, it's not just any sidecar...it is not filled with more martini but simply PURE FILTHY BRINE. I mean, if you're ordering a dirty martini, you probably would take a bath in olive brine, brush your teeth with olive brine -- hell, maybe even your contact solution is just olive brine. Want to make your martini dirtier as you drink it? Serpentine has you covered. It is so simple and obvious yet I've never experienced it before. And, because I've never met someone who loves dirty martinis who doesn't also drool over blue cheese-stuff olives, the Serpentini's got that too. Though less exciting and groundbreaking, Mezcal Negroni (ilegal mezcal, campari, averna amaro, lo-fi gentian amaro) is also solid. I love a mezcal negroni and this one is relatively straightforward, just a subtle variation with a few different amaros to add some complexity and herbal notes. A fun and versatile neighborhood spot. It's in prime location so I imagine to rent is absurd, so fingers crossed that it sticks around!
