We hired Fritz and his team to completely redo most of the landscaping for our house, front and back, and we're super-happy with the process and the results. Fritz spent a lot of time with us to help us plan it out in advance and when his team was working, he would come to the house at least once a day, sometimes more, to make sure they were getting everything right. He's been doing this a long time and I could tell he really knew his stuff, inside and out, which helped a lot. And he was really nice and patient with us, even when we were changing or adding things in mid-stream. It looked like his team also really knew what they were doing too. For each phase, there were quite a few guys working and they worked efficiently and got a lot done in a short time. It was a pretty extesive project and they got it done faster than I had believed possible, mostly finishing in just over a week, even with the add-ons and changes we asked for. He also brought in some great skilled help for a couple of the sub-projects we added - an excellent carpenter that replaced a short wooden partial enclosure in the front and a raised vegetable garden in the back. His work was just outstanding. You can see in the details, the joins, etc. that it is well-crafted. And we decided to revive a fountain that hadn't worked in years so Fritz brought in a great electrican who got it going again and added a better switch configuration that brought everyting up to code while still looking nifty. Our landscaping went from looking delapidated and withered to what we feel like is the nicest in our neighborhood. It's lovely and has some character and charm and I honestly love walking up the path though it every time I come home at the end of the day. It's totally transformed the street aspect of our home. And I felt like I could really trust Fritz. He's just a nice, decent guy. He has always been super-responsive, even after the job was done and we've asked for a few extra adds & tune-ups here and there in the weeks after they finished. I've had Fritz's landscape do a couple of jobs now at my place and will be coming back if I decide to tackle more. The results on the front yard came out outstanding and exactly what I wanted. Fritz fixed my poor attempt at pavers, had a plumber replaced the water main, put in a new lawn with automatic sprinkler system and put a border of stone around the lawn. BEWARE! If I could rate Fritz Landscaping lower I would. Our experience with this company was terrible from start to finish. We hired Fritz to landscape our front and back yard. According to the landscapers that we have consulted with since firing Fritz, this was a job that should have taken one to two weeks to complete. We let Fritz and his team go after approximately 3 months. It took them 3 months to lay the pavers in the front yard and now we find out that the project is not up to code. The front steps and porch are uneven and pavers are shifting because Fritz used the wrong type of sand to seal them. Fritz started by tearing our entire front yard apart and then leaving. He sent his team once or twice a week if we were lucky. All the while, "complaining" (bragging) about the fact that he had 10 -15 other jobs going at the same time but he does not pay enough people to handle all of the jobs that he takes on. Fritz did not write any of our plans down and then would forget what we were doing often blaming me for "changing my mind". I started taking notes so that I could show him what we discussed. I could go on and on about my personal interactions with Fritz and the unprofessional comments that he made about me to my husband, but I will not get into that. All in all, Fritz Landscaping will gladly take your money and then take months and months to do terrible work. Beware! read more

We hired Fritz's landscaping after a considerable amount of research. Our experience has been terrific. We needed plant replacement, repair of our irrigation and lighting and repair for our water fountain. Fritz was extremely responsive proving us with a quote in less than 48 hours. His quote was very fair. His crew, led by Carlos, came when we were told they would come and finished the job on time. The crew were polite and respectful - cleaning up at the end of each day. Fritz took us to the nursery and helped with plant selection. He made sure that the plants delivered were healthy and Fritz came out on the job site often to make sure that we were pleased with the work and to let us know about what we could expect for the next day. These guys did a great and very professional job. We recently moved into a new house in January and the yard was an absolute mess! It was a project we tried to handle ourselves, but just never could seem to finish. So we decided to seek help. Fritz came to our house once in May, and again in October, to survey the yard and give us an estimate (I was procrastinating bad between May and October). The fact he took time to come out twice speaks a lot. His quote was reasonable and we trusted him more than the other 2 companies who came out. We did not have a big yard, only around 200 SQ feet, but they still did an awesome amount of work. They helped to demo the yard and even it out to prepare it for the job. We laid artificial grass and absolutely love it! They also outlined the yard with rock per our request, which looks great. Even more impressive is they helped to remove our two small, rickety steps on the deck and create two new beautiful steps. They look amazing and are way more safe. None of the other artificial grass companies were willing or able to do this. Carlos came by and was the main contractor who did the work, he does tremendous work. Each time if we had any concerns or issues come up they would help ease our mind. All in all took about 4 days/trips to finish, but well worth it. And as I mentioned before, they did a lot of projects for us and had to revamp a yard that had been unattended too by the previous owner for a decade. First of all, we're not the easiest people to please but Fritz went out of his way on many occasions to assure we were pleased with the work. This company did our front and backyard landscaping... the whole works. It looked beautiful after and the front lawn survived through the winter because of all the rains we got. Soon after the rain stopped we started to notice an area that is browning in the middle of the front lawn. I started to pay attention to the sprinklers and noticed that there was no sprinkler placed in the middle of the lawn. I can actually stand in the middle and feel only a few drops on me. I called the business and they did come and replaced the sprinkle heads to supposedly longer reaching ones and was told that the lawn needed to be watered everyday!!!! and that we have not been taking care of the lawn... the blame is now on us.... We did as we were told then started to cut back on the everyday lawn watering to every other day for 35 minutes and now we have the same brown spots. The back lawn is fully covered with the two sets of sprinklers and is being watered for 15 minutes every other day and it looks fine. The problem is the front lawn! One would think that with the proper number of sprinkler heads installed there would not be a need to water everyday and the whole lawn will be watered properly... All I can say is beware!!!! I have now resorted to using a portable sprinkler when we are home to cover the middle section which irks me because for what was spent on the project I expected not to resort to this.
