    Impossible burger

FANTASTIC! I regularly visit Key West but this is my first time here. The service is outstanding, as is the food. My son is vegetarian and had an impossible burger with crispy julienne potatoes on a Cuban roll. He said it was delicious. I had tostone nachos which also were spectacular. I intend to come again before leaving this island. If you find yourself in Key West wanting Cuban food, this is the place to come to. Also, I've never seen a restaurant offer a "magic meal". This is for someone who cannot afford a meal, they feed you. No questions asked. Im so impressed by this.

A hidden gem right off of duval. We saw all the great reviews and came in for lunch. It is an outdoor seating picnic table laid back vibe. Menu includes burgers, tacos, sandwiches, yuka fries, plantanes etc. My husband had the Cuban sandwich, I had the steak tacos that came with 2 tacos salsa/side of guacamole we also got a side of fried plantanes. Everything was really good even better than expected. The reason for the 4/5 is just the price. Was a little pricy for the amount of food you get/outdoor environment. We did enjoy our meal and would come back as well as reccomend, just for example 2 tacos for $16+ dollars is high even in Key West. 100% worth a try!

Wow. I am truly still speechless from how delicious Frita's is. I got a GF arepa with pork and a side of maduros, and you could instantly tell that the food was fresh and authentic. You order at the window and can sit on the quaint patio or take to-go. We did have to wait a bit for our food, but we didn't mind because everything was made fresh and came out piping hot. The prices were reasonable as well. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Key West!

Found out today the meaning of a Cuban Burger which consists of beef and pork with sauteed onions on Cuban bread served with shoestring potatoes. We stopped into Frita's Coffee Shop which was an interesting sight. The shop was in total disarray with cluttered clothing and a mish mosh of furniture (see pic to make your own decision). A wooden bar was visible but covered with various items. But I saw the espresso machine and ordered two shots from the barista. He did not know the origin of the beans although the blend was definitely dark roasted and tasty. The side of the shop was open garden type with red picnic table seating under a canopy with a small kitchen toward the back.

I LOVE FRITAS!! Right off Duval, you can't go wrong with stopping in and ordering anything off the menu. Their signatures include the Frida Cuban burger and the Cuban pork tacos, among other delicious items like empanadas, Cuban sandwiches, plantain and yuca, coffees, and desserts. Every time I'm fortunate enough to be in the Keys, I make it a priority to get to Fritas: you should too!

The best hidden gem in Key West!!! Very affordable and a wide array of options on their menu. My boyfriend ordered their cuban sandwich (which we're told is a fan favorite) and absolutely loved it. He quite literally scarfed down the whole thing (and it was a big sandwhich). I ordered their birria tacos which were wonderful and very filling. They came with a great mango coleslaw too. We also ordered a side of fries which were soooo yummy. I wish more restaurants made fries like these... clearly i'm still thinking about them. The waiter was very lovely and checked on us multiple times. We sat outside on their patio which was very cute! The waiter even brought out a fan for us because he could see we were hot, which was very nice. If I'm back in the area I will definitely be returning! This spot was my favorite out of the 4 spots we tried in Key West.

Cute tiny place selling burgers, empenadas and some other Cuban dishes. The food is good overall. The portion is tiny, but the prices are very good for this touristic area. You won't find anything more economical than this place on this prime street of key west.

The Cuban pork tacos were delicious! They give you a lot of meat and it is so flavorful! Great service- fast and friendly

First a shoutout to my boriqua brother, Henry, who made the experience perfect! If you're fortunate to have him as your waiter, he is very welcoming and friendly. The food... OMG! It's off the hook (check out the pictures). I had their popular El Fuego Frita (perfect taste) and my wife had the Cuban, which was amazing. Their sangria was perfect and had mango and cinnamon (that was such a nice touch). Anyway, if you are in Key West, you must check out this little gem! You won't regret it!

Absolutely amazing food! It's a Cuban, Central American, South American fusion at its best!! Try the elite dip, sampler, and the empanadas!! Best food so far! Great service as well! Henry was an amazing server!

Delicious! The plantains were amazing. Also got the Cuban sandwich and fish tacos. There isn't a ton of seating and it's not terribly comfortable but it's definitely a good place to go to on a nice day!

Phenomenal food and excellent service! I ordered the Cuban Pork Tacos and my sis ordered the Yuca fries and Cuban Sandwich. We ended up splitting both and they were equally amazing! Definitely will visit this place next time I am in KW!

We came here for lunch after a long day of walking around Key West. The seating is outdoors only and it's quite hidden to find this place. Otherwise the service was great and quick. It did take them a while to make the food since everything is made fresh. I got the chicken tacos and the aioli sauce in it was my favorite flavoring they put in it. I highly recommend if you want homemade food!

Can we bring our dog on the outside patio?

I am pretty sure that would be fine. Key West is "low key and casual". There is also one seating area out front at a window and you could possibly also sit there. Worst case scenario get take out and eat on a bench nearby. Frita's is SO GOOD!

From the moment we entered the restaurant to the long after time of our departure, she continuously greeted us with excitement, joined us in conversation, and even helped us capture moments in pictures. She really helped make this a memorable experience for us. Now to the food. So I have had Broils in multiple areas of the country. From Maraylamd, Texas and to the Low Country of Charlestin SC, but I have never had as tasty of Broil as I just had at the Yummy Crab in Key West Florida. I mean this place was absolutely amazing! The flavor of every piece of crab, corn, crawfish, shrimp, sasauge and potatoes in the dripping wet cajun sauce served in a bag to retain all that juice, flavor and aroma was all nearly too much to contain. So glad of all the wonderful places on the island we had to eat we chose this place. Thank you Jackie for your outstanding hospitality and service. You are amazing!

The spice they had for the boil had a sweet taste might have been the premade seafood boil seasoning. Thats what it tasted like to me .Wasn't to my liking. Something was eh about it. A must visit in key west!…read more Reservations for outside I have heard sell out weeks in advance. We were able to get a reservation inside. I was a little bummed we didn't get to see the view, but the ambiance inside is lovely too. Their menus light up which was so helpful in a dark restaurant. Our server was super helpful and made some great recommendations. We tried a few different small plates to share and enjoyed a few cocktails. Absolutely love the desserts here. It was a beautiful evening, and we were seated with a lovely view of the waterfront. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and we were happy we chose this restaurant. Food: I always enjoy when a restaurant offers a creative and inventive cocktail menu. I won't go into detail on each one, but they were all very good, especially the Spiced Old Fashioned. At our server's suggestion, we ordered a couple of plates of the Grilled Ciabatta Bread. The bread was nicely grilled, and the roasted garlic manchego butter made it especially delicious. I normally try not to fill up on bread, but this was absolutely worth it. We ordered an eclectic mix of small and large plates. Some of the standout dishes included the Lobster Mac and Cheese, Swordfish, and Crab Cake. The Brussels sprouts took top honors, perfectly roasted without being greasy, full of flavor, and complemented by a generous amount of bacon. The one disappointment was the Pork Shank Osso Buco. While it was tender, it was only warm and a bit underseasoned. It was good, but not great, especially for someone who enjoys pork shank dishes. We saved room for dessert, and they were all crowd pleasers. My personal favorite was the Cuban Bread Pudding. The Chocolate Pistachio Crème Brûlée was also unique and delicious. Service: We had reservations for 7:30 and were seated promptly. The hostess and our server did a great job of making us feel welcome. The entire two-hour meal was well paced, and we always felt attended to. I was especially impressed with the backlit menu portfolios. They made it easy to read in the evening without guests needing to use their phone flashlights, which was a thoughtful and effective use of technology. Since we were celebrating a birthday, they placed a sign on the table acknowledging the occasion, which was a nice touch. It would have been even better if one of the desserts had included a lit candle. Atmosphere: The setting is beautiful. We were seated in a smaller dining room with several other tables. When we first arrived, there was a larger, very boisterous group nearby, and it made it difficult to hear our server. Fortunately, they left about 30 minutes into our meal, and the atmosphere became much more relaxed and enjoyable. Our waterfront view added to the experience. This was a very special evening. It was also the most expensive meal we had in Key West, so it was reasonable to have high expectations. With a few improvements, it could have been a five-star experience. Definitely a place we would return to.
