If bartending were an Olympic sport, Gen would already have her gold medal mounted above the bar…read more She doesn't just pour drinks -- she orchestrates experiences. Gen has that rare gift of being everywhere at once: your glass never empties, but somehow she also has time to crack a joke, swap a story, and make you feel like you're the only person in the room. Her style? Effortlessly cool. The kind where you wonder if she was born behind a barstool with a cocktail shaker in her hand. Smooth, attentive, and utterly unflappable, she manages the chaos of a busy bar with the calm of a Zen master and the charm of your funniest friend. They just don't teach service like this anymore -- it's an art form. And Gen? She's Picasso with a pour spout. If The Wheel Bar has a secret ingredient, it's Gen. Long may her brand of bar wizardry live on.

The vibe and attitude from some of the staff can come across as unwelcoming, which takes away from an otherwise great experience. Customer service is a huge part of any business, and based on my most recent visit as well as a few previous one I left feeling disappointed. I genuinely enjoy this place and want to keep coming back, so I hope management takes a closer look at the customer experience and holds staff to a higher standard. The bar has a lot of potential, but the service needs to match the quality of the drinks.

I will always review a proper dive bar with Campari on the shelf…read more Had two Negronis and I have no proof as the camerawoman was too slow in this case. This place was a total random date find for me, but glad I stopped in. Everything from the rowed Xmas lights on the ceiling, to the custom avant-garde wooden bar top speaks late 60s/early 70s cozy-chic to me. On top of this, the music and clientele rocks and, as a bonus, the interior is decked out in Rat Pack movie memorabilia -- apropos as the spot is, I imagine, named for the 1955 Sinatra film! Stop in and say hello to the killer bartenders.

I got to try the Dirty Thai Tea and my bf got his own beer. Trying the Dirty Thai Tea, it was extremely sweet. Too sweet to the point I was forcing myself to drink it, but my bf asked the bartender to make it less sweet, which tasted much better! They added oat milk to it. In the end, it just. tasted like a normal thai tea and not so much like an alcoholic drink anymore haha. I was totally fine with it anyways. Beers are solid as well. Plenty of seating area if you're not sitting at the bar. The bar is a bit tight. Luckily you can bring your drink around. Parking can be a bit difficult if the plaza is too busy, but not impossible.

Great bar, great bartenders!

Every time I've been here, the table service has been extremely slow and disorganized. The staff is mostly younger, and orders are regularly forgotten or take forever to make it to the table. You'll be sitting there clearly waiting for service while servers walk by repeatedly without checking in or seeming to know what's going on. At this point, you're honestly better off just walking up to the bar and ordering your drinks yourself rather than waiting for someone to come to your table. I really want to like this place because the atmosphere is great, but the service seriously needs better organization, training, and attentiveness. It shouldn't be this difficult to order a drink.

It had pork, hominy, cabbage, radish and it was encompassed in a slightly crunchy shell. Soooo tasty. It was the star of the show. My husband got the birria queso taco plate which he enjoyed throughly. We asked for chips and salsa, their house salsa was red and had a smokiness to it. We also tried their habanero salsa which had a kick to it while being flavor. Both A+ Melody was our server was SUPER attentive, she remembered to bring out what we asked for ( salsa habanero, salt, lime etc.). She went above and beyond.
