I love Frisch's Big Boy, and I was happy to find a location here while I am working in the area. This morning I enjoyed the breakfast bar which was clean and well stocked. It featured eggs, fried potatoes and hash browns, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, bacon, sausage, and much more. The salad and fruit bar was also available. My server was very personable and pleasant. Ate here at the request of my mom while traveling . She grew up eating at Big Boy and it had been years since she ate at one. My burger was bland. We had pretzels with beer cheese and Cheese sticks as appetizers and those were really good. The service was fine, but I personally wasn't impressed with the burger. My wife and I visited this location for lunch around 2pm Jan 31. First off the server was absolutely amazing, kind, polite, and quick! We ordered the salad bar, I had the grilled chicken with Mac n cheese. My wife had a cheese burger. The grilled chicken looked very unappealing, tasted bland. I couldn't eat it. The Mac n cheese looked dry, I didn't even try it. The cheeseburger was extremely thin and my wife said it did not even taste like beef. The salad bar was good and the place was clean. Only bad thing was the food. But we still will return as we enjoy the service we get each time we are there. read more

First time in about six months that I have stopped here at Frisch's in Georgetown Ky. It was 11:30 am right at close to lunchtime me and my friend we ordered the bad boy platter he said it was great well I didn't care for. Ordered slaw it was good fresh along with french fries they was nice and crispy just the way I like them but the Bad boy does not hold a candle to the big boy which had ordered the big boy can't beat an old reliable sandwich like that service was good it was quick. The waitress was nice and friendly kept our glass bowl with refills. I recommend eating here if you're in Georgetown Kentucky. Did notice one thing or a few people was wearing mask employees and customers you could tell the people that was over 65 they had masks on. read more

Impossible Big Boy sandwich... shocked when I removed the bun to see a patty smaller than the palm of my hand. I had to remove at least half of the bun in order to not eat a bread sandwich. Sandwich tasted good, but this should be called a Junior impossible Big Boy & they should have buns equivalent to the size of the plant based burger. Service & rest of order was perfect! read more

I've seen the statue of the little boy in a checkered apron holding up a tray of food on many different highways. Yet... that statue never appealed to me enough to entice me inside the building for a meal. It was just another symbol of another fast food restaurant.... or so I thought. Then, one night, my husband and I were driving around this area of Georgetown, considering dinner options when we noticed Big Boy. Neither of us had been there before.... so why not try it now? I had no idea what to expect other than a guess it would be some kind of diner atmosphere inside. We were completely surprised to see a family-style restaurant with plush booths and tables, surrounding some kind of salad bar. It was clean and bright, with a very friendly staff that greeted and seated us right away. After scanning the menu, I decided on a fish & fries dinner while my husband ordered a burger. Our food came quickly, and it was pretty good. Not marvelous, but delicious enough that we devoured our meals quickly and were stuffed. Desert simply wasn't an option as our stomachs couldn't contain more food! The bill wasn't too bad --- still under $20 for the two of us. I like to think of this place as a cross between IHOP and Steak N Shake. Yep. That's a good way to put it. Great place to stop for food while you're on the road if you're looking for something a bit more than fast food but not too fancy. Would I come back? Yes.... when the mood strikes. The burgers were overcooked hickey pucks...the soda tasted kike it was dirty..they forgot all the sauces, the chili was bland as water, they forgot a side of onion rings and the pretzel app(;Was staying 10 minutes away and didn't open the stapled closed bag till I got back..my bad). Today did not have time went through the drive thru and ordered one of their new breakfast sandwiches. Wow what a huge sandwich for $3.99. Had 2 sausage patties and egg and cheese on a grilled specialty bun. Sure beats McDonald's. Keep up the great work. One more thing. I had be coming Ming in for years and never had been disappointed. They have a Manager named Alex. He is so kind and always goes from table to table treating people making sure everyone is satisfied. Don't see that too often and it does make a difference. Say it with me! "Hog Heaven Breakfast Burrito" I cant get enough! It's my go to breakfast when we order in or on the run in the mornings. Well this weekend I had to work and Alex took my order on Saturday and Sunday (no judging okay) and he was the most polite person I have ever encountered in fast food. He even gave me some suckers and thanked me for my hard work (I work in healthcare) and remembered me the second day. I can't brag on him enough. He made my day and left a smile on my face when it was 7am and I just wanted food and coffee. That genuine kindness and enthusiasm is so hard to find especially on a weekend early morning and I want him to know how much it made my day better! As for my burrito... Almost every meal I have eaten at Frisch's has been breakfast foods...I like that they serve breakfast all day. Haven't been impressed with their omelets, but recently ordered a breakfast consisting of hash browns, French toast, and scrambled eggs and all were pretty good. The meal only cost $3.99 as well (you can hardly get a fast food combo for that price), and it was very filling. She is by far the best server they have ever had in my experience. The only problem I have with this one is their restrooms, no matter how much they clean the tile it just looks so dirty. We were looking at breakfast options for our trip home and came across this place. I miss when Big Boy was the Shoney's mascot and didn't realize he still existed. I guessed that this restaurant would have a breakfast buffet so we could get food fast and get back on the road. The restaurant has plenty of seating with a mixture of tables and booths. We arrived shortly after they opened so we were given the option of either since they weren't busy yet. The booth we sat in was comfortable. The place has a small local diner feel but with a lot more room. Our waitress was quick to get our drink order and provided great service during our entire visit. The breakfast buffet hit the spot. There were so many different meats such as sausage, ham, sausage links, bacon, and even a veggie option. I'm not entirely sure what was in the veggie option but I'm pretty sure it had quinoa and it was good. The eggs were fresh and fluffy. There were three different kinds of potatoes which excited me because breakfast potatoes are my favorite. I had all three which were hash rounds, roasted potatoes, and roasted potatoes topped with sour cream, bacon bits, and green onions. The wonderful thing about having to get up early is the food is fresh. Even the grits were good and I don't usually like restaurant grits. Our server offered us pancakes but we declined although I did take her up on a drink to go. Other buffet items included biscuits, white gravy, french toast sticks, salad, fruit, and others I can't remember. Everything was good and the service was quick. This will be our go to breakfast place for our return home trips from our family in Kentucky. read more

Ordered from them 2 times now and disappointed both times. The first time I ordered a loaded baked potato and received a plain potato. the second time we ordered we didn't get half of our order. we called and they blamed everyone except themselves. Both these orders were delivery. Food quality is horrible, salty fried chicken and salty haddock. No baked potatoes before 4 pm but nowhere on the menu does it say that. We've been going to frisch's since before we could walk.. we're in our 60's now! Always was good and no major complaints for all those years. But today... I ordered a brawny lad, onion rings, and sweet tea. The sandwich was falling apart and had way too many onions on it. It comes with onions on it but it was out of control! There was even some mayo on it the tea tasted like some cheap fruit punch! Everything got tossed out! I ended up going to Culver's! Yum! Sorry Frisch's you're just falling behind and the only thing I can say is still good is the strawberry pie! Probably won't go back. Too many other places that care about the food they serve! Ate breakfast bar 7:30 am Friday morning 1-19-2018. Sad. Sausage burned, eggs tough, bacon over cooked and 1 rock solid biscuit. Waitress was embarrassed and tried to stock it herself. This not the first time I've ran into these issues at this same restaurant. Manager totally out of touch. He stays at the register "hey buddies " everyone. We stopped for dinner 7 of us, 3 children 4 adults. 2 of us ordered the hot bar, Big Mistake!!!! Everything looked like it had been there since they first opened it. Mashed potatoes were yellow/ brown clams were so hard you could break a tooth, what looked like maby roast beef was so dried out looked like dog food (not something I'd ever feed my dog)gets completely worse from there. The 2 if us that ordered the hot bar never ate the childrens food .. hamburger looked like a burnt piece of cardboard, pancakes were over cooked and tough. Now the service "WORST I'VE HAD" in a long time, I had to go find silverware after asking for napkins 3 times had to go find them also. Asked 3 times for crayons for the children had to go find them also. Husband told the Manager of our experience with the hot bar she did take them off the bill. We were there for at least two hours between finally getting the food and the waiting on the check only seen our waitresses maby 4 times that would include bringing the check. Now every time I had to go looking for items she neglected to bring us, Our waitress was standing at the counter talking and laughing. Now I am always a good tipper 20% sometimes a little more if the server is exceptional today is the first time I gave less than 10% . The management at this location has gone downhill so much, you can keep remodeling all you want that doesn't help how a place is managed. Never will go back!!! read more

I am a vegetarian, so finding breakfast foods is difficult. I was pleased to discover that Frisch's white gravy (not sausage gravy) does not contain any meat or animal fat. Nor does their biscuits. Both have been verified through their corporate offices. I normally have a small order of biscuits and gravy (subbing white gravy for sausage gravy which they don't mind doing), a bowl of grits, and coffee for under $6. It is a very tasty, filling, and inexpensive breakfast. They are usually swamped on Sunday mornings which has caused some service problems, but normally you get served quickly by the very friendly wait staff. I never had a big boy, when I saw the sign I hung a louie and dove into the parking lot. I had my doubts right off the bat when I entered the building and could hear the manager bitching at the crew about some trivial crap to do with the schedule. Took a seat at the island and was greeted my mrs Angie and all her southern charm. She helped me navigate the menu and ordered a big boy and fries. The whole time I waited for my food Steve the mgr. bitching at the kitchen crew. My sandwich came and was missing the fries. Guess the cook could not get Steve off his ass long enough for him to drop the fries. Finely the fries came and it was time to get down to business. Why didn't I learn. It is a thing with me and my Mom that we go to the movies and then to Frisch's afterwards (I let my Mom pick the restaurant). Last time we were here there was two servers and the manager was cooking. I got soup off the salad bar which was extremely salty. Disgusting. Went through the drive thru for breakfast meal: french toast & hash browns. First of all, the french toast was basically charred. Very burnt, the knife could barely slice through. Second of all, on top of it being burnt I found multiple hairs in it (3 or 4). The hash browns were okay except they tasted like they had been smothered in butter, that's all I could taste.
