Holy moly sweet tooth satisfied! So good, great options. Friendly staff, some not as helpful but overall good. So many to choose from, all the different combinations, can't wait to keep trying more. Parking lot is a bit confusing, there is street parking too. Plenty of space to sit down and eat there and outside. Fairly clean bathrooms. Will be back to try more flavors. Great way to mix churros and ice cream and sugar. Happy eating! read more

Family and I were visiting from Dallas. This place didn't disappoint. Wife ordered elote. Daughter had the Cesar Salad ice cream with churros. Churros were some of the best we ever had and fresh. Definitely stop here again. Service was excellent. Staff very friendly! read more

Oh my goodness, the smell alone in this place makes you hungry! The owner is nice as can be, offers tastes if you need one, and is sooo pleasant to talk to! It's clean and charming on the inside. They offer samples of their ice cream to ensure you are picking one you will enjoy. The churro bars are similar to sundays/blizzards and come with warm gooey churros in them. Came for a late night craving and so happy this place is open til 9 on a Sunday, so rare and I appreciate it! The menu had lots of good appetizer like foods on the menu and they were intriguing, like Mexican street corn cups and all that. But, my mission was ice cream. The whole place smelt like churros so I had to get an order of churros on the side, they were great! Crispy and warm. As far as ice cream they had a bunch of flavors, some more different than others but definitely a variety. The staff at the counter let me try a few and they were all good, the stand outs were the avocado, baileys and the flavor of the month banana. Frio Mexican Treats is an authentic Mexican desert, coffee, shake, and snack shop. It is a very cute and cozy place to visit to grab a snack or sip on some delicious coffee. The kids will love coming here (great childhood memories). It has a small and pleasant Mexico getaway vibe. The customer service is outstanding as you feel like you're visiting family and/or friends. Great treates (5 stars) but no organization (1 star)! We stopped in recently with our whole family. The pros included: a great selection of tasty treats, sundays, churros, homemade ice cream, other types of sides Including Mexican corn. We all tried a variety of ice cream desserts and enjoyed the quality of everything. It's a fun place and nice addition to local Appleton businesses! It's a huge inside, there's plenty of seating and they have nice tables outside for enjoying your tasty treat in the summer. ---------------------- Cons- there is no flow! Tiny area for ordering! The menu board is not in a good area for viewing from the ice cream station. Once you are ready to order you have to step out of the corner and try to find the end of the other line to the register. There were so many people jammed, no one knew where the line ended and people were cutting in front of each other!! The owner needs to hire more staff, It took us about 30 minutes to receive our ice cream. We counted 1 girl at register and 2 behind counter. They were very nice but unfortunately very slow. The whole place was backed up. I'm so happy for this new local business but since the owners know they are swamped they need to hire more staff to service the clientele. We as a family look forward to going back and trying more items on their menu... But we are going to wait a few months until the newness wears off... and its not so busy. We simply do not wish to wait 30 minutes for a dessert we can simply make at home in a couple of minutes. Congrats to the owners! read more

For savory, my friend and I tried the carne seca - Mexican style jerky on top of potato chips drizzled with a tangy sauce. And dorilocos - Doritos (can do half Doritos and hot Cheetos which I did) mixed with corn, pickled jalapeños, creamy cheese goodness. For sweet, we had avocado ice cream - incredibly creamy and delicious. And fried ice cream from the churro bar - life.changing. This place was amazing!! I try not to indulge in desserts too much but I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and it did not disappoint! The interior was clean, very cute and spacious. The staff were super friendly too! We ordered the fried ice cream that came with churros and deep fried flakes and it was amazing! My boyfriend changed the vanilla ice cream to baileys ice cream and he loved it. I will definitely be back here again. I was surprised to see that they had a lot of options other than sweets as well. The pictures on their menu are very accurate to what I got. One note is if you're located further away from the restaurant to request that the toppings be put on the side as they get soggy. The price point is a little high for my liking but on par with the place I used to work. I'll definitely be stopping here again as a treat!

ACOCA immediately gives off that independent coffeehouse/artsy/creative energy you don't necessarily expect when you're remembering the Appleton of your younger days. We all ordered the Bagels & Lox with salad, and I'm not gonna lie ~ that plate looked damn good. Fresh lox, colorful veggies, pickled onions, greens and an everything bagel. Add some quality coffee and you've got yourself a pretty solid morning. The space was spotless, the service was friendly, the drinks were good and the atmosphere was genuinely cool. But let's talk $$$. This was the priciest morning meal we had in Appleton, and one person in our group felt the price was a little high considering you have to put the sandwich together yourself, and only one of us was given a small ramekin of salad dressing accompanying our meal. Also we wish the bagel was slightly toasted instead of just a sliced everthing bagel. Still, I'd rather pay a little more occasionally for a place with personality than eat somewhere completely forgettable. ACOCA definitely has personality. Would I return? Absolutely!!! This is more my vibe for morning eats & cold/hot brew (Coffee/tea) that is Brews. Views. Food. Sometimes the journey takes you somewhere that doesn't involve beer.

What is really cool is up by the front they have some old wagon wheels that have been turned into tables. There are plenty of food items as well as pastries so no shortage on things to eat here. They also have a good variety of coffees from drip to pour over espresso. You name it. I got a blueberry muffin and a vanilla latte. The blueberry muffin is full of blueberries, super moist and delicious. The vanilla latte is spot on perfectly made. If you're in the area, I highly recommend coming over here.

The gelato itself had the exact mouth feel you expect from a authentic gelato. It was creamy and when rolled across your tongue melted instantly. It was lightly flavored of peach and topped with cinnamon. I mixed the cinnamon into the gelato to eat. I like how they topped it with a little cookie. Fair price for the quality of the gelato at $3.50 for one flavor. If I see them out and about again I will for sure stop over to get some.
