If you're looking for a healthier yet still indulgent breakfast option, consider coming here…read more Everything appears homemade and is so tasty. Their baked goods all look scrumptious. We got one of their açaí bowls, a quiche, a lemon blueberry cake and chocolate waffle. Everything was chefs kiss and a hit. They also have some packaged snacks so we picked up their local dried cherries and dried apples. We sat outside on the picnic benches but they also have plenty of indoor seating. Water is self service and the bathroom is rather far away from the cafe. I suggest not coming here if you're in a rush, because their service is on the slower side.

Ambience and Experience: This little coffee shop is located in what used to be an old auto mechanic…read moreshop. They have done a great job of flipping the space. Retro wallpaper and vibe give this place unique and quirky charm while the two glass garage doors open up to provide for an decently sized (and relaxingly breezy) space. Employees were super friendly and chatty (in a good way), they shared some insights and tips about exploring the town while I waited for my coffee. Super helpful and welcoming while also being down to Earth. Drinks: We mostly came here for coffee and to chill for a bit. They offered coffee flights here so my wife was sold to stop and try them. We like flights because you get to sample more of the menu without committing to just one thing. After the flights, I did also try a separate flavored latte off of the menu has well. The lattes were not too sweet and the flavor profiles fit the espresso base without overpowering the coffee flavors. My favorite out of all of them were the Huckleberry Latte and the Black Sesame Foam Latte (The Goth I think is what they called it). Fun little shop to stop and grab a drink and bite to eat. Bonus - they are only 1/2 mile away from Lake Michigan and a local park. Park and grab a drink to go and explore the beach!

However I couldn't decide so I got one scoop of Apple Crisp and one of Cow Tipping! Apple Crisp is obviously an apple taste with a cinnamon in the mix. It works in ice cream form, it was delicious. The Cow Tipping is vanilla with chocolate chunks and swirls of carmel. This was very good too, though I preferred the Apple Crisp. The service was very good and moved at a good pace. Overall a 5 star review. Would I return? Yes I would. I went back and was going to get a scoop of Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream. However they were out, so I got a chocolate shake instead. Most recently, a staff member wearing a sweater (while everyone else was in uniform), with an asymmetrical greenish-blue haircut, was completely rude when I asked for my food to be remade because it came out the second I finished paying--clearly made before I even pulled up. She didn't say a word, handed me the food, and slammed the window in my face. This isn't the first time I've experienced attitude from staff here, and never once have I received a professional apology. I've also never seen a manager, supervisor, or anyone in charge on-site. At this point, I no longer expect professionalism from this location, which is disappointing after giving them multiple chances.
