I would strongly encourage anyone considering working here to think carefully before accepting a position.
I worked at Legendairy for over a year and put a significant amount of time, effort, and responsibility into this business. I took on leadership responsibilities, helped keep the store running, and consistently cared about the crew and the success of the business.
Unfortunately, I left feeling extremely disappointed by the way employees are treated and, more importantly, by the culture created by management.
The biggest issue is that employee concerns do not feel genuinely heard or supported. There are ongoing problems with communication, accountability, gossip, inconsistent expectations, and the way feedback is handled. When concerns are brought forward, the response often feels less like an effort to understand the employee's perspective and more like management closing ranks around each other.
I personally reached a point where I felt the situation needed to be addressed, so I brought my concerns directly to ownership. I did not do that because I wanted drama or because I expected everything to change overnight. I did it because I had invested a lot into this workplace and genuinely hoped the concerns would be taken seriously.
Unfortunately, I did not see the meaningful accountability or change I had hoped for.
What ultimately made my decision to leave even easier was finding out that, even after everything, management was having negative conversations about me. I was told that the owner said I had not been helpful during my time there and that they would be "just fine without me."
After more than a year of showing up, taking on additional responsibility, helping lead the crew, and doing my best to keep things together, hearing that was incredibly telling.
No employee should have to wonder whether the concerns they bring to management will become something they are later talked about negatively for. And no employee should have to feel like their contributions only matter when management needs something from them.
There are genuinely good people who work here. The crew is not the problem. In fact, the people working on the floor deserve far more support, communication, and consideration than I felt they received.
My experience taught me that when management is unwilling to hold itself accountable, the same problems will continue. Employees can leave, be replaced, and be told that the business will be "just fine without them," but that doesn't address the underlying issues that caused good employees to leave in the first place.
If you're considering working here, go in with your eyes open. Ask yourself whether you are comfortable working in an environment where management may not agree with you, where concerns may not lead to meaningful change, and where the relationship between management can feel more important than the concerns being raised by the crew.
I genuinely hope things improve for the employees who are still there. They deserve to feel respected, supported, and heard.
Unfortunately, after my experience, I cannot recommend Legendairy as a workplace. read more
