I went to my handy dandy guide Yelp to find a reputable plumber/plumbing company. I looked at a few companies and opted for WaterWork Plumbing based on their Yelp rating and location. They were rated a 4.0 out of 5. They were located in a neighboring city. I called on a Friday afternoon and was given an appointment for Monday. No problem! To my surprise, I received a callback that a plumber had become available and could come right then. I was excited to get my toilet situation addressed on the same day. Mark was the dispatched plumber. He was on-time, professional and knowledgeable. He was able to change my push button flusher to a traditional handle one. He also replaced the cap and hoses in the tank to prevent a future call. He even adjusted my water valve to the proper level to have the toilet fill back up quickly. At some point, someone had dialed down the water causing it to fill up slowly. Mark was the man for this day for me! It was the answer for the problem and he was able to eliminate future problems. This was worth every dime that was spent and they get five stars from me. I also have added them as a contact in my phone should I need their services again.

I appreciate the knowledge the workers bring, they usually understand some of the older setups I have in my house and what they are the way they are. I explained what was going on and he spent time finding the issue. He took his time and was up front about things. Since that time whenever we need anything I call him. I have kept his number this whole time. I have recommended him to friends and he will tell you if he can do it or not. We were just talking the other day when he came out to install a new toilet in our basement and he noticed another problem that might be an issue down the road and told me he don't do that kind of work anymore. He did recommend another company if need be. He has done everything from replacing pipes underground to just tightening something under the sink at my house. Mike even came out on New Years Eve of 2022. Called to check today if anything was leaking from what he just installed Monday. Then I realized I have never reviewed them. I will continue to call Mike from Absolute for all my plumbing needs and continue to recommend him. Some of the items he has done in the past..... Mike answered after hours which I thought was cool, he was really nice however his workmanship is…read morenot worth what I paid, $209 for an hour of his time. My complaints include ; 1. Instead of using elbows like the previous set up he just used straight copper so the pipes don't sit up against the wall and they are sticking out on an angle (I hope that's no issue in the future ) 2. he did not clean up after himself- he left the soldered silver pieces all over the sink. 3. He did not secure the faucet to the utility sink underneath with the screws so it was moving back and forth, 4. He unscrewed my fire alarm because the heat from soldering made it go off and he never put it back on!! 5. The left side is leaking where the faucet screws into the copper pipe. 6. He asked a "favor" that I give him 5 stars to get business with a story of how Google took down 150 reviews and he was sick last year. Now, the reason I chose him over other people is because of his reviews of " doing quality work, picking up after himself, competitive pricing " and now I feel like I got duped because I did not experience any of that , I feel like he may be a phony. Mike was nice but when I'm paying for a service I shouldn't have to pick up after you. Granted I understand maybe he wasn't small enough/ older to get under the utility sink and screw the faucet in place but he could have told me. There is no excuse for not screwing the fire alarm back in! What if I were elderly and was unable to clean up the metal pieces everywhere, screw in my faucet or screw my fire alarm back in. Of course I did not know any of this was an issue until I went to actually use the faucet - it moved forward and backward, the metal was all over and I look up and the fire alarm unplugged. This was not worth calling him back for as I could fix it and I'm not going to have him fix the leaking pipe either as I do not trust any longer.

Most of the additional fees were understandable to me as the plumber also helped resolve an issue with another toilet, but it would have been nice if some of the additional charges would have been told to me when I was making the appointment. Especially the out of area charge and the toilet removal charge, as clearly those were known when I made the appointment and would make the original quoted price obsolete.
