He later went on to state that there was a lot of work he had to do including picking up the part and filling out paperwork to get reimbursed for the motor. I'm sorry, but that's the cost of business. I was willing to accept the fact that he charged 50% higher rate for a diagnosis than my usual HVAC company because I needed help immediately, but he straight up lied about how "labor intensive" this project was. I do not recommend using this company. I wrote a review yesterday to which he defended himself by stating that he spent an hour on the phone with Carrier to order the part - that is a lie. He sat on my couch and called them from my house and my camera shows that he was here a total of one hour for diagnosis and 45 minutes for installation. I had the house built in 1988 and a the furnace the builder installed needed to be replaced 10 years later. My daughter uses them as well now. They are responsive. Their service techs are also very polite, respectful, knowledgeable and professional. I recently tried to clean my drier duct and got the cleaning brush stuck in the duct and found it difficult to find someone who would remove the duct to clear it. So I called McQuade's and the next morning they had a tech remove the duct and clear it. They also cleaned it. I also found their prices to be reasonable.

This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. My refrigerator…read morestopped working after a power outage, so I contacted this company through DTE's repair service. The technician came out, diagnosed the problem as a failed fan, and found the refrigerator packed with pounds of ice that had begun melting. Water was pouring all over my hardwood kitchen floors, creating a risk of serious damage. We had to move the refrigerator to stop the water from ruining the floor. The technician even suggested moving it to the garage or porch because of the amount of water, but I declined because I did not want to leave my appliance outside. About a week later, I received a call saying the replacement fan had been ordered but was delayed. After that, I heard absolutely nothing. Nearly two and a half weeks later, I called for an update and spoke with a different representative. Instead of helping, he immediately became hostile, accused me of fraud, claimed I had moved the refrigerator from another property into my living room, and insisted I had misrepresented the situation. I repeatedly explained that I never made those statements and had no idea what he was referring to. What made the situation even more frustrating was the complete contradiction. If there was supposedly an issue with servicing my refrigerator, why did someone previously call to tell me the part had been ordered? Why wasn't I notified immediately that service had been denied instead of being left waiting for weeks? The representative was rude, dismissive, talked over me, repeatedly called me a fraudster, and even stated that he would not perform any work "even if I gave him a million dollars." I have never been spoken to so disrespectfully by a company representative. I left the conversation feeling humiliated, ignored, and completely unsupported. Because of their lack of communication, delays, and unprofessional conduct, my family lost food, time, and money. Whether the issue was with DTE or this subcontractor, customers deserve honesty, professionalism, timely communication, and respect. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.
