I called the office of Soley in the morning and they responded and got to my house very promptly with my AC unit not working properly (which I thought was very impressive with the heat wave going on at the moment). Jon was excellent. He was clear with his explanations, friendly, quick with his work, found the problem, fixed the problem, and all within an hour. So our Income Property had a problem with the Air Conditioning. Naturally I called Soley Heating and Cooling again. Sam the Technician who took care of us last time showed up to check things out. I was bracing for a big bill as it is a very old HVAC unit. At any rate spoke to Sam and a the Fan Capacitor was bad and not allowing the condenser fan to run. He replaced it and check the system out and all is good. $163 is a bargain for a fast repair during some very hot weather. I highly recommend Soley Heating and Air Conditioning. I just got off the phone with Soley to inquire if I should have my boiler maintenanced before I start it up this season. A young woman answered the phone and very politely told me yes. When I inquired how much that would cost one of the owners grabbed the phone from her, told me I should know since I've had them service my boiler before and that "it was up to me" if I wanted it serviced or not. She was rude and insulting. So, since it is up to me, I will have it serviced, but certainly never again with Soley. read more

Had a great experience! Furnace stopped working due to a power surge caused by DTE. Spoke with some one on the phone who immediately treated us like family. A different technician, Sam, came by and was amazing he fixed our furnace and by the time he left we were showing each other baby photos. They were great and charged a reasonable rate. read more

Kim's team is highly experienced. A few years ago, Soley Heating upgraded an old gravity feed furnace with a new high efficiency furnace and central AC. You know they know the drill because we focused on the shortage of return air ductwork in the 1920's system, something the Membership warehouse sales rep completely overlooked. I've used this company a couple of times to service the steam boiler at my house. They've cleaned and serviced it competently up until this year. We were experiencing problems with the sensor for the vent to the chimney tripping which would turn off the boiler. Called Soley up and they said someone was coming the next day. No one showed up. It took repeat calls and three days for them to get someone out. When someone finally did show up they charged us for 2 hours of work doing a bunch of things we never asked them to do and then left saying we just needed to press a reset button if it happened again. Well the next day it happened again and several times after that resulting in us having to reset the boiler almost daily. Called Soley back and they said they'd get out soon but never did. A week later I called another boiler company that came highly recommended by neighbors. The new company came out, I gave them the same explanation I gave Soley, and in 5 minutes after simply taking off a metal tube the technician had figured out what was going on: debris from the inside the chimney had fallen down completely blocking the boiler vent. For an entire week our boiler exhaust was venting completely into the basement of our house! The new company said our problem was easy to find and it was one of the most dangerous situations he's ever seen another boiler company leave a homeowner with in the decades of work he's done. I called Soley the next day and they refused to admit that they did anything wrong saying it was an "honest oversight". This was an oversight that could have killed our entire family! I cannot state strongly enough that you should stay away from this company at all costs! read more

I called Soley last year after getting a recommendation from a trusted friend and I'm happy I did. Adam has been to our house to address boiler and A/C issues. He's very thorough and always takes the time to explain the problem and the solution; we're very happy with Soley's work and prices. Adam was also extremely helpful in explaining boiler maintenance basics to us as well (first-time boiler owners). I had Soley come out and give me a second quote on my air conditioning unit. Kim Soley, the owner, was actually the one who came out to my house. He took the time to explain things to me and gave me options. He was so helpful, prompt and honest! It is so hard to find a good, honest business. I was so upset my unit wasn't working and after Soley resolved my issue I was so happy and so pleased with my experience with this company. I am so thankful to this company for the wonderful customer service provided to my elderly mother. On one of the coldest days (nights) of the year her heater gave out. These folks were there to help her within hours, even though it was one of THEIR busiest days of the year. They helped her with the insurance claim and they called her several times to check on her and make sure all was well. Who even does that anymore these days?? i so rarely do online reviews, but i can't say enough good things about this family-owned company. i got them from a friend's referral -- and have recommended them to many friends and family with great success. they replaced a 50 year old noisy, clanging boiler with a beautiful new model that is SILENT (yay sleep!!) and costs us considerably less to run. they also replaced a very old high-velocity air conditioning system that manages to keep all four floors of our house cool -- and also costs SIGNIFICANTLY less to run. we just had them out for a tricky to diagnose service call -- and when the problem didn't immediately show itself, the owner himself stuck around and drained our hot water heater for us while he watched and waited for the problem to finally be replicated. all fixed. all the workers are considerate and knowledgeable. highly recommend them!! read more
