I plugged my phone in and sat it on the table and got comfortable for a longer wait, but moments later, true to the 1.5 hour estimate, they said my truck was ready. I had read reviews saying they try to upsell unnecessary services, so since I had just changed my air filter the week before, I was ready to push back if they tried to sell me a new one. To their credit, the tech checked it and told me it didn't need replacing, which was a nice surprise. The oil change itself was quick, hassle-free, and I only waited about 10 minutes before getting into the bay. The second visit also seemed fine at first. The oil change was fast, there was no major upsell pressure, and I left without any obvious issues. But about two days later, I noticed my heat shield was dragging on the ground while I was driving, which was not great. That stood out because I've never had a problem with the heat shield before. On my car, the heat shield has to be loosened or removed to access the oil drain area. I can't say for certain that Take 5 forgot to reinstall it or put it back incorrectly, because I can't prove that. But when a part that had never given me trouble suddenly comes loose right after an oil change where it had to be handled, that connection is pretty hard to ignore. You obviously can't have a dragging piece of metal potentially rip off while driving and damage another car or hurt someone, so I needed to have this fixed immediately. This was a pretty massive inconvenience, as I had to drop what I was doing (going to work) to swing by the dealership to have them fix the issue. Overall, I probably won't be back and will stick to going to the dealership for oil changes moving forward, strictly for peace of mind, knowing that the dealership exclusively handles my make. However, on a positive note, I will say that the convenience of not having to get out of your car and getting in and out with brand new oil in under an hour is hard to beat.

I had to call at 1pm to get an update and then my car wasn't ready til 4pm and I had to find my own ride. They did an overall car inspection while they had my car and included a few notes for me. They were nice and did a good job explaining the work. It cost me $550 for the AC recharge and repair which was more money than I was hoping it would cost.
