    I just wanted to make sure I say a few things about this establishment. The staff is very helpful and most importantly kind which is hard to find these days. I needed to do a last minute rental for an event for my boys and they were the only ones who seemed to have reasonable pricing for a spur of the moment order. Unfortunately after my event I had an accident that left me unable to walk for weeks. The staff was super accommodating and didn't pressure me about the rental return. When I finally was up and moving again I went by to return everything they went one step further and waived my late charges which was much appreciated. I will most definitely use them again!

    Worst Experience Ever!…read more I took my daughter to Lucy's Formal for a graduation dress. Not only was the dress overpriced but the experience alone just not worth time or hassle. The dress needed alterations and that's where the nightmare began the owner Elizabeth/Lucy who sold us the dress informed me our dress would be ready the following week. Her in store seamstress pretended to show she understood our request & went to pin the dress according to the adjustment we were requesting. We paid for the dress and were told it would be ready the following week. with only alteration payment being outstanding. When we went back the following Wednesday, the dress had been altered, but nowhere near to what we had requested. We asked for knee length and it was longer than knee length she had messed up the right side cup and sleeve, to my amazement she thought we wouldn't notice and expected us to leave with the dress damaged & with a dress that looked completely opposite of what we had asked for. When the customer service girl came to help not only was she arrogant with a really crappy attitude, but no customer service experience whatsoever instead of listening to me about my concerns she was more Worried about whether or not I had paid for the dress even though she had the receipt in hand that said PAID!!! After seeing it was paid for and me telling her 3 times I had paid! She then allowed me to explain that the alterations were not at all what I had requested, she informed me the Seamstress was not available that day to take new measurements but she would take measurements her self and leave notes behind for the seamstress. I was skeptical but at this point I needed the dress to be completed so she proceeded to take notes and was writing everything down thoroughly. We once again left not as confident, & concerned that the dress would not be done in time for my daughter's event. She told us to come back in 1 week. The following week came & days before the dress should have been completed I get another call this time from Itzel informing me that she did not know why my dress was still there, and they had lost all the notes of the alterations that needed to be made. She also shared there was no seamstress in sight so it would take another week for dress to be completed we're now going on 2 weeks. She asked me to come in on a Sunday evening, where she normally doesn't work, but according to her she would be there and could take the time to go over the measurements for the third time to make sure that the Seamstress got the proper notes and would this time make the correct alterations. I showed up Itzel nor the Seamstress were there. And a third arrogant customer service rep assisted or pretended to help me. I kindly asked if she could call Itzel because I had been standing there for 15 minutes & she stated well if she told you she was going to be here she'll be here. 30 minutes later & still no one showed up. Luckily a kind lady by the name of Soila ended up walking up to assist and really if it wasn't for her, the dress would have never been completed. The alterations would not have been made according to my standards and this would have been a complete disaster finally after 3 weeks the dress was completed and I had to go to the seamstress house to pick up the dress because I could no longer trust the incompetence of the store and owner . if I'm rating this place one star it's because it's the worse I can rate If it was up to me Lucy's formal would get zero stars for their horrible customer service, horrible employees! The owner takes absolutely no accountability or responsibility for the actions of her employee total disgrace. I would recommend nobody shop here and save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else because there are plenty of places like this that don't treat their customers the way these people do.

One trying on tailored pants and saw his satisfaction with his body language and words of appreciation to the Tailor. The other customer came in to pick up a jacket that was completed, tried it on, and shared his gratitude with the work and was surprised that the Tailor had also worked on an inside pocket! I figured I would see if I could have it altered, I called around a few places and a lot of them were either too busy or taking appointments for the following week. I only had a few days before I left town for the wedding. Cruz Tailors said they would see and could do a rush order for an added fee. I came in paid and picked up in two days. I loved the way it came out and the fit was so much better. I felt more comfortable enjoying myself without being nervous my dress would fall. Would come back and they really seem to know what they are doing. I can't say for sure price point wise if it's lower or higher but I believe it was very reasonable for what I needed as well as the speed. It's easy to find in the heart of the downtown area just a little away from the Main Streets. Street parking but there is a lot close by if you need to use it. Very convenient and right off the freeway. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I will say for bigger jobs you want to give them time and yourself. My alterations were fairly simple and minimal just as an FYI. Would come back again and I have a few items I need altered in my closet.

TLDR: Dress has sloppy and downright lazy alterations (see photos attached for their work so you can judge for yourself) The owner Shaker is condescending, rude and doesn't know how to run a business. I was initially quoted $75 for a hem but was told it would be $60 if I left a review. I come back the next day because of the price, location, the good reviews, and his confidence that he could do a good job. (Yes I do my research on the area before giving my business) I gave his associate the dress and let them know I needed the dress by October 27th which is a few weeks before the wedding. I told him I wanted the dress on that date just in case I needed more work done. I was assured that "this is an easy alteration and it would only need a day to work on it." His words not mine. I come back on the 27th and I'm noticing that the stitching on the bottom is completely wonky, lopsided, and some parts aren't even stitched correctly. (see attached photos and make your own conclusions. The work speaks for itself) I wish I had said something but I was trying to be ok with it. I show my friends the alteration and everyone has the same WTF expression at how bad the dress was. When I called, Shaker blamed a new employee and told me to bring it back. (Ok sure but this is YOUR business, YOU need to do quality control.) At the shop, he dismissed my concerns and acted annoyed when I said the entire hem needed redoing. I show him photos while he's looking at the dress and I tell him " I don't even know what's wrong with this (pointing at the stitching)" and he condescendingly tells me "yeah that's a stitch". Yes I know it's a stitch but why is it all zig zag and uneven? He tells me that this "is an easy fix" (his words again not mine) and they will fix the spots he sees. The whole bottom of the dress is messed up and he's trying to take the easy/lazy path out AGAIN. I tell him no the whole thing needs to be worked on and he grudgingly agrees and says ok but it's going to take some time. Once I get home I realize he said SHE will work on it. I call him and tell him I don't feel comfortable with the new employee working on my dress again if that's her idea of good work. I'd rather get a refund and get my dress back and go somewhere else. This is when he starts to raise his voice. The gist of our conversation: 1. Shaker: I'm working on this dress twice without charging you again and you already want a refund? (I just dropped off the dress again a few minutes ago so no work had been done yet. Also he's only working on my dress twice because HE messed up NOT because of something else needing alteration) 2. Shaker: You were the one who haggled for the price. (I didn't do any haggling. If me trying to leave the store after politely declining and him lowering the price as I'm leaving is haggling, then sure.) 3. Shaker: You should have looked at the dress before leaving. (Blaming ME for HIM not doing his job. I did look at the dress and tell him how bad the alteration was... but that's also YOUR job. It's YOUR business) I let them "fix" it anyway just to move on. I pick up the dress today (10/29) and it's... better. The stitching is more even but it's jaggedy and I'm noticing parts where the stitch doesn't even go through where it's supposed to go. I'm also now noticing new stains on the dress. (This dress is brand new with the tags on and has sat in it garment bag since it was received in the mail) Overall: The workmanship was poor, the customer service was unprofessional, and quality control seems nonexistent. I would not recommend this business.
