Worst Experience Ever! I took my daughter to Lucy's Formal for a graduation dress. Not only was the dress overpriced but the experience alone just not worth time or hassle. The dress needed alterations and that's where the nightmare began the owner Elizabeth/Lucy who sold us the dress informed me our dress would be ready the following week. Her in store seamstress pretended to show she understood our request & went to pin the dress according to the adjustment we were requesting. We paid for the dress and were told it would be ready the following week. with only alteration payment being outstanding. When we went back the following Wednesday, the dress had been altered, but nowhere near to what we had requested. We asked for knee length and it was longer than knee length she had messed up the right side cup and sleeve, to my amazement she thought we wouldn't notice and expected us to leave with the dress damaged & with a dress that looked completely opposite of what we had asked for. When the customer service girl came to help not only was she arrogant with a really crappy attitude, but no customer service experience whatsoever instead of listening to me about my concerns she was more Worried about whether or not I had paid for the dress even though she had the receipt in hand that said PAID!!! After seeing it was paid for and me telling her 3 times I had paid! She then allowed me to explain that the alterations were not at all what I had requested, she informed me the Seamstress was not available that day to take new measurements but she would take measurements her self and leave notes behind for the seamstress. I was skeptical but at this point I needed the dress to be completed so she proceeded to take notes and was writing everything down thoroughly. We once again left not as confident, & concerned that the dress would not be done in time for my daughter's event. She told us to come back in 1 week. The following week came & days before the dress should have been completed I get another call this time from Itzel informing me that she did not know why my dress was still there, and they had lost all the notes of the alterations that needed to be made. She also shared there was no seamstress in sight so it would take another week for dress to be completed we're now going on 2 weeks. She asked me to come in on a Sunday evening, where she normally doesn't work, but according to her she would be there and could take the time to go over the measurements for the third time to make sure that the Seamstress got the proper notes and would this time make the correct alterations. I showed up Itzel nor the Seamstress were there. And a third arrogant customer service rep assisted or pretended to help me. I kindly asked if she could call Itzel because I had been standing there for 15 minutes & she stated well if she told you she was going to be here she'll be here. 30 minutes later & still no one showed up. Luckily a kind lady by the name of Soila ended up walking up to assist and really if it wasn't for her, the dress would have never been completed. The alterations would not have been made according to my standards and this would have been a complete disaster finally after 3 weeks the dress was completed and I had to go to the seamstress house to pick up the dress because I could no longer trust the incompetence of the store and owner . if I'm rating this place one star it's because it's the worse I can rate If it was up to me Lucy's formal would get zero stars for their horrible customer service, horrible employees! The owner takes absolutely no accountability or responsibility for the actions of her employee total disgrace. I would recommend nobody shop here and save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else because there are plenty of places like this that don't treat their customers the way these people do. read more

Horrible experience , would not recommend If I could give zero stars . I would give ZERO STARS! We came in with good spirit and questions about accessories. But from the start , I was extremely disappointed with the service. The so call "manager" was insistent on pushing something we didn't want, making the experience uncomfortable. She also acted as if she was busy, even though there were no other customers around. Overall, it felt dismissive and unhelpful. Definitely not the kind of service I expected. Isabel is one of the worst people in customer service I've ever encountered, and apparently, from what she's told us, she's the manager? If all of your other sales girls are kinder and more respectful than you at your job, maybe it's time you step down from your position. She dismissed our concerns for a dress we were going to order and was very rude and argumentative when we told her it's not the same dress we agreed upon. Not only that, when we first arrived at the store, she acted like we weren't worth HER time. The other sales girls were much better at their job and more attentive. During fitting when we needed help with the back because they had changed it, she said she had to watch the store for customers, but we were literally the only ones in the store at the time. And when we had the alterations, not everything we asked for was completed, and it was passed off as if it was what we wanted. It's an additional $45 for alteration, but you can't even get it done the multiple times we asked about it? It's all around a very unpleasant experience. Judging from all the other reviews about Isabel, I would suggest you make another one of your sales girls the manager instead. At least they know how to be respectful. Currently awaiting our refund for both the price of the dress and alterations. It doesn't make sense for the business to keep both our money AND the dress. read more

The young lady with the long curly black hair was extremely helpful and truly went above and beyond to make sure I left with a dress I loved. She spent a lot of time searching for similar dresses and styles when one I liked didn't come in the color I wanted. She was patient, attentive, and clearly cared about helping me find the right option. She also spoke on the phone with who I assume was the manager, who was equally helpful in making sure we were shown all of our options. Loved that I was able to find my wedding dress here. They helped me with the alterations and when I came to my second fitting my mom and sister fell in love with it. It hugs my body perfectly. Also the cost was way better than other places I've been. Definitely recommend coming here. read more

Terrible customer service and process, owner/ manager was condescending and rude and overall misunderstood us at every step. Did not have inclusive sizing and was very overpriced and pushy on making us buy today. She was very upset when we mentioned we were not sold on buying a dress today and needed to shop around different stores first. Overall so rude and unprofessional she accused us of wanting to use their cheap website vendor instead of them when all we were doing was assessing our options since theirs obviously are not that great. I've never walked out on anyone like I did here. If I can give this place a zero I would. I've purchased a suit from here before, a couple years ago and it was great quality and the man helping us was very nice and helpful. Fast forward, my most recent experience was baffling. I walked in and the employee seemed perturbed that she had to hang up the phone to help me. She was not very friendly and definitely lacked any type of professionalism or customer service skills. She asked if I was serious about buying or if I needed to ask my husband first before making a purchase. She said she had customers earlier that didn't make a purchase because "they need to ask their husband first". Very condescending and belittling. She then showed me a piece of clothing that I was Interested in, and I wanted my child to try it on before buying. She asked if I was going to buy it, to which I replied that if looks good I would buy it. She asked again if I was serious about buying it because I mentioned maybe not liking the fabric, to which I answered again, well I want to see it on before I decide. This happened AGAIN and AGAIN. I had to walk out because she refused to let us try on the clothing!!!! Very disappointed in this place. Terrible customer service and extremely overpriced I went in for a bridesmaid dress today the woman there commented condescendingly on my body and chest size. I kept asking for specific dresses and she would bring something completely different "suited to my size" she let me try on 2 dresses and when I asked to try on another one she said I needed to have the bride there with me before she continued to work with me (in a very snotty tone). If I'm going to spend almost $200 I should be allowed to try on anything I want. The dress is my choice all I needed the bride for was to confirm the color. It was my first time entering this store for my daughter's prom dress. The first thing I noticed was the wide variety of selection. The store includes many different styles, sizes, and even accessories like ties, bows, etc. The dresses also range in formality. The customer service here is excellent as well. It was immediately made apparent that alterations for the dresses are available, since the store doesn't necessarily make them. Any questions were answered honestly to the best of their ability whether it was about price, material, or schedule. It's always best to schedule an appointment, especially if you're doing last minute shopping like me. However, this wasn't an appointment and still managed to be of great service. On top of all that, recommendations came naturally and options were offered to fit my daughter's interests when she tried on a dress. Lucy, the owner, was super kind and helpful in conversation and information- not to mention that the dress will arrive on-time even if the alterations are last minute. Despite it being the busy month for prom dress shopping, she can still work with that time. In addition, she did ask about things like comfortability with the dresses just in case. I 100% recommend this store for any dress shoppers that have a formal event. read more

I came in today regardless of the reviews, I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. I was attended by this Latino woman ( I didn't ask her name and she didn't introduce herself). Liked a dress here, tried it on and it was great. Until I deeply looked into the dress and seen stains and a section where the fabric was pulled, I asked if there was any discount on the dress. No reply was given, she was pushy into me getting the dress and I was until she said alternating the dress would be 60$. She only wanted to talk directly to me because it was ultimately up to me as a bride-to-be. Went in looking for flower girl dresses and Isabel was extremely rude. We were looking at dresses and first thing she asked was if we were going to buy or just looking. I said hoping to to buy and she rolled her eyes. I told her what size and color we were looking for and she got us a few different dresses. At the end I told her we needed to ask the other flower girl what she liked so we could decide, she then told me I needed to decide on which dress and buy. "I don't want to be rude but that's why I asked if you were buying before I gave you dresses" as she rolled her eyes. She lacks customer service skills 100%. We asked for a time frame of when the dresses would come in if we ordered them and she said she could only give us that information if we paid in full for them. They have beautiful dresses but i rather drive 6hrs away before giving her my business. read more
