We ordered a dress from Kiss Prom 7 weeks before the event, they said it would arrive in 3-4 weeks. After 5 weeks I begged for a shipping update. Long story, but they finally admitted it would not be there in time for Prom. So, in a panic, a week later, we ended up at American Bridal with only 2 weeks to get a dress. I was looking for a hoop skirt to go with my Halloween costume.. a Medieval dress with a lot of fullness. The dress didn't come with a skirt, so it was about 6 inches too long just by itself. I looked at every Halloween store, big stores and finally thought of trying bridle shops. The ones in my immediate area didn't have anything but small sizes (I'm not a small). Tried online and found some good ones, but they either had a 3 week delivery time or were very small. Tried several different ways to make my own (I know how to sew), but none were working well. Looking online again, I expanded my search a bit and found this shop with good reviews. Since I was going to be in the area anyway, I decided to give it try before going to "Plan F or G" in my solutions! That would have been taking up the sides a few inches in 4-6 spots with some decorative ribbon. Thankfully, Karla had no trouble finding one that will work perfectly! I had my dress with me just in case and so we tried the two together.... PERFECTION! And Very reasonably priced as well. We came here for my daughters sweet 16 gown and loved the product and service received. Fast forward 4 years later and we came back for my daughters wedding dress. I'm actually sad we wasted time looking at other places such as David's Bridal. Karla is the sweetest and most attentive woman! She's a one woman show and handles everyone efficiently and attentively. Very impressive considering how busy they can get. She actually remembered us and our dress from the sweet 16 without us even telling her! Now that's impressive! We didn't give her much time to work with since the wedding was three weeks out (original plans fell through) and she not only picked up the dress next day, but got us in for measurements/alteration as well! Chose the dress on Monday, was in store with the dress and prepping for alterations on Tuesday. Alteration time will only take one week! This is on top of prom season where at least 4 local schools have prom the same day as the wedding. VERY IMPRESSIVE!!! It's no wonder they have been in business for so long. I have had three dresses for my daughters purchased here. I was hesitant about using a small store but I was extremely happy with everything at this store. First off it was for a religious occasion and she already knew what the school allowed. She helped with picking a dress for each of my girls that complimented them not what was necessarily more expensive. One dress had to have some straps added to it and the alterations were perfect. All three girls have different body types and she made each one look beautiful. She was very kind to both of us. Quite a few of the moms from the school have purchased dresses here and are repeat customers. Let me start by saying, this store has a vast and beautiful selection of dresses in their store that are gorgeous. With that said, I came into the store with a very specific dress type that I wanted and it prompted me to ask if they did custom dresses. Luckily I came in early enough to get it done and wow did America's Bridal come through for me! The dress is so absolutely close to what I had asked for. I had a wonderful prom night feeling like a princess and received a ton of compliments. Rosa, the dress maker, did a WONDERFUL job! Very happy with my daughters Quinceañera dress I ordered it in March 2019, we got it on time for her preshoot photos in July 2019, we were able to make payments. I began my journey with going to downtown LA for a quince dress- but it was a mad house, with parking, not to mention the traffic. THEY RUINED MY FIANCÉ'S WEDDING DRESS!! Too bad yelp doesn't do 0 stars. She dropped off the dress to get steamed. She tried it on before she took it and everything was fine, just wrinkled. After she picked it up 2 days later she noticed it was stained in the front and back. It looked like it was dragged across dirty rusty water pipes. She called them to tell them what happened and if they can fix it. all they could tell her was that the dress came like that. She asked why they wouldn't let her know it was like that if it was already stained. They just kept saying "it was like that". No apologies, no interest in fixing it, no sympathy...nothing! Terrible thing to deal with the night before your wedding. Terrible customer service. Avoid the trouble and go anywhere else. Very disappointed in the whole experience. read more

I have never posted on yelp until today. Let me WARN you how stay away Drive 20 miles anywhere else but here!! I've brought things in past at their old location and was not gone properly so after a year we decided to give them a second chance. BIG Mistake!! They LIE to your face! Brought in my daughters beautiful red Sherri Hill gown to have length taken up, they said $65 for 2 inches, Taken in toile and dress. Well not only did Rosa not complete the alteration on my daughters gown she left pins all over toole and my daughter stuck her finger and I thankfully have a tailor 20 miles away that made space for our dress, when she saw the sloppy work and pin falling from dress, she looked and pins all over toole , was never sewn up! She said whoever you paid $65. Did not take dress up just left pins all over it. I went back to shop with my daughter and her friend and the response was met with stern face. Ceaser ignored us and let her Lie, Just deny Deny, Deny! My daughter told her how tacky of a job when it was returned to us and the woman said "I can't do anything, because Rosa is in Peru and she did dress. Rosa will be back on Friday," she said with contempt, I said you need to make this right what can you do give partial refund of entire $65 since now I'm driving further and paying another tailor to fix your mess? She said nope, I said I was going to report store and yelp review to make others aware so they don't get taken advantage like we did. She didn't care she said "Go ahead" so here we are also have a magenta jumpsuit they stained it with ink so I took it cleaners and also took that to different tailor. Worst Tuxedo Rental place ever. We chose, and payed for "the most expensive tuxedo style they have in the store." it was the best looking one. About $100 + $20 deposit + Tax. When we came back to pick them up, they gave us a style which no one recognized. Not the one we had chosen. I asked the lady about it, and she immediately began to treat me as if I were a 13 year old! I'm 19, and I take these kinds of things very seriously. Not getting what I payed for is the worst that can happen to me. She ended up denying ever having had the style of tuxes we payed for. The reason we weren't treated respectfully, I believe, is because we went there without parents. That is no excuse to treat someone the way we were treated. There is NO excuse to treat someone like that. Also gave is all the wrong sizes and different style shoes. She assured us that the style of shoes changes with the size! Ridiculous! I purchased my first dress from this store a year and a half ago. I saw a dress in the store I liked but it wasn't my size so they ordered it for me. I had to leave a deposit for half of the price of the dress which was fine because I knew I liked it and wanted that dress so I didn't ask too much on that policy. It arrived they altered it for me and all was well. I went back recently since I need to purchase 2 dresses. I arrive at store and start browsing when an older lady (an employee) approaches me and I tell her more or less what I am looking for and she tells me that they don't have that in store but I can look through the catalog, so I was like ok and I proceed to explain that I came in once before but I wasn't too familiar with their policies regarding their catalog purchases she then told me that I already bought a dress here so I should know.. umm excuse me? I'm literally asking you because I don't know! So she then tells me that if I want a dress from the catalog I need to leave half the dress total, I was like ok I'm familiar with that but since I was able to try on my previous purchase before ordering it what would happen if I ordered a dress and did not like it once it arrived, like for example if the material was different or it didn't look nice on my body shape (I know a dress can look very different in person compared to a model wearing it in a catalog) so I asked if it didn't work out was it possible to use my initial deposit towards a different dress or something? And then with a really bad attitude she told me, no that if I'm picky about the dress I'm wearing I shouldn't purchase a dress from there and go elsewhere. Seriously lady? I'm going to spend a few hundred dollars on each dress I'm sorry I want them to fit me right. very poor service!!! do not buy/rent or think about this retailer. I bought my daughter her long gown dress from this store 2years ago. They dont have her size of the particular dress that she like but they made us try on the one that they have in display so they can figure out the right size for her. Afer trying it on, they said that she is just a size smaller and will order her size and will be able to pick it out in a week. They also measure the lenght so they can do the aterations(free of charge). I went and pick up the dress which happen to b the verry same day of the event. When she put it on, it was not a new one. It was the same dress that we tried on and the lenght was not alterred either, so we were forced to buy her a high heeled shoes and thankfully the dress has ties in the back to tightened up thee dress so it fits her a little better. what a horrible experience. I thought of going back there to yell at them but they are not worth my time and pain. I am looking for my daughter's debut dress again today and their store came up on my search again..grrrr! This place is great. I did not buy my wedding dress here but had it altered (blush dupioni silk) it came out beautifully. When I had to order bridesmaids dress I came back, unfortunately I was told the wrong color by the bride, but Karla did everything she could to help me out in such a short amount of time. The color variation was very slight (obviously still noticeable to the bride) Karla suggested that the maid of honor and I switch dresses. We had different sizes so we had to get them altered. There was a corset back that was added to the back of my dress so that it could fit. Again all the alterations came out beautifully. I would highly recommend the shop I have great customer service and a great selection inside the store. read more

I had an emergency alteration on my daughters wedding dress and Karla took care of it within 2 days and looked flawless.

We always see this store and decided to go here so my daughter can see and try on dresses for her 15 so we can see. what type of dress would be best for her! Their Yelp says no appointment necessary we went there and the manager said she can only try one on! Ok fine, then another family of ten come and then she tells me oh no she needs to come back cause we're busy and they had an appointment, and she said oh here are some book for you to see if you want I mean wtf!! If I were running this business I would make time for all the customers. All I have to say is their service sucks don't expect to get greeted by friendly staff oh and if you want to get good service I guess you have to take your whole family of 10 if it's just you and one person then good luck. I've used this place several times for both my sons high school dances throughout the years. My sister used for her bridal party and i have always had excellent service. The staff is friendly and their prices are very reasonable. Just last week i called 2 days before prom, no questions asked they had a tux for my son for WELL under $100. He even wasn't sure about what color tie so they let him take both. I highly recommend this place. They go above and beyond w out hesitation. read more

The reason for the "ONE" star is because there's no option for a "ZERO" star. This place has poor customer service, and my guess it is because of the owner and her lousy management skills! The tuxedos were of low grade, paper thin, and some had patches that stood out like a soar thumb in mid daylight. Because, the tuxedo I rented didn't get returned right away due to an unforeseen circumstance, I was called five times within an hour by different ladies. I apologized to the last lady for not returning the tuxedo on time and she kept using the actionable statement: "if you don't return the tuxedo "today" you wont get the deposit money back." I told her I was sorry and understood if I didn't get the deposit back and I was only concerned with getting the tuxedo back to her. I felt really bad when the lady said her boss would take the deposit money from her paycheck if I didn't return it right away. Unethical employer to boot! I advised her that an employer can only take from her check if something was taken by her and a tuxedo that the business rented to a client didn't sound like something the law allows employers to take out of an employees paycheck. What a lousy place of business with a lousy unethical boss who takes from their employers for no valid reason. Next time choose Friar Tux after all, convenience is key! read more
