EXTREMELY rude, nasty and unprofessional. I would absolutely NOT recommend Arel Bridal Couture based on my experience. NEVER. i still can't believe the customer service of this place. My first appointment was canceled by the day before, and the interaction was already somewhat rude. I still decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled for the following weekend. Not a big deal. made another appointment. Before coming in, I specifically asked how long I should expect my appointment to be and was told approximately 1.5 hours and to allow up to 2 hours. I arrived early for my 1:30 appointment and explained that this was my FIRST time wedding dress shopping. I wanted to get an idea of what I liked before bringing my family back for the full experience. From the beginning, I was repeatedly asked who would be purchasing my dress, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. Additionally, most of the dresses I actually liked were ones I found myself. Not ones she took time to pull. After only about 40 minutes, I asked to try ONE additional dress similar to ONE she pulled but without the lace detailing and adding a skirt. I was told they had exactly what I was asking for, but she refused to let me try it on and told me I would need to book another appointment because "thats how she rolls" her words, not mine. When my friend pointed out that we had only been there 40 minutes despite being told the appointment was 1.5-2 hours, the owner became extremely rude and argumentative toward both me and my friends. She then claimed this policy was on the website and that I had been told about it when booking. I absolutely was NOT told this. The most disappointing part is that I genuinely loved one of the dresses I tried on and would have brought my family back to see it and potentially purchase it. After the way we were spoken to and treated, however, I will never return. Wedding dress shopping should be an exciting experience, especially for a first-time bride. Instead, I left feeling unwelcome, uncomfortable, and completely turned off by the lack of professionalism. read more

Rather than taking the time to answer my questions, I was quickly turned away and directed to their Instagram page. What made the interaction feel even more unwelcoming was that the door was locked behind me as I left. While there may have been a reason for this, it added to the impression that I was being rushed out rather than treated as a potential customer. Fortunately, I made an appointment at another bridal shop afterward and ended up finding my dream dress, so everything worked out in the end. RUDE & NASTY! Don't waste your time. If I could leave 0 stars I would..Horrible service and incredibly rude and unprofessional consultant to the bride and party. Met immediately with hostile attitude. The bride was made to feel unwelcome and degraded! Was only allowed to try 3 dresses no exceptions and didn't even get to choose them. The dresses she brought were cheap looking and even dirty. She had no patience and was very dismissive of any questions or requests made. At one point during the fittings she said "I'm not even going to bother with accessories". No veiling no effort into kindness AT ALL. I believe this consultant was even the owner...so we were VERY surprised. Side note: We went to a DAVIDS BRIDAL same day to restart the day, had a wonderful experience there. You'd think that the experience would be better at a "couture" bridal store. Oh! & we ran into another bride who had a similar experience at Arlet "bridal couture". It was a COMPLETE waste of time and energy. UPDATE: she replied (read below) ARLETTE- the type of appointment she booked was beside the point. If could leave a zero stars I would. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other brides should know about my experience. Wedding dress shopping is supposed to be one of the most exciting moments of wedding planning, but the owner, Arlette, completely ruined that experience for me and my family. Throughout the appointment, Arlette repeatedly insisted that I didn't understand what my booking was, even after I explained that I did. Instead of listening, she spoke to me in a condescending way that made me feel as though I was incapable of understanding something very simple. It was embarrassing and disrespectful. Her attitude toward both me and my family was rude, dismissive, and unwelcoming. Rather than making us feel excited and supported, she made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. No bride should leave a bridal appointment feeling talked down to. A wedding dress appointment is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I left feeling disappointed instead of happy. There are so many bridal boutiques that treat brides with kindness, patience, and respect. Unfortunately, this was not one of them. I cannot recommend this boutique based on how we were treated, and I hope Arlette reflects on how her behavior affects brides during such an important milestone in their lives. read more

Left in complete shock and disappointment. Myself and another friend accompanied our Bride on her first dress shopping experience. We were super excited and impressed with Arlet when we initially walked in. The shop is very clean and dresses very well kept... this felt promising for a nice experience. My friend was very upfront with Arlet... letting her know this was her first experience trying dresses on, she was unsure what style she would like... we were starting from square one... "do we like lace or not does she like fitted or ball gown".. these were all questions we were hoping to figure out that day. So we had hopes for her to try on a good handful of styles. We walked around and picked out three dresses we for sure wanted her to try... and also explained a specific style she really liked. During this time before dresses have been tried, Arlet is very persistent with her questions... I understand her wanting to know the budget.. but asking things like.. "who is paying for the dress, what does your fiancé do for work, how big is the wedding" she even got mad when my friend said she wasn't sure yet how much wiggle room was in the budget... she then said "well let me see the ring" This all felt invasive and only money directed rather than trying to get to know my friend and her love story as you would hope a wedding professional would do. As the consultation continued the questions persisted... at one point Arlet said "oh you don't know, fine I'll stop asking and just wait for you to talk" it was just very gross behavior. After 5 dresses we asked a second time to try on a specific style.. she then said yes I have that but we will have to try that next time at your next appt.. NEXT APPT?? She said yes... we will only do 5 dresses.. 45 min appt. She said that's my policy and that's how I roll ...WHAT?? This was a surprise to us as she had told my friend to expect 1.5-2 hours for her appt. She paid $50 for 5 dress try ons?? This "policy" is no where on her site. It was clear to us that we were not taken seriously because my friend was in her early shopping and unsure phase.... As we were leaving I respectfully told Arlet "it feels very much like you are pushing us out of here and cutting us short because you know she is not buying today and thats unfortunate". she interrupted me and told me she had three brides already today and no one was rude like me.. she pushed us out of there so quickly I wasn't even sure if we had all of our items.... And she literally closed the door behind us... it felt so gross!! She treated us like trash honestly. The worst part is our girl LOVED one of the dresses... it was jaw on the floor amazing but there's no way we are going back there. No biggie though we already found the dress... a Maggie Sotero and multiple shops where we can try it again with her mom present and possibly purchase. read more

The bad reviews at this place are what I experienced. This place wants you to stick to one style and pick it automatically. They just want to make a sale. I, of course, am a new bride, and I am still seeing what looks good on my body. After I asked to try on different dresses, the owner said "that size won't fit you," or "that's a ball gown. you won't like it." What's the point of having appointments if you can't discover new things? I told her I had never tried that style, but she insisted on only having me try on gowns that SHE selected. $50 is really steep for a place that only lets you try on dresses FOR AN HOUR. I could have pictured myself walking down the aisle with one dress in particular, but I chose to take my business elsewhere. "We have another bride coming ," is what she told me when I asked to try something else on. No one ever came through the door. I had 10 mins left, but it's fine. I'm excited to learn from mistakes and not trust fake Yelp reviews, and yes, I expect her to reply to this saying that I was somehow the problem. read more

If I could give them 100 stars I would! I paid the 250$ private appointment fee and it was totally worth it! I came in feeling welcomed, my stylist, Alex, had everything setup for me. Decorated mirrors, beautiful lighting, and a unique and beautiful dress selection picked out per my preference. She also had me try different styles from what I was wanting to make sure that the style was perfect for me. I was excited to go the store to shop for my wedding dress but when I approach the door the lady rush the door and locked it so when I went to open the door she stood in the doorway not allowing me to enter stating that wedding dress shopping was by appointment only which I found odd, because on their website it states appointments are available not that they are required. I was not pleased with the lady's approach with me do I called the store asking if they were open and if an appointment was needed the person on the phone said no I was able to walk in without an appointment. I felt I was being judged by my skin color as if I didn't have the money to be in that store, this is shameful for any business owner. read more

WE DIDNT BUY A DRESS FROM THIS STORE EITHER. I don't recommend shopping for a bridal dress here. There were two women working there and they didn't let us walk around and pick out any dresses. They went and pulled dresses that they wanted my daughter to try on only. I just want to put it out there for the brides who want stress free environment when it comes to wedding dress shopping, this is NOT the place you want to be in. They'll sell you their saying " no need to stress, will find your dream wedding dress stress free" RIGHT! especially if you have Jordan as your person helping you then you're stress level will definitely be high up there and definitely wont bring you what you're looking for. This was by far the most uncomfortable and the worst dress shopping experience I've had to date. I went to few shops and I found this while going to another store in the area and unfortunately I did. First you get there and tell them what you're looking for. but even before that, I showed Arlet what I want and she's like were gonna find your dream dress. Def if I have a person like Jordan being rude and disrespectful and yelling at you from across the room. Oh keep in mind YOU CANT TOUCH A DRESS. AND IF YOU WALK AROUND WITH YOUR DRESS YOU'LL GET YELLED IT. It's like she owns the place. ITS LIKE YOU'RE WALKING ON EGGSHELLS IN THIS PLACE. Thanks Jordan for this Sh*** experience. They dont share designer name with you, so they'll take out the tag so you dont know who it is and prob go buy it elsewhere because anywhere is better than here. Every other store I went to they'll give you the info of the dress and designer, but here they hold those info from you. I agree with other people that you just keep waiting in the room without a robe or whatsoever until they finish talking sh** about you outside and they'll come bring you a dress that its not even what you want. "as another reviewer mentioned, they leave you standing in the dressing room w/ no clothes for long periods and don't offer robes" By the way if you touch the dresses, You're screwed!! So at the end, it was 5 o'clock and I saw one on the mannequin, I was like that's beautiful. She's like its 5 o'clock and this was out of your budget so I didn't show you and we're closed, meaning leave.All other places would mention it and ask if I want to see something that I may like but its outside the budge you put. The best part which some other reviewer mentioned "Older lady tells me WELL WHAT IS IT YOU DON'T LIKE?? Hmm maybe EVERYTHING" that's how I felt. I show you one thing and you put me on one thing that is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. My friend was there and I would just look at her and I can see what she's thinking and how horrible they are.. EDIT: I absolutely would NOT purchase a wedding dress here. We went in understanding appointments to try on dresses must be booked in advance. We were not greeted upon entry, only stared at until we asked if we may browse. We were able to browse granted that we did not unzip any dress bags. Cute small place, we just felt very unwelcomed. This made me feel like not booking an appointment to try anything on. I feel that a bride-to-be should be made to feel excited for the experience, and not nervous about checking out dresses for the first time.
