I am beyond disappointed with the predatory sales tactics used at this boutique. I am getting married outdoors this July and explicitly told my stylist, Justine, that comfort was my priority. While I liked one dress, I told her I had four more arriving in the mail and wasn't ready to commit. Justine then pressured me into a "buy now, return later" scheme, claiming it was the only one in stock and brand new. I asked point-blank if I would receive a full refund, and she explicitly said yes. When I returned to the store, management hit me with a $50 restocking fee they never disclosed. This is a "trap" sales model designed to lock in commissions through dishonesty. Between the poor selection and the pushy, deceptive communication, this shop is not worth the stress. My friend is getting married soon so a few of us went to David's Bridal to try on wedding dresses. We had no appointment but on a Monday afternoon we were the ONLY customers there. We were greeted and the ladies in the front were very nice asking to get our future bride into a fitting room. While the bride and a friend was talking to the ladies in the front me and another friend went to go look in the clearance section at some dresses because we had a good general idea of size and look on what she wanted. As we're browsing we get yelled at by an older woman working there to go sit down in front of the fitting rooms and we had to stop looking at those dresses. Taken by surprise my friend and I followed her back to the fitting rooms and sat down. She sized the bride and then we saw her go right back to the section we were just at and pulled a few dresses from there. There were 4 girls there to help out and check in on our friend while she's going in and out of dresses but we were pushed aside and she was the only one allowed to push her way into the fitting room while she was changing. So we just sat there while she tried everything on and gave opinions on how we liked the dresses. Completely ruined our experience honestly. After asking 2-3 times if she had specific dresses like the one pictured below she kept bringing satin, no lace, tight dresses that we didn't like and it wasn't until the bride didn't try on the next dress and asked specifically for another one like that one she liked for the worker to say "oh I'm sorry there's no other ones beside that one, we could've ordered one but you waited for too long". And after that we decided to leave because those were the dresses we came looking for. After that I had to ask for permission to go browse the dresses on clearance which was always allowed as this was still a store and I asked for the size of the dress pictured. She responded with "it's a 10 and only the clearance ones on the back wall" this is where we were originally looking at in the very beginning of the process... Not sure if buying a dress from here is worth the hassle of the bad service and disrespect from the workers. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had an incredibly disappointing and stressful experience at this David's Bridal location while ordering a bridesmaid dress. I know this review is long, but I would take the time to read it if you're considering coming here. What should have been a simple process turned into a mess of poor communication, body shaming, and outright dishonesty. I was measured in-store by Stephanie Martinez and told I was a size 0. When the dress arrived, it didn't fit anywhere--waist, hips, straps, or length. I was then told by the alterations associate, Lily, that it would cost $183.81 to alter the dress, nearly the cost of the $200 dress itself. This clearly shows I was either mismeasured or sold a size that was never going to fit me properly. (Reluctantly I paid for the alterations, since I need the dress to fit for my friend's wedding) Immediately after leaving the store, I called to express my concerns and see if anything could be done. When I got the chance to speak to a manager, Lindsey, she blamed my body--telling me "all bodies are different" and "bodies fluctuate"--instead of acknowledging a mistake. She also told me a general manager would follow up, but when I called back, I was told there is no general manager. I later received a call from Lindsey again, this time not identifying herself and pretending to be someone else. When I asked for help, she told me under no circumstances would I receive a refund--I could either go through with the alterations or pick up the dress, but my money was gone. Feeling defeated and under pressure, I agreed to the alterations, not wanting my money to be completely wasted. However, I decided I wanted to go somewhere else after this experience was so upsetting. I tried to cancel the alterations within 15 minutes, but I was told it was too late because the alterations had already started--another lie. I decided to come in that night with my sister-in-law, her parents, and my brother to see what alterations had been done. Juana, another manager, told me she would "just take the pins out" and then handed me the dress--clearly showing nothing had been done. When I had calmly asked to see the dress and asked if anything could be done to resolve the situation, Juana became extremely defensive. She accused my family of being "threatening," even pointing directly at my sister-in-law. She told me she would've worked with me if I had handled it differently--but if something could be done, why wasn't anything offered when I had asked calmly and respectfully for help multiple times over the phone? My family and I were nothing but polite and composed. Now, I have an unaltered dress that doesn't fit, and I've been charged for alterations that never happened. I was misled, pressured, and treated with blatant disrespect. Brides and bridal parties deserve better. Avoid this location at all costs. read more

My sister bought her wedding dress at David's in Riverside, CA. Unfortunately, the wedding was cancel and she returned the dress back to David's May 4. She was told she would be reimbursed by mail as their return policy indicates. As of today she has not received the mail refund. They have told her several times that they have mailed, the last time they told her that they sent the check thru UPS and that it would take 20 days to arrive from Riverside to Newbury ParK, CA. It's a two hour drive and guess what? The check has not made it Newbury Park! My sister lives in Mexico and feels like they are refusing to refund her because of it. As soon you enter you are greeted, if you don't make a reservation and they have time they'll make you wait less than 5 minutes but you can browse through the dresses. We were helped by 3 lovely ladies. My mom's wedding is very western vibe and they have some boots to try on, different kinds of veils. We had been to other stores and had no luck but thankfully we made an appointment and came here, their value and prices are amazing my mom bought everything she needed without breaking her budget. Today was my first experience starting to look for a dress. When I came in I did not have an appointment but was greeted by a store empty of customers but with three staff members at the front. One of the women coldly asked me when my date was (something I don't have yet) and then started barking at me (these dresses are here these are here and don't touch those, if you want to try on you'll need an appointment) I understand most places would need an appointment but this store was again...empty. Empty dressing rooms, no other customers. I looked around for a bit and when I went to make an appointment was grilled again with questions I didn't quite have the answers to yet and empty handed of a dress or a positive wedding dress shopping experience.... I was going to just buy the dress online but now I don't think I want to even give them my money. So I hope the staff all had fun hanging out today? We walked in and asked if we would be able to do a walk in to see dresses and they had availability and assigned Jade to help us out. Most unwelcoming welcome ever received! as soon as I walked into the door an associate greeted. She asked me if i was looking for anything and i said browsing dresses, as my mom and I just finished business at a nearby location and thought I'd stop since my SO and I are in wedding talks now. I havent put together a mood board but I've tried on a few wedding gowns at a bridal expo and have an idea of a few styles I like. But I wanted to browse any other styles i may have not considered before. After answering that I'm wanting to browse gowns while facing the wedding dresses I was asked again rudely and sternly what I wanted. Again, wedding gowns, just browsing. And again, rudely she asked "name for appointment". Let her know, I AM BROWSING, which should have let her know I obviously dont have an appointment - do you need an appointment to eyeball the gowns??? The then sternly followed up with "whens the date". We dont have a date set, we're literally in beginning stages. She passively pointed to the bridal gowns (gee thanks, the ones i pointed to the whole time) and said i can look but need an appointment later. I looked for a little bit but ultimately left because of the nasty and pretentious attitude. My mom and I both didnt want to spend anymore time than that at this bridal location. Would have loves to had a more friendly an personal experience here. I can't explain how amazing the service is here. From start to finish. I don't recommend doing things at the last minute. I know it makes things difficult for others. But, I needed a dress and I needed it in one day including alternations and they went above and beyond to make it happen for me. The never once made me feel like I was a burden, they never made me feel like I was taking up too much of their time. Jo helped me to find my dress and made sure I was well taken care of! She felt like part of the family! She made sure that I was able to get alterations in one day!! I feel so lucky to have her help. Lily! Sweet Lily altered my dress and she stayed after her closing time to make sure that I would have it the night before my wedding.. She made sure it fit perfectly added a corset that just made it extra beautiful. I don't think I could thank her enough. Everyone in this store is so sweet goes above and beyond. I came to this location after having an unpleasant experience at the Ontario location. And all I can say is wow what a difference in customer service! I went to the Ontario location the other day with an appointment and was given bad service. I was in need of look for a bridesmaid dress for the end of September in a specific color. The stylists there didn't pay attention to me at all for about 10 minutes, showed very little interested in even assisting me and another customer, and didn't even give me any other options or suggestions after not finding a dress in my size/color. I completely just walked out that day from the store and left. I came to the Riverside location today and was greeted by the girl at the front desk, she asked what I was looking for, and then pointed me to an actual stylist who would be helping me. The store was completely quiet and empty which was a relief. The store was a lot more organized and tidy as well. Her name was Justine! She was with me the entire time and was very helpful and sweet. Her personality and vibes were just awesome, I really enjoyed talking with her and shared some laughs as well. We thankfully found a dress! All we needed to do was order my size and color online and it would arrive in store for me to do final measurements in a few weeks before the wedding. Thank you Justine for making this experience so much better than the last one and being a remarkable stylist! I came in here a couple of weeks ago with 2 of my bridesmaids, and we were helped by Farrah (not sure if I spelled her name right). She was super helpful, kind and made our appointment really enjoyable for me and 2 of my bridesmaids who came to get fitted for dresses. The manager who was working that night (Saturday 8/14) was really friendly and welcoming too! Today I had called to make an appointment to bring my jr bridesmaids in to get fitted for their dresses and again, had a pleasant experience. The woman that checked me in was very sweet and kind, however only the beginning of my experience was enjoyable. My stylist was Justine and she was very rude to my family and myself while I was there. I was looking for a modest wedding dress as I will be having a traditional catholic wedding. When I asked her if there were any pure white dresses she mockingly asked me why I wanted it white as if it was an outrageous idea. Once I was actually trying on dresses she kept walking in on me without knocking and if you've ever been to a Davids bridal you know how many mirrors there are. Along with that when my parents were looking at dresses for me to try on she rudely told them that they weren't allowed to touch the dresses. I understand if she's used to families crossing lines with the brides, but I don't think she handled it well at all. At one point she even tried making a joke to me that my parents were only looking at the clearance section. Overall it just seemed like she was trying to get a commission on my dress so needless to say I didn't buy anything. I 10000000% recommend this store! I was blessed with Jenny as my stylist, she was super helpful and kind! I went in not knowing what dress size I was or even what a sash was lol but Jenny found me the cutest sash and veil to match my dress perfectly! I didn't think my dress could look better but she definitely upgraded it! I'm also extremely happy I met Erin, she was so attentive and sweet she really made me feel comfortable and at home! she also helped me find the perfect shoes to go with all 3 dresses I purchased!
