I chose to go to this Tailor based on the Yelp 5 stars rating. I had a zipper on an expensive purse that would not close no matter what I tried. While there, I saw two customers. One trying on tailored pants and saw his satisfaction with his body language and words of appreciation to the Tailor. The other customer came in to pick up a jacket that was completed, tried it on, and shared his gratitude with the work and was surprised that the Tailor had also worked on an inside pocket! (I could tell he was a repeat customer.) As far as my purse the Tailor fixed it and only charged me $10.00! (I gave his a $10.00 tip, which was much deserved!) I had a wedding dress altered here a year ago. They're friendly, work with appointments which they stick to, and have a quick turn around time. Their work is impeccable and not cheap. Though they do quote you up front. My gripe is that on my final fitting the bust was too tight. I told them that it was tight and was succinctly dismissed and told it was supposed to fit like that. I didn't want to deal with the hassle or argue because I was fed up with wedding planning by then so I just took the dress as altered. I looked great on my wedding day but the dress was too damn tight all day. I've since lost weight since then and tried on my dress again just for kicks. It's still too tight on the bust area. I get that brides like to look slim or whatever, but some of us want to be comfortable on our wedding day. These wedding dresses are supposed to accentuate and fit properly not be torture devices. I will prob never bring anything back here because I'm not the tailor my clothes type but they should listen to customers when they say something is tight. read more

I was in a pinch time wise for a wedding. I found a great dress for a really good price but it was just a little too big up top. I figured I would see if I could have it altered, I called around a few places and a lot of them were either too busy or taking appointments for the following week. I only had a few days before I left town for the wedding. Cruz Tailors said they would see and could do a rush order for an added fee. I came in paid and picked up in two days. I loved the way it came out and the fit was so much better. I felt more comfortable enjoying myself without being nervous my dress would fall. Would come back and they really seem to know what they are doing. I can't say for sure price point wise if it's lower or higher but I believe it was very reasonable for what I needed as well as the speed. It's easy to find in the heart of the downtown area just a little away from the Main Streets. Street parking but there is a lot close by if you need to use it. Very convenient and right off the freeway. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I will say for bigger jobs you want to give them time and yourself. My alterations were fairly simple and minimal just as an FYI. Would come back again and I have a few items I need altered in my closet. read more

First appointment: I just went in today for my fitting appointment for my wedding dress at 11am . The fitting was exactly 30 minutes long and he was extremely nice! He helped me decide on how I want my overall dress to look . He said that the dress would be ready in two weeks so i scheduled my next appointment. In that appointment I have to figure out how we want the trim to look and make adjustments for the button to pin my train . Since my wedding is a year away we have plenty of time to make adjustments without rushing . Notes : My dress was a size 12 and brought down to a size 8 from the previous owner . I've been here twice for the same thing to get my work uniforms fitted but twice they didn't measure me and just guessed where to make the cuts. The first time all the uniforms were done it would cut circulation out from my arms at the shoulder and armpit areas. It was really so uncomfortable, again I went back for a second time and told them it was too tight last time so I got a whole new set of uniforms and again they made them too tight. I won't be going back again, the second time they even charged me more than the first time. Not sure why they can't get it right ‍ I'm still waiting on another whole new set of uniforms to get them tailored elsewhere lol anyways hope they measure you guys properly if y only decide to come here read more

First off, I have to preface this review with the fact that the actual thread work itself is IMPECCABLE. I came to get some jeans (25" waist) altered a couple sizes bigger (27"). I brought some leftover black jean fabric for them to use in the process. The seams were flawless and look like they came straight from the factory. However, I could not overlook the very obvious issue with the pants the first time I went to go pick them up..... If you'll refer to the first photo, you can see that no one could wear these pants out without being made mercilessly teased. They fit perfectly, but looks-wise, they'd be a laughingstock. Brought them back that same day and told the owner of my plight. I even showed him the photo of me wearing them. To my genuine surprise, he didn't really see any issue? He seemed almost agitated that I suggested he alter it from the sides, as you usually do when making pants bigger. He said it was "going to be much more work." But he went ahead and undid the hip adjustment anyways, the result of which is seen in the 2nd photo. I don't mind the small square as it is a lot more inconspicuous, but this whole experience was just a tad tiresome (and funny, at times). Paid $25, whereas I'd received quotes starting at $14 elsewhere. I just went here because of how close it was. Otherwise, the shop itself is very neat and nice, with very pleasant front desk workers. read more
