Had such a great experience here! Abel was incredibly nice and welcoming. He even took me in right before closing, which I really appreciated. He was helpful, professional, and made the whole experience easy. I'm so glad I found this place and would definitely recommend them! read more

Never been to a tailor before and to prepare for my upcoming wedding we went to the best reviewed tailor in riverside and it was a great experience. They are welcoming, open and patient with making sure you leave with what you want. We brought in suits from LA on a good deal and they turned those suits into making my brother and I feel like we could walk the red carpet. When they tailor the look for you they work with your preferences and provide their opinion in a constructive manner, where you feel you can pick the look you are going for. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to tailor a suit and will be coming back. Thank you so much Cruz Custom Tailors, worth the value and you can tell they take pride in their work. read more

Fellas, I highly recommend getting your everyday clothes tailored. I've brought in clothing articles ranging from Momotaro to Lululemon to even Yeezy merch, and they are able to alter it perfectly to my body lengths every time. Everyone's body is different; bring those Zara jeans in. CCT will make em look like Zara had that pair made only for you. read more

I was in a pinch time wise for a wedding. I found a great dress for a really good price but it was just a little too big up top. I figured I would see if I could have it altered, I called around a few places and a lot of them were either too busy or taking appointments for the following week. I only had a few days before I left town for the wedding. Cruz Tailors said they would see and could do a rush order for an added fee. I came in paid and picked up in two days. I loved the way it came out and the fit was so much better. I felt more comfortable enjoying myself without being nervous my dress would fall. Would come back and they really seem to know what they are doing. I can't say for sure price point wise if it's lower or higher but I believe it was very reasonable for what I needed as well as the speed. It's easy to find in the heart of the downtown area just a little away from the Main Streets. Street parking but there is a lot close by if you need to use it. Very convenient and right off the freeway. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I will say for bigger jobs you want to give them time and yourself. My alterations were fairly simple and minimal just as an FYI. Would come back again and I have a few items I need altered in my closet. read more

Cruz Custom Tailors - Altered dress that was a little too big. - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Riverside, California

I brought in a long skirt for a costume that needed to be shortened and taken in. I needed it back fairly quickly to wear to an event, and they were able to get it done when I needed it. It was ready when promised and fit perfectly. Mr. Cruz and his son were pleasant and friendly, and made the whole thing very easy. My husband will be bringing them a pair of pants he's needed to get hemmed for a long time but didn't know where to take them. read more

I had a wedding dress altered here a year ago. They're friendly, work with appointments which they stick to, and have a quick turn around time. Their work is impeccable and not cheap. Though they do quote you up front. My gripe is that on my final fitting the bust was too tight. I told them that it was tight and was succinctly dismissed and told it was supposed to fit like that. I didn't want to deal with the hassle or argue because I was fed up with wedding planning by then so I just took the dress as altered. I looked great on my wedding day but the dress was too damn tight all day. I've since lost weight since then and tried on my dress again just for kicks. It's still too tight on the bust area. I get that brides like to look slim or whatever, but some of us want to be comfortable on our wedding day. These wedding dresses are supposed to accentuate and fit properly not be torture devices. I will prob never bring anything back here because I'm not the tailor my clothes type but they should listen to customers when they say something is tight. read more

Abel, Cruz's son has great customer service! He was very welcoming when first walking in to finish. I came in to get alterations on my engagement dress and will have it back in a timely manner for when I need it! I will say they are more on the pricier side but you are guaranteed great customer service and great work on your clothing. I highly recommend if you are a local! read more

I have taken several items to this shop to have altered or refined. Their work is perfection and their kindness is really appreciated. As a woman it's sometimes hard to find a tailor that respects your body for all its imperfections. And Mr. Cruz and his employees are very kind and very respectful. They give you lots of good ideas and pricing options. They are honest and their work is amazing. I went to other Tailors with dresses and was turned away or felt shamed for the ideas that I wanted to have implemented (simple things like adding sleeves to cover my arms), but Mr. Cruz was very kind and was able to do everything that I wanted. These will be my go-to Tailors forever. Highly recommend. read more

lol I'm sorry this was the strangest experience I've ever had while trying to get something altered. I brought him two dresses. One that needed a zipper to be converted into a corset and the other just needed to be let out at the top a little bit. He came up with every excuse in the book as to why he couldn't do it.. noting everything from "I don't have good materials right now" to "it wont look good". And kept suggesting I just get a different dress, and was LAUGHING. I got frustrated and just took my stuff and left. Such an odd experience, I definitely don't recommend coming here. read more

Haven't received item yet but store is well kept, clean, and reasonably priced. Will update when dress hem is received.

I chose to go to this Tailor based on the Yelp 5 stars rating. I had a zipper on an expensive purse that would not close no matter what I tried. While there, I saw two customers. One trying on tailored pants and saw his satisfaction with his body language and words of appreciation to the Tailor. The other customer came in to pick up a jacket that was completed, tried it on, and shared his gratitude with the work and was surprised that the Tailor had also worked on an inside pocket! (I could tell he was a repeat customer.) As far as my purse the Tailor fixed it and only charged me $10.00! (I gave his a $10.00 tip, which was much deserved!) I can't recommend this Tailor enough! read more

Cruz Custom Tailors has shown unwavering consistency, quality, and incredible attention to detail since the very first time I walked through their doors 12 years ago and I know they'll continue to do so for years to come! Elizabeth worked her magic on my Black Halo sheath dress I purchased online that was too long and too loose. Finding a professional dress with a flattering, pencil-fit silhouette has been challenging, but Elizabeth tailored it perfectly to match my vision efficiently while maintaining quality work. Because of her, I walked into an important conference feeling confident, polished, and empowered. I was able to reach my goal because I felt so good about myself! I would definitely check them out for any tailoring or custom build needs. Everyone is so friendly and hard workers who take pride in their profession. Thank you so much Elizabeth! read more

Going on my 3rd or 4th time having the Cruz family tailor my Dickies, jeans and football jerseys. Elizebeth finished some pants this week and I couldn't love them more than I already did. Very patient and professional, exceeding expectations every time I pick up my clothes. Highly recommended for wedding dress tailoring! They did exactly what I requested and got done in 2 weeks! So thankful to have found them!

First appointment: I just went in today for my fitting appointment for my wedding dress at 11am . The fitting was exactly 30 minutes long and he was extremely nice! He helped me decide on how I want my overall dress to look . He said that the dress would be ready in two weeks so i scheduled my next appointment. In that appointment I have to figure out how we want the trim to look and make adjustments for the button to pin my train . Since my wedding is a year away we have plenty of time to make adjustments without rushing . Notes : My dress was a size 12 and brought down to a size 8 from the previous owner . I got this dress on stillwhite.com and the designer is Essence of Australia. I will be taking 5 inches from my waist, 3 from my top and 2 from my butt. Fitting is less than $400 My YouTube has more info /bts (Posting 2nd post at next appointment) read more

Cruz Custom Tailors - My wedding dress fitting - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Riverside, California

We have used Cruz Custom Tailors several times over the last decade. We've used them for four of our children's weddings, including altering all three of our daughter's wedding dresses. We have used them for the mother of the bride dresses as well as alterations for suits for our sons and my husband. We have also had them make custom suits for my husband twice. On top of all that, we have done minor alterations like taking in shirts or taking up pants, etc. Everything we have ever had done has been done with excellence. This is the best tailor in Riverside, bar none. Their service is excellent and we have never been anything but happy with the results. Highly highly highly recommend! read more

I don't have a lot of experience with getting things tailored, but my experience here was hands down the best I've ever had. This was especially important since I was getting my wedding dress tailored. The team was able to get everything I wanted done to my dress even when I didn't think it was possible. Elizabeth was amazing and was there every step of the way and the rest of the team were fantastic at making us feel welcome. I will always recommend this tailor, they were reasonable priced and did a fantastic job. read more

I've been here twice for the same thing to get my work uniforms fitted but twice they didn't measure me and just guessed where to make the cuts. The first time all the uniforms were done it would cut circulation out from my arms at the shoulder and armpit areas. It was really so uncomfortable, again I went back for a second time and told them it was too tight last time so I got a whole new set of uniforms and again they made them too tight. I won't be going back again, the second time they even charged me more than the first time. Not sure why they can't get it right ‍ I'm still waiting on another whole new set of uniforms to get them tailored elsewhere lol anyways hope they measure you guys properly if y only decide to come here read more

My daughter found Cruz from Yelp and brought her wedding dress in for alterations. She suggested I bring mine in for hemming so I brought my mom's dress too. When my husband brought the suit we had just purchased from Macys, the pants were a different color. Totally wrong. I started to panic. The wedding was a week away. Cruz ordered a new, nicer suit, it arrived and the alterations were done all in time for the wedding. I highly recommend Cruz for alterations. I'm already a return customer.
