I'm a happy, returning customer! I finally found a place that I can trust getting my clothes altered. I had a few garnets that needed some work. For example, a tank top that had a clasp in the back was too big, so my shirt became loose often. I had a dress where the straps were too big and would fall off my shoulders. I've had a few cardigan sweaters adjusted. I can't stress this enough it's so important to get your clothes fitted to your needs. It improves the quality of your clothes and you will enjoy wearing them. They are cash only and kind of expensive but I'm impressed with the quality and the friendliness of the staff. I came to A+ Alterations today to get the straps on my wedding dress tightened. The owner was initially kind and helpful, charging me $100 for the service and requiring a $50 deposit. However, when I went across the street to a different cleaner (near Bad Ass Coffee), they offered to press, dry clean, and alter my straps for just $58--far less than what A+ was charging. On top of that, A+ told me it would take 8 days to complete the work, whereas the cleaners said they'd have it ready by 5 PM on Thursday--a huge difference. Wanting to save time and money, I politely returned to A+ to get my dress back. That's when things took a turn. The owner became incredibly unprofessional, insisting the other place would "ruin" my dress. Then, she refused to refund even $20 of my deposit, claiming I had "wasted her time." I understand businesses have policies, but the way she handled this was completely unacceptable. She overcharges, takes twice as long as a standard cleaner, and clearly values money over customer service. I do NOT recommend this place. If you're considering coming here, check other places first--especially before leaving a deposit! read more

I purchased my wedding dress from ohpolly it originally is meant to be see through but I wanted to be more obviously covered up for my wedding day. I unfortunately first took my dress to another alterations shop for 8 weeks and was less than satisfied when I picked it up 6 days before my wedding. My dad referred simona to me and right away I made the almost 2 hour drive to her, to see what she can do for my dress with just 4 days before my wedding. Simona did an amazing job hemming my dress. Originally the dress was for my bf's navy event in Hawaii. We didn't end up going, but I still wanted to keep the dress. She hemmed them so I could wear flats. I wore my dress for tea at the Huntington Rose Garden Tea Room. Took some great photos in the garden. So happy with how my dress turned out. I also took a pair of jeans for Simona to hem. I don't have a picture, but they were the perfect length. Simona is helpful and completes the alterations within a timely manner. This lady gave me false hope over the phone. I explained in detail what I needed to have done to my dress. She said over the phone it's very likely she WILL be able to take my dress in after thoroughly explaining what I needed done however she still wanted me to come in for her final answer. I told her I would be commuting 45 minutes so please let me know if it's not possible! Nonetheless, she still had me drive over mentioning again that she more than likely will be able to. Not even 5 minutes inside her store she scoffs and says all the changes I'm requesting would require at least 2 weeks. No idea why she WASTED MY TIME. I came in needing a bridesmaid dress shortened a little bit and definitely got ripped off. While the lady was friendly and nice, this dress was only 2 layers and I came in with about a week and a half for this to be finished but she said it would be $120 for my one dress. I didn't ask for it to be finished fast and none of the sides were taken in, it was just a little too long for me. I got taken advantage of because I know I am young but I am not stupid. I knew what was happening and still paid because I needed the dress altered before I left for my flight and didn't want to drive to more places. Just wanted to shed some light for others that think of coming here. The dress itself came out fine but I know it shouldn't have been that much. No reasonable pricing here. First time trying this place the service was not as expected at all, paid so much money for the alterations which cost twice the amount of the pants being hemmed which was absurd to me $50. I don't know if they couldn't help a young man out or give some guidance or direction but for slacks they should not be so short. Even after calling to share the disappointment there is no apology from them just I pinned him and he said they looked fine. Therefore disappointed as a professional you cant advise what seems reasonable or looks good. The owner is a true sweetheart! I went to a number of local alterations to get fitted and quoted for a Lengha Choli that needed to be taken in and shorten. This place gave me the cheapest of all the places. It was still a bit out of my budget as I purchased my dress second hand and could not justify spending that much money getting it altered. With that said, although I chose not to alter my dress, I will be coming back here for all future alterations. The owner is so sweet and the most honest business owner I've ever met. Had I insisted on getting my dress altered she would have gladly done it for me, however, she recommended I just return the dress if possible or find a better fitting dress as the cost to alter was not worth it. I wanted to hug her for looking out for my interest and not her own. Now that is customer service! Just moved to the area & was looking to get my dress hemmed for a wedding.. Called & asked for a quote, the lady said she would have to see the dress first, but it was $15+. I told her that I work 10-7, so I'd be dropping it off on the weekend.. she then insisted she would come in earlier for me (very accommodating!) I came in the following day at 9am. She had me put my dress & shoes on. While standing on the platform she pinned my dress. After the fitting, she asked when I would need the dress by.. I told her I was in no rush, the wedding wasn't until the end of the month. She told me the dress should be ready the following week. I told her that I usually work 10-7 so my boyfriend would probably pick it up for me & asked if I could just pay upfront & he would pick it up for me. She told me the dress was $100 (This was partially my fault, because I thought she said $15 & I usually confirm 1-5 or 5-0, but for some reason I didn't on the phone) I still think $50 let alone $100 is pretty steep to hem a dress.. but I felt bad that she came in early & we already went through the process.. also I would have been late to work for nothing I barely got to try on the dress & just noticed the hem is uneven. It's a decent job, just would've expected more for $100. read more
