An unexpected very pleasant surprise. I needed a suit. I'm a big guy with very long arms. I didn't expect this store in the mall to have such a good selection with a tailor on-site. I was able to get a reasonably priced suit which was tailored and fits great. When I picked up my suit, I liked it so much that I purchased an additional suit and dress shirt. I was needing to trade in my baseball cap for a real hat. I was set on a newsboy or a flat cap and my daughter recommended Zilas. We arrived and was greeted by the store owner Moosa. I was trying in different caps and decided on a Kenny K brand (never heard of it) and fit like a glove. Very happy with my purchase and at $59.99 for wool cap was a good price. The only reason for four stars instead of five was the store is a little unorganized and the hats where kind of piled on top of one another. Paper stuffing was all over. I'm going to try to contain my entire experience at Zilas, in the shortest way possible. Had to go to a wedding. Came here because of the reviews. An employee helped me choose a suit, was measured to be altered, was very pleased. Came back to get the suit, still did not fit me right. Had to pay more to finish the alter. Owner called me a couple days later to get more time, I agreed. Came back a week after he said it would be done, suit was not even touched. Left empty handed. Owner delivered it to me a week later. Got the suit with only the blazer altered, pants untouched. Had to drop off the suit again. Finally got the suit a day later. Not worth over $300. Only gave me a cheap ugly tie for compensation. Owner apologized many times but I will never go there again or recommend it to anyone. read more

Was redirected here for alterations on a suit that I bought at another establishment. To make a long story short, I have bought 2 suits for me, 2 for my son, and had all the boys in both my daughter's and goddaughter's XV's buy suits at the aforementioned establishment and NEVER had any issues with any alterations done on the two suits I bought there or a different suit not purchased at said unnamed suit place. Now, I don't wanna bash that other place, or place blame on the young lady that assisted me there, but it is clear that because she was overwhelmed both times assisting me, she marked my coat and pants wrong, hence making my alterations wrong. In comes "Baby Mo" from Zilas. After the alterations being wrong and incomplete on the first try, my trousers done wrong on the second (taken in when I didn't ask for them to be), the third time WAS the charm, and Baby Mo was able to take care of me and get my pants done in about 20 minutes after being sent there from the other suit place, only to find out that the other tailor I was referred to had gone home for the evening. Baby Mo and his co-worker, probably his sister or other family member, have THEE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! They're pretty funny, they're friendly and I am glad they were able to take care of me after telling them I'm leaving to Vegas on Thursday morning and needed that suit NOW. Because of their attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond, I'm gonna just have to go see them when I get another suit! read more

3/5/19 It's been a year and the suits have held up great, gotten TONS of compliments and still look great under daily wear, washing and dry cleaning. It's time for more suits, so we made the 40 minute trek because of the great customer service last year. I was tempted to try a place closer to us, but based on yelp reviews, Zilas was still the best place to go. When we arrived we were greeted by the same guy, Ortiz, and amazingly he remembered us before we even recognized him. That's pretty cool! We felt welcome, and he really went above and beyond in helping us. He is the ultimate professional. In talking to him, I discovered that this is "his passion" (his words). I think that it's cool to know your passion and be able to live it out. The passion truly shows in him. Buying and fitting suits can be somewhat overwhelming or stressful because it is a very personal experience. You want to look sharp. But unlike a bad $20 haircut, a $200 suit is an investment you don't want to be stuck wearing or paying for a long time. I've read some other reviews at other suit or alterations stores where people are literally in tears bc their expensive suit or gown got ruined during alterations, or customer service was rude or uncaring. When you're dropping hundreds of your hard earned cash, you want to feel it's worth it. Anyways, Ortiz was great at finding the right cut for my husband, one that was comfortable enough for him to work in, yet was tailored and fitted enough for wifey. We ordered 5 suits and he gave us a great deal. We will pick up the suits tomorrow, so I'll update then as needed. read more
