Let me begin with stating, I received spectacular service from Ortiz and Moosa at Zilas Men's clothing store. On Saturday, September 22nd, I had to drive into LA, from Norco, with my husband to handle some personal business. We were also scheduled to attend a small wedding for a family member in north Upland that evening, at 5:00 pm. The plan was to be leaving LA by 1:30pm, arrive at our home in Norco by 3:30pm, order dinner for our kids, change for the 5:00pm wedding in Upland, and be on the road for the wedding by 4:15pm. In theory, it was a great plan. But, this plan didn't allow for heavy traffic jams out of LA on a Saturday afternoon. At 4:00pm, we had finally reached the 60 and 71 freeway interchange. We knew that plan A had to be scrapped and a plan B identified. This meant shopping for suits, shirts, shoes, socks, and ties, which basically meant an immediate $1000.00 quick purchase. Because, this wedding was formal and we were dressed way too casual. We only had 40 minutes to pick a full service store, select our complete outfits, pay, change, and hit the road again to be on time to this 5:00pm wedding. Searching Yelp, Zilas came up as our closest option. I called and spoke to Moosa, while in route. I explained our situation and he said not to worry. Just come in and they would get us taken care of ASAP. We raced into the store, introduced ourselves to Moosa and Ortiz and these two men went right to work for us. It was amazing because as they were still managing other customers in the store, to us, it felt like we were their only customer and they were fully focused on us and getting us to the wedding on time. I would say the impossible was actually done. Not only did we get two suites, shirts, socks, ties, hankies, and shoes picked out and tried on. But, the pants were not hemmed. Their seamstress, quickly measured us both, hemmed both slacks, and ironed our shirts. All of this within 35 minutes. This was impossible and amazing. I own several suites and usually have them tailored. Tailoring and ironing alone never happens in 35 minutes for two suites, let alone on the same day, at any suite store that I have purchased from. I feel as though, by saying they were incredible, would still be an understatement. The suites fit perfect and actually looked like they were custom tailored for our physique. From head to toe, I must say we looked awesome, which was also conveyed to us by the other wedding guests. We told our story and everyone was simply blown away. The common statement was, There is no way your outfits look that great and you just bought and had them tailored and pressed within 35 minutes, less than an hour ago! So, hats off to Ortiz and Moosa at Zilas for an amazing job well done. As we all know, the customer service experience totally depends on the sales person you are working with. We've all experienced calling a company more than once and the quality of service can change drastically from one call to the next, again, when calling the same company but you're getting different staff answering the phone. Zila's Yelp reviews persuaded me to try them in my crisis moment. The customer service I experienced form Ortiz and Moosa will have me coming back to make more purchases. It's always nerve-racking to put your (especially expensive) clothes in the hands of a tailor; you never know if it'd come out the way you want. But the employees here put any fears I had to rest. Not only do they work at the speed of light, it's clear they also take great care of their client's clothes evident from the excellent craftsmanship. On top of this, alterations here are very affordable. I come in about every 3 weeks or so with several dress shirts and pants and the turn around time is never more than a week (you can also rush items if you need it asap). As for the staff, everyone is so friendly and eager to help! You'd occasionally catch the owner walking around the business, which shows he really cares about quality control (he's a super nice dude too). read more

Looking for a suit is not the hardest thing, but finding those willing to give good customer service while doing so is. I had originally gone to Men's Warehouse, walked around for 25min, and to my avail no one approached me to see if I needed help. Mind you, the store wasn't packed or anything. Several associates talking to one another, that's it. The following day I head to Zila's due to their reviews on yelp. They were busy so I figured maybe 10min till someone says hello or is able to help. 30sec into being at the store and I was greeted, a few minutes later the owner begins to help me find the suit I want. I was fitted and they were able to accommodate my 2-day need for the fitting to be complete. Today I walk in and they are 50min till closing. I try on the jacket and it's perfect, then I try on the pants and they were tailored too tight. Ortiz, told me they'd handle it right away and handed it to the seamstress and she went at it. 20min later and they fit perfect, but now I'm looking at the break of the pants and want it a bit less (8min till closing). Without hesitation Ortiz asks if I'm second guessing the length and says "don't worry, we will do it right now!". It is now 15min past and I'm writing this. They deserve the solid reviews and deserve to be reviewed due their customer service alone! Thank you Ortiz for your patience and due diligence on my suit and thank you seamstress for being so kind even past your allotted work time!
