Arlette's Cleaners We've used Arlette's for a couple of years now, ever since our last cleaner damaged a suit. We come for regular dry cleaning of work clothes and the occasional special item, in addition to light tailoring. Her work is reliable, with reasonable turnaround and highly professional results. We can expect fair pricing, and she'll be blunt about any issues. We once had an item that could've been repaired, but after talking it over with Arlette, realized it wasn't worth it. She literally talked us out of a repair instead of happily selling us alterations. Definitely the type of small business I want to support and see stick around for years to come. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! We've been going to Arlette's Cleaners in Upland for years, and I honestly can't imagine trusting anyone else with our clothes. Every item--whether it's everyday wear or something formal--comes back perfectly cleaned, pressed, and ready to go. Arlette's alteration work is top-notch. She's handled everything from simple fixes to major tailoring jobs, and every time the fit has been spot on. She even altered my wedding dress--and it turned out absolutely flawless! I took my daughter's sashes to get dry cleaned because she got champagne from her graduation pictures. When my daughter picked them up the lady only showed her the one that wasn't damaged. We didn't realize until days later that the sash was damaged. I called the cleaners to let her know but she acted surprised and said she was not aware of the damage. She did offer to fix the sash but at that point we no longer trusted her. This was a very disappointing experience. read more

I was referred by a bridal boutique owner in Ontario and although this wasn't near my home it was worth the drive. Arlette, the store owner made my appointment over the phone and answered my many questions. Mona, altered my dress, hemmed, add a bustle and took out the sides for me within a week! I cannot say enough good things about Arlettes Cleaners. I brought in my wedding dress after our outdoor wedding, and it was in rough shape -- asphalt stains on the hem, a couple of unidentified stains, spray tan, and some general dirt from dancing the night away. I was honestly nervous it might not come clean. From the moment I dropped it off, Arlette made me feel completely at ease. She explained the entire cleaning process, what stains they anticipated would be the most stubborn, and how they'd safely treat the delicate fabrics. The best part? They offered dress boxing services too, which was exactly what I wanted to preserve it long-term. When I picked up my dress -- it looked BRAND NEW. Every stain was gone, the fabric was bright and fresh, and they had carefully packed it into a beautiful preservation box with a clear window so I can peek at it without opening it up. I HIGHLY recommend coming here for your wedding dress needs ! I brought my dress here to be cleaned after my wedding and honestly did have high hopes for my dress because it was such a mess. I had drink spilled on me , I had chamoy stains, and the bottom of my dress was dragged all night making the bottom appear black. But when I had picked up my dress from here , they made it look brand new ! I was sooo happy with the results! read more

In April 2023, I ordered a fully custom suit from Enzo Custom, including fabric, lining, full canvas, buttons, and pattern, for over $800. I wore the suit once over a year ago and have been searching for a dry cleaner ever since. I've saved recommendations from all over, from Santa Monica to Riverside, San Diego to San Francisco. This week, needing the suit, I found Arlette's Cleaners among my saved options and decided to go there since I was nearby. I regret it. When I picked up my suit, I didn't think much of it, as it was one of many cleaners from my year long search. However, Arlette's Cleaners damaged the buttons on the jacket and pants, making me regret the choice. I have no choice but to use the suit as it is. I'll warn future customers: DON'T COME HERE. I wanted a clean suit without damaged buttons, but that's not what I got. Did Arlette's Cleaners destroyed a $800+ suit? YES!! Can the buttons be replace? Yes, the buttons can be replaced, but I still consider the suit ruined by Arlette's Cleaners. No matter how you look at it, the buttons are damaged, and the suit is destroyed. You might think, "It's just the buttons, not the whole suit." Fair point, but would you trust a car mechanic who damaged your oil plug and let you drive off? NO! You would 100% doubt everything the mechanic did on your car. My suit is the car, the buttons are the oil plug, and I doubt everything Arlette's Cleaners did to my suit. Finding a good car mechanic is tough, but finding a bad one is easier than gravity. And Arlette's Cleaners is easier than gravity. What do I want Arlette's Cleaners to do to fix it? The simplest solution would be to cover the cost of the buttons and labor for suit repairs. Will they do it? I'll let you know..... read more

Very nice alterations they do. Today went in at the last minute and the cleaners was able to accommodate me on hemming my daughter's pants for school, she didn't have to because they were almost closing. Came here around 0900 to get my haircut and drop of clothes. I parked in the parking lot near the cleaners and went to get my haircut first before dropping off my Laundry. The owner of the store I'm assuming darts out yelling about the one parking spot amongst 35 empty parking spaces. Wow! I went absolutely everywhere trying to find the perfect place to alter my wedding dress and finally found the perfect place. Mona was amazing! This was my first time coming here. Wonderful customer service! My daughter is going to prom next week and we had the dress already but it looked a little wrinkly to me so I had my oldest take it in for a steam because it's beaded. The lady at the front had her call me so she could talk to me. She said the dress was perfect and to just hang it up because the beads are heavy and will weigh it down and get the wrinkles out. She told me to save my money and even gave me a longer clear dress bag to put it in. With all that's going on with this prom, this just made my day. Lovely lady. Very warm, personable AND forgiving. She gave me some advice once on a stain to save dry cleaning costs. I tried it, didn't seem to work, so I thought it was set for life and ruined the garment. I returned and expressed my anger. However, when I rechecked, the stain was lighter so I repeated it and it eventually disappeared. I went back and apologized prufusely and she was very kind about it. After all. When I called here, they told me it starts at $19 but can go up to the $40s. With that info, i brought my dress here since it was the best price - even though this place was a bit far from my house. The customer service was excellent, dress was altered within a week, alteration was perfect. However, when I went to pay, the total was $86. I was a bit taken a back since the price was extremely different from what I was quoted. When I brought that up, the girl working was apologetic and let me know she will pass this info off to the owner. Tony called me back the next day to apologize for the misinformation and made it right by refunding me a portion of the cost. I really appreciated his professionalism, honesty, and understanding.

I called ~8 different places to get a quote and specifically said it's a length alteration for a chiffon bridesmaid dress with two layers. The range of prices I got quoted was $50-80. When I called here, they told me it starts at $19 but can go up to the $40s. With that info, i brought my dress here since it was the best price - even though this place was a bit far from my house. The customer service was excellent, dress was altered within a week, alteration was perfect. However, when I went to pay, the total was $86. I was a bit taken a back since the price was extremely different from what I was quoted. When I brought that up, the girl working was apologetic and let me know she will pass this info off to the owner. Tony called me back the next day to apologize for the misinformation and made it right by refunding me a portion of the cost. I really appreciated his professionalism, honesty, and understanding.

I had just got in town and I had several items I needed alterations on that I was not able to get done before my trip. The first place I stopped said it'd take a week which was not an option. Arlette's was able to take in the waist of two pairs of jeans (with no sign of ever being altered), taper the sides of two dress shirts, and shorten the sleeves on a jacket in 24 hours, with impeccable quality!! Every item I tried on felt like fully custom tailored items carefully tailored just for me. I may save all my alterations for my trips to Los Angeles because the prompt service and level of detail in their work far exceeds any tailoring service I've previously used. Our family has been taking our dry cleaning to Arlette's for a few years now. The prices are in line with other nearby cleaners, the turn-around time is two-three days depending on how fast you need it, but the customer service is what puts them over the top. Arlette is so sweet, and she ALWAYS welcomes you with a big smile and a giant hello! She has taken care of preserving my wedding dress, she has altered my uniforms, and I just couldn't ask for more. After some really bad experiences at other cleaners over the years, broken buttons, stains not removed or clothes not done when promised, I have found my cleaners for life.
