Josephine and Lorena are simply amazing at what they do! I actually found them here on Yelp and decided to give them a try because of the good reviews and proximity to my home. The first project I had for them was altering my mom's wedding dress from 30 years ago into a short dress I could wear for my bridal shower. Lorena spent at least an hour working on getting the length right, and even recommended a cute bustle design in the back to keep the wedding dress aesthetic. They pay so much attention to the details and truly care about how the garment will look once altered. My next project was my wedding dress, and although it was multiple layers, with lace and beading, needed a bustle added, and brought in at the top and shortened all around, they took it on. I spent at least 2 hours in the dress while they were on the floor putting pins in all around, to make sure it was altered just right. I was so impressed by how they work together and pay attention to every inch of the dress. I had two fittings and both times, I could tell how much they cared about getting it just right for me. The dress fits me like a glove now and the bustle is perfect! I did make sure to bring my wedding dress in months ahead of time so they didn't have to rush, but even so, they got it back to me a month before my wedding day. Amazing! Both projects were priced very fairly and I'm so impressed with how they turned out. I've received so many complements already. I had ordered a suit online and need to have the pants and jacket hemmed for a wedding that took place in late April. I brought the suit in on April 2 and was able to get everything altered to my liking before heading out. I wanted to get a little extra work done to the sit, like tightening the pants a bit more, sliming the pant legs and making a couple alterations to the jacket. But, didn't realize it was prom season! I didn't get her name, but the gal kindly had to decline the extra work because she had such a busy workload as it is. I went to My Boutique Alterations for my engagement dress. I had a hard time finding a back-up dress after I gained weight and didn't fit in the original one. It came only a week and a half before my event and it turned out to be way too long. I was struggling to find someone that could do emergency hemming. I tried on the dress with Josefina and she took measurements and put pins for alterations. She was very nice and had excellent customer service. It was even ready 3 days before my event. I came here because everyone had written good reviews but the pricing for their work is way too over priced. They wanted 150 just to cut the bottom and extra to fix the top. I was trying to ask why and couldn't get a straight answer just that it was too much work. Let me start by saying these ladies have been altering my clothes since my high school prom dress. Naturally, they are the only ones I would let touch my most important (my wedding) dress. I needed the top half of the dress to be taken in and off the shoulder sleeves added. As always, they made my dress fit me perfectly. Everything is hand sown and the quality of work is top shelf. I had visited a number of tailors, the combination of price, workmanship, and customer service being my measuring stick. Josephine was far and away the best experience I've had in all three categories. I do not like pushy tailors. When the words "I'll do it how you like it" are said, I can only hope a tailor means it. I got a dress for my prom and brought my dress to a different location, the lady told me to pick it up AT 4pm which she made very clear but the day of I went to go get it, i got there on time and she was closed, nor did she ever call before not a day or 15 mins before. I even told her that it was for prom, an important occasion, and she's closed the next two days which was when my prom was. Anyway, I had to get a new dress but most maxi/long dresses are normally wayyy too long for me and the texture of the dress makes it more difficult to alter it.
