Reputable dry cleaners are very hard to find. I thought we had found one at Orchard Cleaners. However, after many years as loyal customers, I now realize that they are not as professional as I had hoped. Trust is very important when you allow a dry cleaners to have your clothes. We had a very bad experience with alterations here and will be taking our business elsewhere due to loss of trust. Simply put, we were promised a refund but, in the end, the management took back that promise and refused a refund under the terms originally agreed upon. On top of that, we were accused of harassment, hung up on, and worse. If you are looking for a dry cleaners who are unprofessional, untrustworthy, and do not prioritize customer service, this is the place for you. My tailor recommended them to clean my wedding dress. I was hesitant because it was pretty clean but she assured me they would make it look pristine. I came to pick it up and they couldn't find the dress bag I gave it to them in. Then to my horror there were spots on the front of the dress. Like literal brown spots and off white spots. The intricate beading was also frayed away so some of the beads were loose and falling off. I cried as my wedding was 1.5 weeks away. They offered to send it back and to have their tailor fix the beading. I agreed to have them try to clean it and remove the spots they put in but not touch the beading. Two days later I got my dress and it was spotless. I had just enough time to take my dress back to my tailor to fix the beading. The original charge was $250 for just cleaning. After the whole ordeal they still quoted me the full amount. I said absolutely not and Valentina, the owner said I could have 10% off. We went back and forth for around 30min until she agreed to give me 20% discount for the errors they made with my dress. They caused me so much stress in an already stressful time. To be honest for everything they did I think I should have gotten 50% off or more. I would not recommend them especially with something as special as your wedding dress. read more

Brought in a very minimal wedding dress and was quoted 150 for a simple press. When told I would take it elsewhere for a better price we negotiated it to 100 and 10 for me light veil. After two weeks the dress was picked up and brought home to a shamefully steamed veil (Im too scared to look at the job done on the dress) when addressed I was told to I should've checked before I left and there was nothing they could do about it. We have been a long time customer at Orchard Cleaners, even before the current owner took over. Since then, we remained as loyal customers. I have never made any complaint about anything there until recently. I've been respectful and kind toward the staff throughout the years. Recently, I brought in two trousers to be hemmed. When I got there, the lady rushed through the measurements and I had a bad feeling it wasn't going to come out right. She reassured me about the alterations. When I picked it up and tried it on the next day, the cut was too high. I went back to have them fix it, but as I was explaining the issue with Tina, I felt she was giving me a hard time about it. I believe wholeheartedly it was because I had refused to help her by loaning $800 she requested in June. I thought it was weird that she would text a customer and ask to borrow money like that. It was quite bothersome and it made me uncomfortable. But even so, I continued to take my dry cleaning business there. I believe because of that incident that Tina was (Valentina) treating me differently, and in a bad way. I finally wanted to bring it to her attention. That day, I asked her if I could speak to her privately so that her sister didn't have to hear (out of respect for her privacy). She replied, "She can listen to whatever I have to say" so I expressed to her that the private text she sent me about borrowing money made me feel very uncomfortable and I believed that was the reason she changed her tone with me. When I left the place after picking up my two trousers, I wanted to talk about the conversation that didn't set right with me. She had the audacity to say how uncomfortable she felt and that I need to respect her boundaries. Can you believe that? I replied to let her know she was the one who made me uncomfortable and she crossed the boundaries when she decided to text me by asking money from a customer. She also lied and told me it was meant for another person. It was clear she knew who she was texting because of the context. She had her cousin (or auntie) take over the issue. Her name is Sera. Apparently she is the general manager. We spent almost an hour discussing my concerns. In that conversation, at the end of the phone call, she said she would provide a full refund of the cost of the two trousers plus the hemming I paid for, and I did not have to return the trousers. I even expressed the importance of not changing her mind and back peddling. She reassured me repeatedly that no matter what, she wouldn't change her mind and make sure she honored it. The following day, I get a call when I was leaving town. Sera started back peddling and broke her word! She continued to talk over me and did not let me speak. She accused me of disrespecting her because I was so frustrated with the whole situation I couldn't get a word in. Then she hung up on me. So all the communication was done through text. She began to accuse me of harassing them. Can you believe that?! I made it very clear that I did not want to have a serious conversation through text, but this so-called general manager Sera thought this was the way to handle customer service. She ignored my husband in the text as if he isn't a customer himself. It's our joint account at the dry cleaner. That's how unprofessional she is. Since she wasn't communicating, we sought to reach out to the business. All of them made up lies about being hanging up on my husband and said their batteries were low. We didn't know what the truth was anymore because of the constant lies. I believe that the family and Sera are not telling the truth to the parents, who are the owners. They obviously prefer to lose our business over policy. Their excuse is a video of me trying to be nice so I can go out of there fast because I was so uncomfortable. They also lied about the hemming because the lady who measured me didn't do it right and she did it fast. Tina even accused me not measuring it right and my response was it's not my job to measure it when I'm not the professional. The amount of inconvenience and bad customer service that put me in such a stress over the lies and disrespect. This business is run by a family and they are more concern to protect themselves than what they just put a customer through. Don't be deceived by the way they pretend to be nice. They are not about keeping their word and they are not truthful. Don't rely on what they are translating to their family members. They are not what they appeared to be. They are very good at manipulating people and pretending they care about customer service. The level of disrespect they had with a loyal customer is not worth returning back to that place. read more

Very disappointed in the service i received at this place. 2 weeks ago i dropped off my wedding dress to get pressed and clean a stain i had on it. I came recommended from the lady who did my alterations. I said i would pick up at 3pm and the lady i dropped it off with said that's perfect. Monday came around and i went to pick up my dress at 4pm and the girls can't find it. Apperantly it was their first day and they have no idea where my dress is. They can't find it based off the ticket. They call the owner and she's in an appointment and say they can drop it off to me (where i now live in Menifee and came out of my way to go to them since they were so highly recommended). I saw no, i want my dress today. This is the day it says on the ticket and I'm getting married in 5 days. They say it's not here and they can't. I continue to argue that i need my dress since I'm in the area today. They get ahold of the owner, she says it's at their Montclair location because they ran out of room in the Rancho location, and proceeds to tell me that if i came after 5pm (which is when pick ups are) the dress would have been there and been ready. Okay great- so if the original lady got the time wrong and i can't pick up till 5pm, okay annoying but whatever. Telling me they don't have my dress and can't find it is unacceptable. The press and stain looks great so job wise, they did good. Service wise, i would not recommend this place. I hope no other bride has to experience this. As we moved to Ontario my boyfriend needed a new dry cleaning place for all his work clothes. Orchard has been our number one since then. The staff is great, fast, and have always done an amazing job. A few weeks ago my boyfriend had left some clothes and gone to pick up but forgot to take some other shirts he had. As I went to take them the lady recognized me and said that my boyfriend had picked up the dry cleaning that morning. She also mentioned that since we needed to have the clothes picked up ASAP they didn't have time to redo one of his shirts that still had a sweat stain on it. I never wanted to get my work clothes dry cleaned because I wanted to find a place that was eco-friendly. I found this place, my husband dropped off 13 items and they were ready for pick up the same day. The quality was excellent and reasonably priced. When I picked them up, the owner asked me where I lived (Montclair) and he asked "and you came all the way over here?" I said yes and explained my reasoning, he pulls out a piece of paper, writes down the address and phone number of a eco-friendly dry cleaning business right down the street from my house. He says "they do the same exact thing we do here and they've been around for 35 years". I couldn't believe it, I was so happy to get this recommendation. I only been there twice, they torn my work pant on my 2nd visit. This pant I only wear few times, it's still new, I was so mad and asked them to pay for my pant, not surprising, they didn't want to take the responsibility, keep saying the pant was old. My pant was new, I bought 2 in different colors, I still wear the other one until today because I stop going to orchard dry clean , i bring my clothes to the dry cleaner next to Albertsson! I have been here a twice, thus far. I had a comforter cleaned and I had a few long summer dresses hemmed. Both trips were wonderful. The quality of their work is outstanding! My comforter came out great but I'm especially happy with the work that they did on the dresses. They took off quite a bit of material, but you can't even tell. Dresses look like they were bought that way. Very meticulous work. I appreciate it very much because I like for my clothes to look neat. Their prices are a little high but worth it for the quality of work. If you have nice pieces and you need a cleaner/tailoring that you can trust, I'd definitely recommend this business. The worst service ever! I brought in my wedding dress to get pressed , the quoted me 160$ and I agreed thinking they did a great job for a high price. I pick up the dress. My garment bag is gone. Then I have to back days later to get it, and all my papers are gone. And they can't find them. Even better? I take my dress out of the bag and it looks worse than when I brought it in. To find a place like this that I can without hesitation trust with my wardrobe is very important. They are a small mom and pop location. You will deal with the owner who will actually remember your face and the last conversation you had with her or other family members. They all seem to actually care about you as a customer and they take great care of your clothes. I have several Tommy Bahama shirts. What I like is when they come back from Orchard they have that "new smell" as if I had just bought them. Being silk, I am surprised at how they have been able to get rid of all the stains I manage to make. This is one business that I cannot truly recommend enough. I live within 2 cleaners that are less than a mile from my house. Orchard cleaners is 10 miles away and I take my clothes to them!!!! WHY? Simple. they know what they're doing. All cleaning is done IN HOUSE and think about it: When you eat fruit and vegetables, you don't want to eat the chemicals and insecticides that are sprayed on it.........so you wash them. Orchard Cleaners is AQMD approved and so therefore, no nasty residue and chemicals on your clothes. So this means....you can wear them without worry and without fear. Compare this to a dry cleaner who sends their clothes out and has them mass cleaned and has chemicals sprayed all over your clothes and then you put them on? YUK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't know about you....but I want something clean and chemical free touching my skin...........wouldn't you? I had a great chance to speak with Socorro who is the owner of the place. Very nice and down to earth as are all of the employees. I don't worry about price as much as I do about having my clothes done RIGHT. For this, I would pay a premium. This review is for two very different experiences. My first experience, I needed my wedding dress cleaned and preserved. They did it at half the price most other places were quoting me. They used a box without a plastic viewing window, which can cause yellowing to the dress, so I was happy about that. Overall, I would have given it a 5 star experience. The second time, I brought in two dresses to be altered. I tried them both on in-store and they marked areas for hemming and cutting. The first dress was to be taken in an inch on the waist and an inch off the hemline. I was quoted $10 for the hem. The second dress needed to be taken in, in the bust, waist, and straps. The first dress fit like a glove. The second dress was altered entirely too tight and is now unusable. They also charged me $20 for the hem. read more

Wow talk about great customer service. I dropped off seven dress shirts to be pressed. The female that helped me was so sincere and and caring. She told me that my shirts would possibly be ready the same day, I told her that if not Monday would be fine. I dropped off at 7am and got a call at 1:30pm saying my shirts were ready. WOW talk about amazing. I arrived at the location to pick up and the gentleman that helped me is also great and has a sense of humor. Since my claim ticket only said 1 piece he said only 1 was ready.
