The Freshii in Suterbrook village makes me feel like I am in gastown or kits however it was extremely hot and humid inside, reeking like body odour. The staff that was prepping the food order was completely covered in sweat and he kept on touching the green cleaning rag on the cutting board and then prepping someone's food which grossed me out. It look a loooong time to get my order because there was only one guy prepping the food orders - not sure what the other two staff were doing in the back. I don't mind waiting for my food however my order was disgusting. The khao san burrito was way too soggy despite that their burritos are grilled. Nice to see forward thinking (fully compostable containers / utensils?) and deliberately generous plant based food. Obviously, this means the menu carries lots of Veg/an options which is amazing in this quick serve format. They rely on a lot of rice and quinoa, so this will also appeal to those aiming for Gluten Free or Reduced eats. With all this going for it, Freshii stumbles into a very traditional Veg/an trope, that this style of food is bland. No matter what you get, the sauces are afterthoughts and this preparation method doesn't deliver enough of the goods. They need to cook the sauces into the meals or marinate the products previous to order to create depth, delicious delicious flavour depth. The bowls, wraps or basically whatever else also needs more robust salting and unfortunately when I get home I always find myself dousing the food in hot sauce...to be fair I haven't tried the soups. Oh and the rice noodles are tasteless, wallpaper pedestrian. I know that sounds harsh, but maybe someone important will read this and treat the menu to a romp around the flavour dance floor. Don't get me wrong, I'd 100% rather eat here then any burger joint or sub shop. In saying this though, I could easily make any of this food at home, cheaper and in greater quantity. read more

Not a bad option for a healthy lunch with fresh ingredients. I've been here three times so far and each time the staff were friendly and helpful with their menu. I got the buddha's satay which comes packed full with rice noodles and vegetables. There isn't an overwhelming amount of protein compared to the rest of the ingredients but I'd estimate about 5 oz or so. The rice noodles are a bit hard like they weren't cooked all the way so I thought maybe it was a one time off day. The second time I got the satay, the noodles were still a bit hard. Their tofu is marinated with a lightly sweetened sauce which is delicious and not overdone. I came here again today and tried their spicy lemongrass soup with rice noodles (I don't really learn my lesson) thinking third time's the charm. The soup softens the noodles a bit but it definitely isn't the soft and springy texture that you'd expect. The soup could use some salt but is light and doesn't make you feel sluggish after eating. Obviously, I have a thing about their rice noodles but overall I like the food and you get good portions with solid ingredients. read more

I've never had Freshii before, but understand it's a chain of 'healthy fast food,' so thought I'd give it a try for a quick lunch last week. The menu looked promising and I ended up selecting a noodle bowl with tofu for lunch. While it was very taste, I found that there weren't nearly enough vegetables OR tofu in my dish and the peanut sauce tasted just like pre-packaged grocery store fare. I probably could have made the same, with more of the tasty bits, for less at home. If you're in a rush and need something healthy, it's not a bad option but you're just as likely to get something healthful and delicious at Thrifty's around the corner. read more

Nailed it! Love the texmex wraps. The ingredients are fresh and the juices are excellent. This is what this area needed for a restaurant as its unique and healthy. I have only tried a few of their menu items so not sure what the salads are like however I tried the Buddha bowl and really liked that one as well. The staff that work here are really friendly, always greeting you with a smile and the food is ready within 10 minutes which is nice. Parking can be a little bit of a drag, but other than that no complaints. read more

Popped in here because I was hitting up a late Orange Theory class and was too tired to cook. The name Freshii, lead me to believe it would be a decent place to get something fresh, borderline healthy, and vegan. No one knew what was in any of their dressings/ sauces so couldn't tell me if anything was actually vegan or not. I asked if they could suggest something and she just replied with "uhhhhhh not really". I was just going to leave but someone else came up and pulled out a binder which apparently has the ingredients of stuff and she suggested a sauce that would be fine. Overall, it was bland and my fiance found his wrap to be bland as well. So between the blank stares, not knowing what's actually in their food, and the bland taste this place will be a hard pass for me in the future. read more

We go to this location on a regular basis and the girls are always friendly and ready to help. I like the baja burrito with tofu and the soups. I recommend this place for a healthy lunch. read more

If you're looking for a healthy fast food restaurant then Freshii is the place to be. I am in love with the Fiesta wrap, I usually add Kale & Chicken to it! Fresh ingredients, decent prices, nothing deep fried. It's a great change from all the other unhealthy fast food chains around. I heard its the fastest growing fast food chain in the world. Oh.. I was in the store today as I have always liked the food from Freshii. Problem was, the Supervisor was being very rude to her staff, even though there were customers in the store. Not only the employees looked very embarrassed, I myself was embarrassed for them. I thought it was just really unprofessional, and unnecessary. I've also noticed that over the last six months, the turnover for employees have been high. No wonder! It used to be nice having familiar faces in there. read more

Meh. I like the location downtown as it has been a fast healthy option for me at work, so took hubby to this new location for a quick dinner salad. The ingredients were skimpy and underwhelming. We needed more protein when we got home. Not terrible, just not worth the price and I can whip up a far better salad from my fridge. read more

As soon as you walk into the store it smells like dying cow. The staff doesn't know how to deal with customer service properly. The manager likes to think she's running a trough full of pigs. I ordered the Buddha Satay and it consisted of 2 pieces of broccoli, 3 shreds of carrots, 3 shreds of cabbage and the noodles were raw.. oh and if you ask for an add on of edamame, don't expect any more than 2 beans. read more

I'm have been really disappointed the last few times i went there. I use to order the Buddha bowls all the time and there was massive amounts of vegetables and lots of sauce however now they are very stingy with the vegetables. I just got my last bowl i won't go there again. Total of two broccoli pieces and a few shredded carrot and it is so dry that i think they forgot to put the sauce on. I had such a HORRIBLE experience there. They treat customers extremely poorly. God forbid you find a hair in your food, they will point the finger on you and act as if your lying which is exactly what the store manager Monica Harms at the port moody location did. To make matters worse, managers and the president of the company also don't handle customer complaints well. I had 2 other incidents where I wasn't aware that Freshii's standards is to cut apples very thin that you hardly can see it, so I thought they forgot the apples in the Market salad, so I called to say that the salad had no apples. The 2nd time I called, the girl explained to me that they cut the apples thin so I said okay I wasn't aware. One time they forgot to add tofu and I did not even bother to complain. I ask to get a call back from the guy in charge. And he sends me an email accusing me of having 5-10 complaints. Not sure where that all came from. He also accused me of yelling which definitely did not happen. All this accusation and no phone call back to handle a customer complaint the proper way. Also, I would like to point out that I am very aware of mistakes being made but I was upset that the store manager Monica Harms accused me of lying.
