I was eager to love the salmon poke bowl I got from Poke Poke. Ingredients were fresh, staff were nice, and service didn't take too long. Location is also fantastic, right next to a lot of other Asian restaurants and in a pretty popular area in Mississauga. The shop is small but the ordering area is a bit cramped, flush against the wall. It wasn't that busy when I went, so that wasn't a huge issue. Pricing is about the same as everywhere else you can get poke, but portions run small. The salmon was good in terms of flavour - I love it when places marinate the salmon because it adds to the flavour of the bowl - but there wasn't a lot of it and I hit the bottom of the bowl with only rice and a bit of veggies left over. Biggest issue for me was sauce - I asked for extra (unagi and shichimi, which were solid) and got what I would consider regular at best. Dry poke is sad and ruins otherwise a fantastic meal. I was informed at the beginning that they are planning on redoing the front of the store into a seating area so that should be coming soon.
