Schnitzel with mushroom $15.99
Jocelyn C.

Great Polish restaurant right across from Starsky! My parents ordered the Polish platter (schnitzel, cabbage rolls, perogies, etc.), I had the Hungarian Pancake (crispy potatoe pancake coveted with chunks of beef and gravy) and my husband ordered the schnitzel with mushrooms. The portions are HUGE and every entree comes with 3 side salads (carrot salad, beet salad and coleslaw) and potatoes, rice or fries (if the dish doesn't already contain a carb). The food arrived piping hot and tastes authentic and delicious - just as good as the dishes from Poland! We went on a Sunday at 5:00, but because they were understaffed, there was a bit of a wait to place our order and to get the bill, though the food did arrive promptly after the order was placed. Other than that, everything was great. A must-try if you're in the Dixie and Dundas area!

Another location that is so easy to drive by without knowing it was ever there, located in a small plaza off of Dundas st E and Universal Dr this hidden gem has been a favorite of mine for a while. It's easy to forget about this place as the location is so reclusive but it does come with a private lot for parking and we all know how happy that makes me!! YAY! This restaurant specializes in European Cuisine and is large enough to handle big parties and events which they often hold like Fri and Sat where there is DJ's and live music present. A large layout with a full dance floor offers a lot of space to move and dine in comfort that being said the decor is a little dark and dreary for my taste which is mostly because of the lack of windows however it is not the worst I have seen either. Service here I do find inconsistant though, it can be absolutely amazing at times where other times it can be lacking significantly so it is a bit of a gamble. However there has never been a time that I had to wait for a table and the food service is fast and efficient so it does make up for the less then desireable service you can occassionally recieve. The food is traditional and delicious!! The portions are huge and the quality of the food is good and consistant as well; they have a Borscht soup that is literally to DIE FOR! No joke it is hands down the best I have EVER tasted and I am part Russian! Prices are competitive too considering the portion size your recieving and the menu offers a large variety but if your looking for light and healthy food this may not be your best option as their meals tend to be a bit heavier offering a lot of deep fried breaded schnitzels and things like that. They have a full bar with a pretty good selection of wine and beer, I will admit I mostly come for the soup here and the odd dinner so I cannot really comment on the drinks but I have not heard any complaints from anyone I know that goes there to have a few drinks with friends. If you enjoy hearty, traditional European cuisine and love a good bowl of Borscht then head over to Orbit and dine without the worry of your car getting towed ;)

There was plenty of wait staff on site but communication between staff was quite poor. No one ever came by to see if we needed anything or to ask if we wanted additional drinks or the like. So we found ourselves having to constantly hail wait staff. A large portion of the weekend buffet was seafood. You would expect that when serving lobster and crab the tableware would include for seafood crackers. This is not the case. I asked for seafood crackers from two different wait staff and was advised they didn't have any. So I went to the matre d' and asked, she went into the back and brought some out for our table. If you serving lobster and crab, the restaurant should either provide crackers or pre- cut the claws ready to eat. With regard to the food, I would have thought they would have served some rolls or bread but we had to ask for this special. As well, most all the food was cold. So all in all, I expected more but a 3 star rating is about all I would give.

Not sure who decided that was a good idea. Interesting because they did come around to tell us about their wine options. The quantity and variety of the buffet was fine, efficiency quite good and wait staff were all kind, however the quality of the offerings was lacking. I would put the actual food part of the meal in the mediocre category.

The modern, chic decor sets a wonderful ambiance, and the service was immediate and welcoming. The food was spectacular from start to finish. We started with fresh, warm bread, followed by a flavorful seafood gumbo loaded with meat, and a generous portion of two lightly breaded crab cakes. For our mains, the 10oz ribeye and 8oz tenderloin were seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection--compliments to the chef! They came with a lovely side of baby potatoes and vegetables. We capped off a perfect meal with a warm pecan tart and ice cream. I highly recommend coming here. We noticed they have a pizza oven and plan to add pizza to the menu soon; we already can't wait for our next visit to try it out! Ps parking wise, the restaurant is just off a residential neighborhood and parking is free. No need to pay for any parking, just remember to read signs.

There are specials that change weekly. The interior is decorated with New Orleans memorabilia, medium lit, cozy (not large), with jazz music in the background. Service was attentive and friendly. They operated for 30 years at their old location. This location soft-opened on 2026-02-12. We came on 2026-02-25 for dinner. There were still some furnishings to complete (there were unforeseen delays). They kept the same menu offerings but it will be expanded within a month. We ordered the following: 1. Citra Terre D'Abruzzo Pinot Grigio - Italy (glass $14.95). 2. Coke. 3. Crab Cakes ($19.95). 4. New Orleans Shrimp Cocktail ($19.95). 5. Jambalaya Aranchini (weekly special). 6. Blackened Lamb Chops (weekly special). 7. New Orleans Fisherman's Plate ($39.95). 8. Pecan Pie warmed with Ice Cream ($14.95). 9. Bananas Foster ($14.95). 10. Beignet ($14.95). Every dish had an excellent presentation. We spent a lot of time taking photos and videos. What did you expect from me?! We loved all the dishes! The portions were large! There are more staff than in the previous location, allowing the service to be excellent. They tend to have many loyal and returning customers. Every table starts with freshly baked bread and butter. The bread was so fresh! The three appetizers tasted good. They each had a little kick due to creole cuisine. I loved the shrimp the most. The Blackened Lamb Chops was perfectly cooked. Each of the four pieces were very tender, accompanied by a delicious sauce. The dish had some very nicely cooked seasonal vegetables: roasted potatoes, a red pepper, string beans, a broccoli, and a carrot. This dish will be put into their regular menu in the near future. The New Orleans Fisherman's Plate is great if you want a little sampling of their seafood: Blackened Fish, Cajun Calamari, and Coconut Beer Shrimp. It also comes with rice and seasonal vegetables. The fish was so good! We brought some home for my mom and she really loved it. The Coconut Beer Shrimp was on top of a Orange Marmalade Sauce, which is really liked. The three desserts looked really good and tasted good. I loved the pecan pie the most. They can split dishes in half in the kitchen and serve them on two dishes for two people to share. The restaurant uses fresh seasonal ingredients and spices to create authentic Creole and Cajun tastes. Everything is made in-house except for bread and butter. In the near future, their bread will be made in-house too. Currently, there is only indoor dining but they are looking into the possibility of sidewalk outdoor dining. Mike Djurdjevic runs the front of the house while his wife, Mira Djurdjevic, operates the kitchen. Their son, Marko, also helps in the front of the house. There is a large pizza oven at the back of the restaurant. They will be introducing creole pizza in the near future. There is a separate large room for events, parties, etc. This room will be ready in the near future. They also do catering. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom, which is also wheelchair accessible, and one female washroom. Thrre is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2026-037

We started with the escargot, which was tender and very well prepared. I also loved that they allow the caesar salad to be split onto two plates. Even half a portion was more than enough for one person. I ordered a mixed drink, and I thought it was a nice touch that they brought the juice and alcohol separately so I could mix it to my liking. My partner enjoyed his old fashioned as well as a whiskey. For dinner, I had the filet mignon, which was cooked to perfection exactly as I requested, medium rare. The plating was simple, but the steak itself was excellent. My partner had the prime rib, and we both had baked potatoes. They brought out my tiramisu with a candle. All in all, it was a great birthday meal. The waiters were friendly, conversational, and attentive. What really stood out to me was the old-world charm of the restaurant. The chandeliers and stained glass windows created such a beautiful, classic atmosphere that you just don't see very often anymore. I also loved hearing that many of the staff have been there for more than a decade. That kind of longevity says a lot about the restaurant. A wonderful experience, and definitely a place I'd enjoy returning to.

But somehow didn't work out and ended up at other spots in the GTA. We finally made it here and it was not a bad overall experience. We saw a lot of tourists here, which was surprising. We were also expecting a more relaxed, fine dining sort of a vibe since the online menu looked like it. But when we made it to the restaurant, it was a very casual diner sort of atmosphere. We went on a busy Sunday so it did take us a while to find parking. The restaurant entrance faces the public parking lot so you can park and walk across the street. We got to the restaurant and were late by 30 minutes, but lunch time had already passed so there were plenty of tables available and we asked to sit in their covered patio area, which was right by the water. After being seated we ordered drinks, I got the white sangria while my friend got the red. Both were really delicious well-made drinks. For appetizers we got coconut shrimp which unfortunately was just 4 pieces, we wish there were more! We also got the arugula salad which was great! For mains, my friend got the fish tacos which tasted and smelled very fishy. She had to send them back and get fish n chips instead (no pictures). The fish and chips were a lot better she said. I ordered the blackened catfish which tasted good but not great. There were some wet uncooked spots in the fish. The rice and side veggies were also so-so without any flavors to them. Overall the food was a hit or a miss, some items were good, others not so much. But the service was pretty good, friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back here next for drinks and nibbles, not for the entrees.

Service & Atmosphere: Five Stars The service here was truly exceptional... super quick, genuinely friendly, and so very kind. From seating to check out, the staff was attentive and really made the experience a pleasure. The interior is decorated well with a fun, slightly nautical vibe, but my absolute favorite feature was the artistic touch on the way to the restroom. There are these vibrant wall paintings that are clearly designed to be photo ops, and I loved that they encouraged patrons to snap a picture. It's those little details that really elevate the atmosphere! The Captain's Boil: Good, but Different Now, to the food. Full disclosure: I lived in Georgia for 12 years, and nothing is ever going to beat a seasoned, authentic Florida crab boil in my mind. However, this boil is pretty darn good in its own right. I went with the Non-Spicy Captain Boil (which is a mixed seafood option) and loaded it up with lobster, potatoes, and an egg. The seasoning was flavorful and well-balanced, though it leaned a little less toward the heavy Cajun spice blend I'm used to. It delivered a scrumptiously satisfying seafood experience. Everything was cooked perfectly the 1.5lb lobster was tender, and the potatoes soaked up the sauce so very nicely. I would definitely go back the next time I'm craving a seafood boil.
