As many of you probably know by now, mac and cheese is my all time favourite. I saw that they had it as a side dish for $2 so had to try it. I wasn't really feeling a sandwich (though the pulled pork looked really good), so I opted for the pulled pork nachos. They nachos were $8 and a pop was $1. When I ordered, the guy who took my order said "why don't we make it a combo" and only charged me $10. I love when places do that! Anyway, the nachos were perfectly cheesy, and were topped with sour cream and pico de gallo (one of my fave things in the world). It was fresh and home made. The absolute best was the pulled pork. It was so deliciously juicy and was coated with a tangy BBQ sauce - not too saucy though! I would get this again for sure. The mac and cheese was just as good. They use the spiral noodles which are always fun. It's not too too cheesy, but has some good herbs and spices that make up for it. It has a bit of a kick too. Just a slight bit of heat. I would have liked a bit more, but I'm not going to lie, with the mac and cheese and nachos I was stuffed and had to bring some more. And yes, it was just as good heated up later. I've been in Hamilton for work this past week too and have walked by Jackson Square everyday hoping the food truck would be there. Our drink order came quickly along with fresh rye bread and real butter. We ordered the Small Vienna Schnitzel and it certainly wasn't small - filled the plate. We substituted Spaetzle for potatoes and they were prepared the true German way - hand cut and lightly fried - a very generous portion, too. I had a side order of Red Cabbage and it was very tasty - took most of it home. I still highly recommend this restaurant for real German food. The menu has lots of popular items on it.
