I've been going here for years and have always loved the food and local art. Unfortunately, the owner has become more and more odd over the years (ex: looking at women in ways that make them feel excessively uncomfortable and then following us outside and continuing to stare at our bodies intently). During the height of COVID they wore masks and cut holes in them at the mouth and nose to 'fight the system.' I have a hard time trusting them after that. I had the hulk and it was not what I was expecting. I frequently order the apples and greens from Jamba Juice, however, this drink is ultra creamy and satisfying, yet so smooth and filling. I would LOVE to live closer just to have one of these drinks every morning. The list of smoothie and food options is incredible!! There are so many yummy options to choose from, it was hard to make a decision. Friendly. From the cashiers to the involved owner, this place is incredibly kind. Honestly surprised at all the 5-star reviews for this place. I wouldn't recommend this place. First of all, the interior is pretty beat up and badly in need of a renovation, or at least a fresh coat of paint. There are massive flat screens on the walls, a strange assortment of photography, and the tables are crowded together. In a dark corner in the back is a children's play area full of broken toys and sagging, stained couches. The drinks are fine, but the food is not particularly good. Additionally, the prices are slightly high for Chico, and more in line of what you would fine at a hipster cafe downtown rather than a beat-up joint next to a gas station. $5 for a Chai latte? I love getting a huge salad from here. Dressing on the side, and you can eat it for two meals.

My main complaint is the price and the fact that they don't read any of the special instructions you leave on the Door Dash menu. On the price everything is listed in the plural form but you only get one. For example their street tacos are 8.25 and they are listed as Tacos, not Taco. So of course at that price you assume you are getting more than 1. Cookies, same thing. It's 4.25 for one cookie even though it's listed as Cookies on the menu. Back to the one street taco for 8.25. If you want two street tacos it'll cost ya 16.50. And don't bother asking for sour cream in the special instructions because they won't read that. Also, on their Chai tea I ordered it with a double shot but put in the special instructions I did not want coffee in my Chai but I wanted an extra strong chai latte. I only clicked on the double shot because I was trying to pay for the extra chai. Most stores on Door Dash opt out of taking special instructions if they aren't going to read them. When a store allows you to leave special instructions it makes your customers believe you are interested in customizing your order. In this particular case I wouldn't have ordered 16.50 for two street tacos if I knew there was no sour cream and I also wouldn't have ordered a 9.00 chai tea if I knew it was going to have coffee in it. You do the same misleading pricing thing with your cinnamon rolls. It's not two cinnamon rolls, it's one. I have to think I'm not the only one who has ever noticed this and pointed it out to you. The fact that it's still like this confirms my initial assumption, that you do this on purpose to justify your ridiculous pricing. And save it about the tacos being rib eye so it's reasonable to charge that for them. All these taco trucks that sell them for 2.00 with sour cream aren't selling dog meat tacos. You are just into gouging your customers and not giving a rats a** about any special instructions you clearly accept but don't read. So so far 26 dollars of my 46 dollar order has been inedible. I threw the nasty drink out and gave the tacos away. 26 dollars for a drink and two street tacos and you failed to follow instructions on both. Your menu and pricing is misleading. You can cry inflation, Biden (although I seriously doubt you'll be that honest) or whatever about your pricing but it looks like you are price gouging. My choice, I don't have to eat there if I don't like it. Except I didn't eat there- because you can't follow simple instructions for your overpriced food. No thanks. I have a perfectly good toilet I can flush my money down. Right along with the stale cinnamon roll. read more

I really liked the concept of choosing what item(s) you'd like and how you like it prepared. All the papers to do so seems a little cluttered so...hmm. Anyway I choose a wrap and was pleased with the choices available. I also ordered a juice. The wrap was absolutely delicious, filling, and nicely made. My juice was refreshing. The reason I didn't give 5 stars was due to the bathroom being grungy, like that of a gas station. The Cook never apologized and seemed a bit irritated about re making the sandwich, even though my order was clearly marked on the paper and it was his mistake. At least the cashier was apologetic. Mediocre food and small portion for $16. Not sure what the hype is about this place (tried it twice and was hoping second time would be a better experience). One of the few places with a big selection of meat and meatless options. Not fancy but everything is healthy and fresh as the name implies. I usually get a salad or a veggie burger wrapped in lettuce in place of a bun. When you come in there is a big chalkboard menu but you'll have an easier time if you grab a paper order form and decide that way. It's way less overwhelming.
