    Sausage and Cheese Kolache
    Michael H.

I had the sausage and cheese kolache and enjoyed it. I appreciated that the size of the meat was bigger than usual and it avoided that gummy texture that old kolaches sometimes get when you microwave them. The service was friendly but also to the point and efficient. Good mix of the two. It's definitely meant for taking your stuff and leaving but if you're determined to eat inside there is one table in the corner you can sit at.

Sometimes simple is best. The donuts here are exactly what you'd expect from the not so fancy donut shop like voodoo or gourdoughs. What makes this place special are the business owners. They are super friendly, always happy, and conscious of how busy it is. Sometimes you might get complimentary donut holes if you have to wait too long . They also have kolaches, croissants, and biscuits. No veggie options for these so be prepared to only have donuts if you don't eat meat. If you have little ones you might want to go earlier in the morning as they can run out of donuts with sprinkles on them. Overall this is my go to donut shop when the family needs a bit of a sugar rush on the weekend!

Best Apple fritter I've ever had! The crispy top, sweet & cinnamon.... Already craving another!

What a hidden gem! The kolaches are so airy and perfect for a grab-and-go breakfast. However, the real star was the Apple fritter!

Very clean and nice inside, kolaches are soft, tasty and fresh. It's very convenient to have small shop like this around. Good thing they open at 5 am.

I have been here over a dozen times. It's a great place for morning food!! Friendly and prompt service. They remember their regulars for sure. Always hot when I leave and fresh! The sandwiches are the absolute best!! The kolaches are amazing and soft!! Great selection of breakfast items. They even have tacos!

Nice intimate space with a few games and seating. I ordered the King Cake roll in honor of Mardi Gras. This roll is only there for a limited time. It was filled with cream cheese and topped with sugar sprinkles. Served nice and warm and literally melts in your mouth. I will say there was a bit too much cream cheese for my liking but I navigated around it. The roll is a decent sized and the fact that I nearly ate it all in one day lets you know how good it was.

Since their menu leans…read moretoward breakfast-style items, we planned to go in the morning, but surprisingly, they don't open until 11am. It seems like they position their rolls more as a dessert, which isn't a dealbreaker. We came back later that afternoon after some meetings. The shop itself is simple and cute, with a wide variety of rolls to choose from. Honestly, it's hard not to want one of everything. We ended up ordering six, and I have to say, the rolls were delicious. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food. We were greeted, but it felt cold and unwelcoming. After that, we were mostly ignored and ended up ordering through the touchscreen. There was a sign suggesting customers "ask about the secret menu," so I did. Instead of responding, she silently placed a paper on the counter and moved on. The interaction felt dismissive, like we were more of an inconvenience than paying customers. It's disappointing because the rolls really were great, but the service left a bad impression. They really live up to the name CRANKY granny's! As much as we enjoyed the food, the overall experience makes it hard to justify coming back.

Located in the corner of the plaza (next to the grocery store). Cute little bakery with a sweet older lady who speaks zero English but was nonetheless extremely welcoming and kind. She even gave my toddler a complimentary macaron. Sweet. I am usually pretty adventurous with trying new pastries/snacks and it generally works out well. Unfortunately, I did not like most of the things we took home that day (my husband agreed). A taro egg ball thing -- not fans. A gelatinous rice blob inside a bamboo leaf (believe it's called Zongzi) -- also didn't work for us. Finally, the beef puff (which seemed like a safe bet) fell short of expectations. It's my fault -- I ignored that part that said "beef floss." It had a stringy/processed texture that I just didn't like. I just wasn't a fan of the flavors/textures -- but obviously that's subjective. I did enjoy the garlic bread we also thankfully bought -- it was soft and flavorful. If you're not familiar with the foods, I'd recommend making sure you get a few "safe" items like the cream bread or garlic bread. Ultimately, even though I wasn't crazy about most of what I tried, it was a cute little shop with a nice lady running it.

While I love the ambiance, staff and selection, I was a disappointed with the cute, filled cake I bought. I've done a lot of baking and have some experience with different versions of buttercream frosting, and the frosting on my cake tasted like it was made mostly with shortening rather than butter. I know to get a white white frosting, shortening will often be mixed with butter, but the flavor should still be good, and this just wasn't tasty like I was expecting for a cake at the price that I paid. I will try them again for other items from the cafe, or cookies etc, but not another filled cake.

Immediately decided to come here for my daughter's birthday cake. I recently tried and failed at curating a beautiful but disgusting cake from a different bakery so I did not want to mess this one up! I called and the owner was very upfront about flavors, pricing, decor and overall cake chemistry, this transparency is so important! We ended up getting something simple but she truly delivered! Flavor profile was insane. Cake was soft and melt in your mouth delicious. When I say I hateeeeee buttercream with a passion and prefer whipped icing - primarily based on the fact that everyone likes buttercream and store bought versions are just gross to me - I was hesitant to try this one but BAYBEEEEEE. Stress no more. The flavor on this cake was definitely made with love and thats apparent in the service, delivery and overall preparation. Love love love and highly recommend you come here for special occasion based treats!! Well done team
