I went here with a party of 3 and we were seated quickly, but were waiting over 15 minutes for a server. We weren't even given any water while we waited and watched other tables get seated and get their drinks, we were getting very frustrated and left. On our way out the hostess made a rude comment to us which certainly didn't add to our experience. My food was "meh." My wild salmon was drastically over cooked to the point I found it inedible. The creamy pesto pasta was good, but it was swimming in undercooked mushrooms and onions. The service was good and the bruschetta was delicious! read more

The first time we ate here in July it was all so delicious. Yet, two months later, we splurged on dinner for six, and three of us got the chicken parm. Mine was good, the other two were rubbery, and gamey. Since my sixteen year old son was one of the unfortunate recipients of the old chicken, he didn't say an.ything, thinking it may just be him. My husband thought the same thing until he was half way through it, and finally asked for a bite of mine. After that, he realized his really was lousy! After inquiring around the table, my son said his was gross. We told the chef, who seemed insulted, as he offered no apology and begrudgingly took $8.50 off of our $160 bill. Worst part is, we were traveling, and our son got up in the middle of the night cramping badly, and spent the night (maybe ten times) and a lot of the next day on the pot. My husband had stomach cramps and a bit of the trots, but not as bad. When we told the restaurant, they were very apathetic, and kept putting us off. They were not courteous or willing to make it right, in a professional and sorry manner. The Health Dept. should spot check them, as they told me they sold chicken all night. We were late diners, so, I suppose we got the bottom of the bowl ( of raw chicken)? ...not okay. We will not eat there again, and all of our friends and family in Livingston and Bozeman will be told how horribly we were treated. Sorry - Fresco - you had more than ample opportunity to make it right and you didn't. So tell me, who wants to pay good money to get sick? read more

This place is hidden away, but it seems like it doesn't belong in Bozeman (because the food is actually quite good). The pasta sauce is the perfect balance of flavors, not too sour or bitter like many restaurants, and the wine pairings are well informed. Truly authentic and beautiful dishes. read more

Oh man, finally giving this place a try last night was an incredible treat to my girlfriend and myself. First off, the service was impeccable. Our server Alex was on point and made us feel right at home! The host or manager or owner was really kind upon us entering and leaving the restaurant and I could tell he genuinely enjoyed his job. The food was to die for. I consider myself a pretty big foodie (like every other Yelp user right ha?) and last night's meal did not have a single dish that I thought was mediocre. Everything was cooked perfectly. I definitely think that it being a smaller establishment has a lot to do with that because they can pour more heart, soul, and quality into the food instead of catering to the masses at larger restaurants. We ordered the mussels (which were huge!) and delicious in the sauce along with bruschetta that was pretty damn good. For main courses, we got cannelloni and the lamb burger. My girlfriend loved the cannelloni and as for the lamb burger...best lamb dish I've had in my life. Bread was super fresh on it and I ate the whole thing even though I was stuffed half way through (couldnt let go to waste). The meat was juicy and cooked perfectly to my liking (medium rare). Only thing I didn't like was that we didn't have an extra stomach on hand to try their dessert. I highly recommend giving this place a try! read more

Focus is on pasta dishes with a limited wine selection and two draft beer choices. Our server was knowledgeable, polite and prompt. We will be going back again. read more

I wish there were more stars to give! The restaurant is amazing. Been to Bozeman several times wish I had discovered this place sooner. The food, atmosphere, and service were all impeccable. Everyone in our party ordered different dishes and we literally just passed the food around. EVERYTHING was delicious from the beginning to the end. I have been to Fresco many times before but had my first unpleasant experience today. From the moment my girlfriend's and I walked in to take advantage of their great happy hour we we're put off. After a quick snide comment from our host we were informed by our server that appetizers and wine by the glass are 50% off for the next 30 minutes. We ordered our first round and three appetizers (since they were so cheap, why not?) Once our first round was finished we we're ready to order a second glass. Our server met us with some sass and an eye roll when we decided to get a different glass of wine from our first round... Wierd. Finally when our bill came, appetizers we're FULL price and when we asked our waitress she insisted that was the half price. After she was encouraged to check the menu she corrected her earlier statement to "appetizers are 50 cents off during happy hour" . All established restaurants I have ever visited where I have been misinformed regarding price, the resteraunt has absorbed the overage. We weren't offered so much as a sincere apology. I sincerely hope that Fresco reevaluates their customer service policy. read more

Went to Fresco's with my wife on a Saturday around 6:30pm, was met by a hostess with attitude for not having a reservation, but was told we could sit out on the patio which is what I wanted. After being seated our waiter took our drink order, when he returned with drinks we ordered a pound of mussels for an appetizer and two dinner entrees, everyone working including the guy filling water glasses seemed to have attitude and were miserable. After the salads hit the table we were served the entrees, I asked what happened to the mussels appetizer, by the look on his face I could tell he never put it in, when he came back he blamed it on the kitchen, not even a convincing lie, pathetic. I will say the entrees were actually ok, it's everyone working here that is the problem. My advice, if you hate your job, find one you like, but don't make the paying public pay for your lack of caring. read more

My wife and I went to this place for the first and only time a couple of weeks ago. We went early on a wednesday night and it was pretty busy. Good sign, right? We put our name in and dude said it would be about 20 and that he'll text us. They have a really nice little patio and it was a gorgeous evening but they were not seating out there. Odd but no big deal. We went a couple doors down to taproom for a beer. Great service at this taproom place by the way, as we had someone actually walk up to us to take our beer order while we stood and waited at a packed bar, but I digress. 20 minutes go by. 30 minutes go by, no big deal, we're on the patio having fun. 40 minutes go by and no text so we walk back over to see what's up. No apology whatsoever and I really felt like the guy had no intention of actually texting us. He just says, "Okay it'll be a few more minutes." Five minutes later we get seated... at the bar. Not a big deal, we're cool with sitting at bars but generally we are told that's going to be the case when we put our name in. We sit down and the girl behind the bar, right in front of us doesn't even acknowledge the fact that we're there. She finishes what she's doing and just walks away. Eventually another seemingly irritated girl comes to get our drink order. 0 for 3 on the service. At least the food will be good, right? We started with the Croute aux Fromage. Obnoxiously named given what we were served. Mediocre prosciutto on mediocre bread and cheese but at 6 bucks, at least the price is right. We'd have happily paid 10+ for a proper version of this dish. I ordered the ravioli and I can honestly say that I've had frozen, store bought garbage that was almost on par. Very bland and if the sauce wasn't out of a jar or can, their recipe is off of the back of a jar or can. My wife had the Spaghetti Bolognese which was somehow even more disappointing. Again, very bland and the flavor that was there was just... off. I will say that the espresso was good. I'm not normally the type to bitch, but when both service and food are really bad it's very difficult not to. Just go to Blackbird or Blacksmith or Olive Garden. read more

This place was amazing. Went here for the first time, and my husband and I had the best meal we've had in Bozeman. Our dinners were cooked perfectly, the wine was delicious and our waitress was great. The tiramisu we received from the staff for our anniversary was an unexpected and delightful end to a perfect meal. Can't wait to return again! read more
