This salon has some of the worst customer service I have ever received. They don't do quality work, they won't fix their mistakes, and they don't honor their scheduled appointments. French Nail has really good prices, is a very clean nail salon, and they are very friendly here. They will always get me in at a moment's notice. I like the variety of different procedures they offer and they're always in a good mood and are ready to serve me. A lot of places in the Metro Seattle area will rush through your appointment and not make you feel taken care of, but French Nail is VERY attentive to your needs. I will always come back again and again to get my nails done here instead of other places. They give professional, pretty and excellent service. Well done!!! A+ rating in my opinion. read more

Really poor service!!! The women doing nails were irritated that they were so busy that day and some of them were being pretty rude. The woman doing my nails actually told me with a laugh that no one wanted any customers that day and it was annoying to them that they were so busy. Can you say, awkward?? After a moment of silence not knowing what to say to that I replied, "Ah, great. Nice to know." She also did a really slow, sloppy job on my nails. She kept stopping to talk to her co-workers, answer the phone, check on things in the back. Besides not speaking much English and shouting out one or two word commands to their clients to let them know they were ready for them, where to sit and what to do, they constantly spoke among themselves, then would look at various clients and break into laughter. It didn't happen to me but I saw them doing it the whole time I was there. It was so rude! That really isn't the experience I want when I get my nails done. I won't go back or recommend this place to anyone. read more

Nice salon, and Lucy does my acrylic nails beautifully. I prefer a natural look, which some salons seem to struggle with, but here they turn out perfectly. I've had a pedicure here, too, and it was gentle and comfortable. Prices are very reasonable, and service is quick. Extremely happy with the services I received! I got a shellac and pedicure and both turned out great. Even without appointments, they were able to accommodate me and two of my friends. I would have given five stars but the way my previous shellac was removed made me nervous. Instead of a "soak off" my old shellac was scraped away....that cannot be good for nails (though anything to do with shellac never is). Despite this, I will be back! read more

Got a pedicure, walked in. I was instantly seated. It didn't smell chemically like some nail places. They offer manis, pedis, paraffin mani-pedi, opi mani-pedi, and detox pedi. Also acrylics, gel, uv gel, and waxing. It's pretty nice inside, the pedicure chairs are fancy, just be warned they have a ball that pokes you in a strange spot(this is the massage chairs) (could be butt crack, or the no no area depending on your body) pricing is average to slightly higher. They were patient with me while I took my big work boots off, and picked a color. read more

very rude to me.. i wanted to get pretty long acrylic nails with french tips and the polish was very uneven and had air bubbles in it.. while doing my nails she was huffing and puffing which made me feel uncomfortable. if u wanna waste money on mediocre nails and feel on the spot by ur nail tech this is the place for you!!! read more

I've been a regular and very happy customer of this salon until recently. My feet were still bleeding and my polish smeared days later after my recent pedicure by a stylist I had never had before (I won't name her). Like another reviewer, I was so envious to see my husband getting a nice, comforting leg massage next too me, while my pedicurist was haphazard, rushed and left my feet bleeding! Lucy is a true magician of her nail artistry, never failing to surprise me with her manicure and pedicure services. Every time I go, she is always nice and accommodating to my requests. I LOVE this place!!! I haven't had fake nails since probably high school, tried out another salon in the area, and though they were very sweet the quality of the nails were awful. The color was cracked within 2 days and nails were falling off left and right within 3-4 days. I almost gave up on getting them re done but decided to give it one more go and I'm so glad I did. I should have just gone here in the first place considering they are about two blocks from my apartment. Anyway, they applied a gorgeous set of "powder gel" nails that have looked flawless since. I'm actually about a week and a half behind on getting a fill and though the color has finally worn off a bit, the nails are still intact! Yay! Also-the customer service was excellent! All of the ladies, including the one who did my nails were super friendly and nice. I will never go back, NEVER. I had a gift certificate so my manicure was paid for, and I still almost walked out within the first 2 minutes of arriving because I was treated so poorly. From the moment I walked in, every single person was so blatantly rude to me: I made and appointment for a very specific time because it was soon after I got off work, and my work is very close to the salon. Firstly, no one was open to help the person who arrived on time with an appointment and on top of that they continued to laugh ad the appointment time I requested until I was asked to sit at a table. They weren't speaking English, but when your appointment time is repeated 15 times you begin to realize you may be being talked about. A few even went so far as to look at the customer they were working on, repeat my appointment time, shake their heads and laugh. I felt as though the time I asked for was actually the most ridiculous thing they'd ever heard. Then, I was asked to sit down but I hadn't picked a color yet so I asked: "Should I pick a color first?" (I realize that is typically what you do first when getting a manicure) but new salon, I didn't know how they did things. They all pause and look at me and then someone goes: "Yeah... that'd be good." Literally dripping with rudeness. The girl who did my nails was nice enough and tried small talk, the one positive of the salon in my opinion. But even she insulted my age, insulted the polish company of the color I chose, and continually sucked on a lolly pop the entire time. The salon itself was at a much lower quality than I'm use to, so I'm baffled that they can afford to treat paying customers with such little respect. In the end, I left with a manicure that consisted of three ruined nails, polish left on the sides of my fingers near the edge of my nail, a cut cuticle and a ruined afternoon. Save yourself the trouble - pay a few extra bucks for respect and quality, actually. read more

I really wanted to love this place because it's so close to home, and I like to support local business. However, the service is hit-or-miss. Went for a mani-pedi, but two minutes into the pedicure, decided not to stay for the manicure. Pedicurist was distracted, gave perfunctory attention, and didn't even ask me which pedicure I would like. Prices are high for the service received. I have been going here since 2009 and wouldn't go anywhere else. They give lots of love and attention to every person that walks in...appointments are a must!! Very unpleasant experience! One doesn't go for a pedicure to have one's feet insulted -- that was what I experienced. I was told that my nails were too short -- yes, they are! And they are because I see a podiatrist regularly who trims them. So, this was less effort for the salon as they did not need to fuss with trimming my toe nails. Then, I was told that my bunions were ugly and should have them removed. Yes, I know they are, but I didn't go for a pedicure to be told that, and to be insulted. One person started my pedicure, and someone else finished it. Not exactly hand holding, or foot holding, I should say. This was my first time to the salon -- and will surely be my last. read more

I've been going to French Nail for many years and often take my friends for a treat. The equipment is clean, the staff is extremely accommodating with appointment times, the calf and foot massage with the pedicures is amazing! The gals do a nice, precise polish and are great about helping select a color when I ask. The prices are very reasonable. I have been a loyal customer at French Nail for almost four years, but after today's pedicure I will not be returning. The staff were extremely rude today, and kept rotating to work on my nails. When the final person finished my toes, there was a huge bubble on my big toenail, which I immediately pointed out and asked for her to fix. She told me to wait and started working on another person's nails! After waiting for almost half an hour and asking three separate times for someone to come fix the bubble, I was able to get a different staff member to "fix" it. She repainted the nail and immediately smudged it. I asked for her to fix it again, and she rolled her eyes at me but ultimately fixed it. When I left, I realized that my entire toe had nail polish smudges all over it from her hasty polish removal. I'm sad to say that I'll be seeking another spa to get pedicures. Don't come here unless you have a couple of hours to waste waiting for staff to do their jobs the right way. read more

This is the best service I have ever had. The first visit several years ago my technician was "Encha" (sp?) and I was going through something very emotional. Even though we did not speak the same language she communicated her care and compassion through the manicure, to the point I felt so nurtured tears were flowing. Since then she is my go to girl, so very sweet and even though there is a language barrier we are connected:) she gives excellent leg massage with the pedicure and the chairs are the most comfortable I've ever been in! Overall good salon but these folks need to follow a few simple tips on CUSTOMER SERVICE. Please remember that these services are generally a 'treat' for someone so try to help them celebrate the event: 1.) Greet and welcome your customers when they arrive; 2.) Don't make your customer feel rushed when they are trying to choose their color - it takes a couple of minutes to decide between the reds, pinks, etc; 3.) Ask if your customer wants their legs slapped as part of the pedicure service - this technique may not be a good idea for some people who have certain health conditions; 4.) it's rude for the technicians to speak the entire time to one another in Chinese - your staff should at least try to engage with the customer; 5.) Let your customer's nails dry thoroughly before they leave - again part of not rushing them - rushing the customer gives them an overall feeling that they are on an assembly line - "in and out". read more
