There have been multiple recalls for my 2020 Explorer ST. I visited the dealership six months ago, and they informed me that the necessary parts were unavailable. They assured me they would contact me once the parts arrived. However, six months have passed, and I am still waiting for their call. In early April 2024, I called again and left a message to schedule an appointment as I cannot renew my registration with the DMV without proof of the required corrections for these recalls. Unfortunately, I did not receive a callback. This lack of response is unacceptable. Furthermore, the ongoing issue with the backup camera displaying a blue screen has persisted since the first day of ownership. Although it was fixed once during the initial year, the problem continues to reoccur without resolution. For a couple weeks the S/O and i have been talking about replacing my blazer with something a tick larger, i'd looked at all kinds of stuff online and had narrowed it down to a Traverse or Explorer, aesthetically i've always been partial to Chevy's so we started there. Ben was great! Super friendly, seemed interested but got called off to do something else. The guy who stepped in (doubt he was even in sales) didn't seem any too interested in our business and when asked if any local dealers had other trim options he told us that we would have to make a deposit before he'd bring one in. uh. what?! I don't know why i was so shocked, when we purchased the 2021 blazer we had to drive down to Stevens Creek because the Fremont location wasn't looking to make sales then either. Sooo, we left and went to Ford. OF COURSE a sales guy saw us get out of the car and came at us like a fruit fly on a brown apple, and i was ready to fight him off, but there was no pressure, no pushing or steering, Behrooz asked what we wanted and how he could help. He wasn't deterred or annoyed by my resistance to share info, didn't even complain that i kept us yapping in the blazing sun far longer than i should have. S/O test drove the Explorer, had a couple words with the sales manager and we went home to discuss. Went back the next morning and S/O asked about a truck he'd seen on another dealer's website (ironically the chevy dealer that doesn't want to sell cars) Abbas handed me the keys to the Explorer so i could test drive before signing anything and told S/O he'd have it on his lot by the time we returned. And he did *gasp* without a deposit! So we test drove that, argued amongst ourselves before telling Behrooz and Abbas we'd be buying both. It felt like Abbas was arguing FOR us instead of the classic haggling AT us. He presented reasonable numbers, great offers for our trade-ins, threw in some shiny incentives and i had no hesitation in elbowing S/O in the ribs to start signing stuff! We were ushered into the Finance Director's office and i thought "ok, here's where the slime comes in" but nope, no greasy tactics, no surprise fine print! If anything, i was surprised that Mustafa, a man of numbers, had a sense of humor! I apologize that i didn't get his name but the guy that was told to take me to my new car and show me how everything works, he was so great! so enthusiastic! I wanted to keep asking questions just because he seemed to be enjoying his job, but it was as hotter than Satan's bath water and i just had to get home. Cars truly do not excite or impress me but, i was so blown away by the excellent service from everyone on the Ford Team, i was compelled to type out a lengthy review. I bought a car, but the dealer still refused to issue a title. I bought a Ford Expedition MAX from him on November 29, 2023. At that time, I told them that I wanted to apply for a commercial loan and they said it was OK. One month after buying it, because I was using the car for business and could not work without a commercial license, so I went The DMV checked my license plate. The DMV staff told me that there was no information about your car and asked me to go to the dealer. I went to the dealer to find them. They said they had uploaded the copy of my car to the DMV. Then I went to the DMV. I went back and forth. Three times at the DMV, the DMV staff still told me that they didn't have any information about your car and asked me to go to the dealer. When I got to the dealer, they started to deal with me. I have bought many cars before and have never encountered such a problem. It has been 2 months now and the DMV still has no problem. They don't have any information about my car, so I'm still asked to go to the dealer. If I could give zero stars, I would. I have been having a terrible experience with Fremont ford since I purchased a vehicle from them in December 2024!! I simply wanted to get a refund for an extended warranty in which they give you a full refund if you file for it within a month. That is the policy that is stated on ford's website. I asked for the refund and even went in to the dealership to sign the papers for the refund. Sure enough a month went by and the money wasn't sent. So I called and Roberto Hatch (who is the person I was dealing with from the day of purchase) and he gave me a whole run around and said "money is on the way". Then two months, then three months. Then Roberto tells me they lost the Papers that I signed. So he told me to send a signed copy through email with the same dates as before. And in Fremont ford fashion, no money was sent. So at this point I believe we were about seven months into the process and I spoke to a woman named Devon. She basically told me that ford didn't want to give me a full refund and only give me the refund from the date that Roberto had me send the copies through email. This is all because they "lost" The papers. Now fast forward to now (9 months into the process) Fremont ford is refusing to return my calls and messages through their website. I have contacted corporate and have been able to find out more information than this ford dealership is able to find out and tell me about. Once this issue is resolved, I definitely won't be doing any business with Fremont ford. They are incompetent, dishonest, and unable to act in good faith. Such a great experience with the entire team at Fremont Ford. Reserved the F150 Lightning on day 1 of release and picked Fremont Ford where I had previously bought a 1999 Ranger, a 2004 F150 and 2013 Edge. I was their first Lightning to drive off the lot which was exciting for everyone! Importantly they honored the MSRP when others had not commented to that. I worked closely with Wilson the sales manager who had his sales rep Ahmad keep me personally updated on the ordering availability. As soon as the order bank was open for my wave, Ahmad gave me a call and I got my order in. When my truck arrived on a Friday morning, Ahmad gave me a call right away so that I could get all the financial and paperwork stuff done while they did the dealer inspection and charged it up. The General Sales Manager Abbas worked with me on my trade in and getting everything I needed quickly done on the finance end, so it could be funded the same day. He and Ahmad couldn't have been more helpful in helping me get everything done quickly before I had to head to work. At delivery, Mansoor walked me through all the DMV and final paperwork then Ahmad got me set up with my Ford Pass up with the features of the truck. How to buy an EV and pay over 4.5K for a year maintenance fee? The review is for Finance managers at this location. They absolutely LIED and made me buy their extended insurance coverage package for Mache and provided a disclaimer I could cancel anytime and only pay for the time/miles used. Later after inspecting the bill, I found out they charged a lot more than I was quoted. The quoted price is something like 2K, and the actual price is like 6K. They tricked by only quoting differences between their total payment if made using their ridiculous interest rates and reduced interest rates if buying the package. (Everyone knows to refinance !) It's my bad for not doing due diligence before signing, and I tried to cancel the extended insurance coverage, since paying 6K maintenance cost for 4 years makes no sense for an EV. 1. Called Ford support and spoke to the same finance manager to cancel the extended insurance plan. He promised it was canceled and the amount would reflect shortly in the total financed amount. A year later I found out the cancellation never happened and they just LIED. when inquired in person no one wanted to take responsibility and just said that person doesn't work there anymore. 2. After multiple visits, and trying to cancel this thing again. As you can imagine they made this process as much hard to do as possible by not being available in person and keeping voicemail full. They finally refunded me around 1300$ out of the 6K package after 1 year of use/14K miles. They failed to explain how a refund amount would be calculated, just said the system would do the refund. I know a salesperson's job is to sell and be persuasive, but here the entire experience is like dealing with a con man. so ended up buying an EV and paying 4.5K for 1-year maintenance fee. I had such a pathetic experience buying and financing with FORD, that I would not only buy from this dealer, but I would NEVER buy FORD again. read more

It takes quite a bit for me to have to take the time aside to compose an unfavorable review. I purchased a certified Ford just a few months ago, less than 9 months, to be precise, which is still under warranty from this location and at the time, worked with an exceptional Manager in Financing named Yama who ensured everything went smoothly and was very knowledgeable ad efficient in his role and I felt absolutely confident I went to the right location. After all, a vehicle purchase is a major purchase and serious commitment as well as decision. He made sure all the details were ironed out and addressed any concerns / questions I had at the time and I did not feel rushed into my decision and he even made me feel as any associate at a dealership should - the the customer is always right and that my time and money was valuable. I am in love with my car and have experienced no issues, returned when Covid was in full swing for my 30k mileage servicing and received excellent customer service from start to finish with Julio in the Service Department. Fast forward until this past Saturday, May 22, 2021. I was going about my day and sat very briefly with the motor off, radio on while I looked up something on my phone - not even 10 minutes. I went to start my car and it wouldn't start, noticed the battery light and warnings on the display on my dash. This had never happened before. I ended up having to contact my roadside assistance to provide a jump-start. That was quite a concern again, as there was never an indication there was any battery issue. One hour later (roadside took forever), I arrive home and find a notice from Ford regarding a Safety Recall for another issue - this time, for the brake fluid lines. I called them right away to schedule an appointment and mentioned to the gentleman the issue I had just experienced with the battery and requested for him to include that with the repair and inspections. After I dropped off my car and rideshared to work, I received a text update from Fremont Ford a few hours later saying the battery would need to be replaced and would cost over $200. I immediately called Service back to inquire as to why, and spoke with Peter. He said he himself looked at the battery - I reminded him my vehicle was still under warranty and he continued in to insist the battery "is no longer covered from the base warranty and that the battery was the original battery installed at the Ford Plant on June 2. 2020!" Umm - did he not just hear what he said??! Instant red flag - I purchased this vehicle in August of 2020 with a Triple Point Inspection certification meaning this should have been caught! They should've noticed the battery cord date prior to the time of sale. When I mentioned it to him, once again, I could literally hear him huffing and puffing into the phone and he retorted very angrily to me, "ALLLRIGHT, let me check with the other Service Advisors." So rude - where was my customer service? I am a very professional and easy going individual, but I know the details of my warranty and I sure as hell was NOT going to get stuck with having to fork up the cash when it was clearly Ford's error. I was called back by Peter about half an hour later, prepared to hear another line of crap from him. He must've taken a fat dose of humility, because all he said was "it's covered." No apology for being so insistent and straight up WRONG - and for causing me unnecessary stress. When I arrived back to the dealership, thankfully Peter was gone for the day - I was in no mood, whatsoever to even catch a glimpse of him. Allen assisted me and was very kind, thorough, and even took his time and explained everything I was signing on my paperwork following the servicing. He even took it upon himself to apologize for the bad interaction I experienced with Peter. I give one star just for Allen. The rest - well, let's just say I will not be returning to Fremont Ford where I made my purchase to service my car. I have been since then to San Leandro Ford, located in close proximity to my workplace and have since been treated respectfully and professionally. Maybe it was a bad day for Peter - if so, at least apologize for it. At any rate, the entire fiasco left me with a bad taste in my mouth. First, this review is for the Service Department. I made an appointment to get my tires changed. I arrived and they didn't have any tires in stock, so they had to order some. The service guy helping me ordered my tires and told me it should arrive within 24-48 hours, but I needed to make another appointment. A week passed and I never got a call that my tires arrived, so I called. After getting passed through three different sales advisors, I finally spoke to someone and he said that he would need to call me back due to current bandwidth. I never got a call back. I called again the next day and I end up getting the same advisor that sold me the tires. He told me the status of my tires were still pending and that he would check on them and call me back. I never got a call back. I called AGAIN the following morning and it's the same guy. He told me that he had to cancel that order and reorder it. He said he'd call me back as soon as they arrived. They finally arrived the following day and he called me. This marks TWO weeks for the tires to arrive. So I call and make an appointment at the end of the week to get my tires changed. I'm now back at Fremont Ford and the same advisor tells me it should take two hours. It's been FIVE+ hours of me sitting here. I had to call 3 hours into it just for him to say they were also doing a recall repair and that it would be another 20 mins. Then he calls me an hour later to say they accidentally blew a fuse!!!!! This was an AWFUL experience. I'm still sitting here waiting for my vehicle, but I will not be scheduling another service appointment at this Ford. read more

Get confirmed to do mobile pick and delivery since am disabled and this a great service for me to use. Well get a confirmation call a day before and now that I had my care givers have the truck ready they call me at 9:50am to tell me I am out of the service range to do this service. When my pick up was 9:30am I could understand do to high traffic or detours we will be late or pick up later. Man don't you just love how certain people will drag ur feet and make u feel like u got great service and care and then they pull this on you. Even the app shows this location within my service range. But it's cool one reason to avoid this service center. I added some pictures to show. 1st get the app invite for the service follow threw they confirm ur in range for the service. Add my favorite dealer in the area then I get confirmation. Then the day before get a confirmation call. Set up with my care givers for truck to ready for this great new service. Okay day of service they don't arrive until get a call about an hour later saying I am not in the range I tell them the app won't let us make the appointment if we not in the range. So now I lost care giver hours to set all this up plus we waited for this. Now I ask then to verify with the app and talk to a manager. I hate sounding like a Karen man. So I just get so upset I start to get sick. I have a heart condition and was in hospice. So now i have to rest. So now I get a call from them if I want to cancel come on if I didn't qualify then why u want me to cancel. Can't believe the sales team is a super star at sales and customer care but service department always drop the ball. So many things I need to get checked out my my lightning I don't want to get checked since I have to pay 150 for each thing. I was quoted about 2,509 just to pay for things to get checked out from the service department. How I paid for the total package care and maintenance plus extended warranty at this dealership. But to get things checked out even with Videos showing the issues. Sorry it's policy u need to pay 150 for each thing once we confirm it's covered u get that money back. I don't have that kind of money. Plus instead of building a trust with the customer you scare us off. I will still buy a car from here but not service here anymore. Had issues with my 2019 in the past but now my 2022. I had issues since 1st 3 months and recalls but always have issues with the service team. For those picking Fremont Ford for Mach E or any online Ford.com purchase please don't go with Fremont Ford if you want to avoid Markup which they can set on the car. When Mach E was available online, I did order one and selected Fremont Ford as the place to get it delivered to. Once delivered after 6 months they held the car as hostage and gave me 24 hours to pay for it with a 5K markup. In my view, it clearly doesn't make sense to pay markup after waiting for 6 months on the order. I opened a case with Ford Marketing CAS31897032 not sure if Ford can do anything either here as Dealers seem to have more power than Ford on final price. The GM Michael Pollum at this dealership says they are right here and once they have the car they can sell it for any price they want to and what the market is willing to buy it for. So don't get excited when you order at Ford.com the price isn't final and be ready to be at the mercy of the dealer to get the car. Based on this experience, I highly suggest avoiding any purchase or service at this dealership, they will try to get most out of you and try to defraud you as much as possible. This is the history of the car with the VIN 3FMTK2R75MMA27096 - Ordered by me online on Nov 27th not willing to pay the additional 5K the dealer added on top of the MSRP as in my view, it clearly doesn't make sense to pay markup after waiting for 6 months on the order. To whoever getting this car hope you search the VIN and end up here knowing that my loss and your additional money is the dealer's gain here. I'm so disappointed while writing this review on my way home without my vehicle, my car broke down while driving home after a busy and stressful shift at the airport where I work. I towed my car to ford 10 days ago for it to get fixed as my extended warranty is one of the highest and not point on fixing it on my own when it's still under warranty, the process has been very bumpy and clueless at times, a new hired has been helping us, and apparently he doesn't work for the company anymore, they kept trying to make me pay for lots of stuff that were all supposed to be covered, but I do not mind as long as it's a fair payment. I went there today and pay them $375.00 and they gave me my keys, as soon as turn my car on I noticed the check engine was still on, and now the fuel pump is making a weird noise! I'm here now on a Lyft drive going back home without my vehicle 10 days after and with lots of time wasted on phone calls and waits, please fix my vehicle!! Update: 4 weeks had pass since my first time at ford and nothing yet. I tried calling the number of the person who responded on Yelp but not only he didn't answer his phone calls but also did t respond to any of the messages I left (Michael P. Definitely not more than a Yelp bot) definitely worst auto mechanic service I had ever received, save you money and time, do not trust this guys, I will also have my regular mechanic check my car after just to supervise the job done and also see if I need to escalate this issue to higher authority, as I feel like ford did not care about my security by returning a vehicle with existing problems and even a check engine light on. read more

This is for the service department. I've had mixed experiences in the last 30 days. Overall I had a decent experience for recall Service with some hiccups on their end. Would have been a 3/5 but I'm giving them slack and appreciate workers who did their best to help me. I have the EV mach E and it was due for a recall for the windshield and glass roof. I actually purchased from another dealership Santa Clara but when I called to ask them for the recall service they told me that they don't do it and ask another dealership (excuse is that they operate independently) and so I finally found out by calling Fremont Ford that they could help me and was excited. The guy on the phone said he could schedule me 12/26 and I said ok to booking it. I didn't get any confirmation notice for booking; no text no email. When I came on 12/26 the service department was closed... I asked the sales rep if they could help me check if I was booked for that by mistake and they said they can't help me with anything related to service. They said yeah well service is closed that day; you can leave your car here if you want and see if they can work on it tomorrow. (No. Why would I want to leave my car without my rental car and no guaranteed repair service lol. So I was annoyed that I drove up early morning (came from SJ) after Xmas and got turned away. I guess somebody made a big mistake for scheduling. Anyhow I moved on and called back when they were open to reschedule. The lady who helped me told me that she could reschedule in a week. She told me she didn't know who incorrectly booked and that she just started working LOL. Well there's no point in crying over spilled milk; so I just told her that I want to make sure that the repairs could done and that the service was booked. she was kindly able to call the contracted glass body shop for booking, spoke to her advisor that i would get my free car rental while it was being serviced, and once called me back to reschedule due to the crazy rainstorm which i appreciated. However I still didn't get a confirmation text nor email but I called and confirmed morning of that I was booked before leaving to go there. when i arrived to drop off my car, there was a bit of a wait. i guess only 1 person at a time could be helped. i was told to wait by my car. while waiting, another customer arrived also confused and was told to wait. i guess they should put up a sign for people to wait in line/ queue order and stay by their car. the service advisor helped me and was fast. he checked my car before I left and gave me my fasttrak box to ensure that i didn't forget it which is a thoughtful gesture. i did end up waiting a bit in the lobby to get picked up by enterprise shuttle so i could get my rental car, but the service advisor noticed that and made a 2nd call for me so I don't blame it on ford (enterprise was short staffed; the driver said that she normally does not drive people around and works at the desk there lol). FYI ford only covered $40 credit per rental car per day but when i got there i had like 2 options that were $65 day minimum so sadly i had to pay out of pocket extra $15 a day. Also I only borrowed for 1 day but was charged for two days. I wished Ford / enterprise could have let me select / reserve a car in advance or maybe I could have gotten more selection if gotten helped earlier that day . By my surprise, the car was repaired in a day because i was told that it could take 2 days. my service advisor was Alex. He said he could help me out by letting me drop off the rental car at ford/ take photos for me because i would not make it back in time to enterprise before they closed. I was also waiting a bit before being helped (not a big deal to me) but it turns out that day they were short staffed with many people calling out of work. Not his fault; they need to hire more staff or at least not have all clients come in at once... My car was nicely returned back with some paper mats (nice that they try to keep it clean); got my extra fob key as promised; they added in free tire pressure / maintenance check too; got a small software update. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP! WASTE OF TIME! Went in with a appointment scheduled just for a basic 10k service , I was told it take 2 - 2 1/2 hours. After waiting there few 2 hours they hadn't even touched it and weren't pulling it in any time soon had to leave and go back to work. Over 300$ for the service too which is just a oil change and tire rotation. not worth it. Quick lane service shouldn't take that long, would recommend somewhere else for services where they value costumers time. Took almost a half day off work to have them wast my time. With an appointment a quick lane oil change and tire rotation for a customer waiting should not take more then 2 hours. read more

Went there to buy a new car with cash. Found exactly what I was looking for at another dealership and were very helpful at eventually getting the car over there later that day. The problem I had was they were extremely hesitant about letting me just pay cash for it without financing. We went back and forth about it for about 15 to 20 minutes before they made go to my bank and get a cashiers check. I was kinda unfamiliar with cashiers checks. It probably would have been alright except nobody from the dealership explained that to me. When I handed them the valid cashiers check, still no apologies or explanations, they just sat me down to continue the transaction. Another complaint would be Ahmad told me they would had given me "much more" money for the old, high mileage, beat up car with a lot of problems that I just sold without even seeing it. I've also been told if a car is that old you should try to sell it privately rather than trading it in. But other than that, I absolutely love my new car! Ahmad hooked my cellphone up with Ford Pass, which was pretty cool. Alright experience, but I feel that they needed to patch a few things up rather than leave me hanging. read more

Absolutely pissed. Don't get your service done here. Called in almost 2 weeks ago because there is a recall for a part in my car. Was told it'll take until today, Aug 17th, to get the part in as ford would only ship them so many parts a week. Not ideal as either my husband or I would have to call off, but it needed to be done. Told them that I'd also like my tires rotated as well. Not overly pressing to get that done. Appointment was all set and my husband opted to take off. Get there for my appointment and tell them I'm here for a recall appointment. They bring me into their office and they tell me there is a recall for a part in my car. I'm thinking, oh great, another recall came up... Then they say okay, we'll get this done with the oil change/tire rotation. Umm... no oil change. That's not what I wanted. Just the recall and tire rotation, per the appointment I created. For the date I didn't want. They give me a time to expect to be called. Call my husband later to see if they called/he picked it up. Said they just called and they only mentioned the tire rotation. Im pissed because the whole reason for the appointment was the recall. I could get the tire rotation done at my next Costco trip, so why I am wasting more money and my time here when Costco is 5 minutes away and cheaper. But nonetheless, I say maybe they did get it done, they just didn't mention it. Call him a little later, and sure enough, we had been dicked around for a tire rotation that I didn't even care to have done right away. Three hours it took to rotate my tires. THREE HOURS for what the person checking me in said was "the easiest and quickest thing to do for a car". They didn't even order in the parts until my husband went in pissed.
