I just picked up my 2026 C8 Corvette Stingray 1LT from Fremont Chevrolet, and I have to say, the experience completely changed what I thought buying a Chevy could feel like. I've owned Mercedes, BMW, and Audi over the years, and this dealership genuinely matched the quality of any luxury store I've stepped into. I came in with an out-of-state deal already lined up on what I thought was the color and package I wanted. Fremont had the most diverse C8 inventory I could find, so I made the trip just to see the colors in person before committing. I sent in a lead requesting two specific VINs, got a quick phone call and text back from Rafael, set an appointment, and when I showed up both cars were pulled up out front ready for me to drive. That alone set the tone. I came in wearing regular clothes and pulled up in my daily 2006 Honda Accord, and at no point did anyone pre-judge me or push the usual "fill out a credit app before you drive" routine. Rafael was patient, knowledgeable, and walked me through all 12 Corvettes on the lot, explaining the packages and combinations on each one. After about an hour of calls, photos, and family opinions, he actually got me to fall in love with a color combo I never expected to pick -- red on black, with the raised black wing and performance exhaust. Originally I was set on white. He took the time to make sure I got the right car, not just a car. Emal, the sales manager, met me on the showroom floor before any numbers were even discussed, which was a refreshing change of pace. When I told him about my outside deal, he was straight up -- told me he couldn't fully match it, but would get very close. He delivered. Considering Rafael had pointed me toward a better-spec car than the one I had on hold elsewhere, the deal Emal put together was more than fair, and I felt good walking away from the original one. Amir, the GSM, was quarterbacking the whole thing from the start. Anytime Rafael or Emal were tied up with other customers, Amir stepped in and kept the experience seamless. You could tell the team was actually working together rather than handing me off. Finance with Luke was the part that surprised me the most. I came in with my own pre-approval, and usually that gets an eye roll and some passive aggression from a finance office. Luke was the complete opposite. He actually beat my pre-approval rate, listened to me talk about my finances, my driving lifestyle, and my plans for the car, and then presented warranty options that lined up with exactly what I was already planning to ask about. We worked out a bundle that gave me real peace of mind at a price I was comfortable with. No pressure, no games, just a straightforward conversation. Delivery took a little while -- the OnStar setup felt like a hoop more than a benefit -- but Rafael went through every setting and feature with me, and I'm glad he did. I've had newer cars and assumed I'd just hop in and go, but the C8 has enough going on that the walkthrough was genuinely valuable. Big thanks to Rafael, Emal, Amir, and Luke. Oh where to start.. First, unlike so many of the other reviews this is NOT for the service department. That was one area about this dealership I personally didn't have a problem with. Only had to take the car in once, and the parts were ordered immediately and fixed quickly. Now on to all of the problems with pretty much EVERYTHING else. I purchased an SUV from this dealership around October of last year and I should have walked away from the sale when the "step in" (Chris) finance manager was a completely condescending JERK. I quite literally momentarily thought about throwing my purse at him. His boss had to make him come apologize to me because he was so rude. Somehow I ended up purchasing the vehicle and continued to have nothing but problems with the people. They had me sign a paper regarding a maintence package ( oil changes etc) and had me under the impression that I was purchasing a warranty (major problems). Once I realized that I was paying monthly for something that would cost $30 every 3 months I called them and said that I did not want this package and I was lead to believe it was an entirely different thing. Chris, argued with me, telling me that there was nothing I could do, I signed the paper and I was stuck with the package. It wasn't until I read through the fine print on the back of the paperwork thoroughly that it clearly stated I may CANCEL at ANY TIME. He clearly knew this and attempted to stick me with the paying for something that was almost useless. Strike two for Chris. After threatening to contact the Better Business Bureau the actual finance manager, Steve, offered an extended warranty to me at their cost. I accepted and moved on. I then decided 3 months ago, to trade this vehicle in for one that would be so much better on gas, and in doing so the warranty was paid off. I was instructed by the dealership I was trading in my car at as to how to go about getting a refund for the warranty. I went in and again dealt with Steve, showed him the paper that had the date and amount of miles on the car at trade in, ( I was told this would be necessary in determining the amount of the reimbursement) and he looked at it, said okay, I'll give them a call and I'll call you to update you. Didn't write down or note any of the information. I ended up having to call him a week later after hearing nothing, he claimed he had made the call. It is now TWO months later and I hadn't heard a single word of when to expect the check, or that everything was finalized. Nothing. I called the dealership three days ago and left a message with yet another person in the finance department that I was directed to. I have yet to hear back from her. In her voicemail, she also says about three times to text her cell phone, which I've also tried with no response. This entire dealership is CRAP. Honestly, if you want a gmc/chevy PLEASE save yourself the trouble and drive to the next dealership. I would drive around a clown car before ever purchasing from them again. It sucks you have to give any stars to a company just to be able to post on yelp! This dealership does not even reserve that. If you print their coupon from their website other dealerships will gladly honor them and provide true customer service! I tried to resolve the issue I had with my visit to them but never received a response from the manager or the owner. Know that the same owner of this dealership also owns Hayward and Pleasanton (& maybe in Concord my friend was not sure about Concord) Here is a copy of the email I sent to the owner which received no response! Dear Mr.Rick Corso. Your service department is disorganized and extremely low on the customer service side. Mike Taylor was the rudest person I have ever dealt with at a dealership that is trying to pick up business from Central Chevrolet. He was not helpful at all. I asked if it was possible to speak to JJ who I had dealt with before. He let me know he was fired. I felt as is if I was bothering him as I asked questions about my getting my truck worked on. I explained that I made an appointment a week ahead so that I could plan my time and take the afternoon off of work to get the truck serviced and take care of other errands. Mike rudely told me he did not see my name in the computer and was told that my appointment was not on the books. He then rudely told me that if I was able to leave the truck, they would get to when they could. He could not give my any type of time frame. I explained I needed my truck to take care of business and that I had taken the afternoon off work to take care of this. He was unwilling to help me with the situation and rudely in a raised voice let me know that if I could not leave the car or wait for them to get to it there was nothing he could do to help me. He was not even sure they would have the parts or how long it would take to get them. I also did not feel it was very professional to be called "BRO" by a service person. I explained I would be going to a real shop to have my truck worked on. The appointment I arranged and I took the afternoon off for was completely a waste of time. I then called FH Daily and had both front and rear brakes replaced along with an oil change on my truck within hours.They also honored your coupon. I received service there that I am very happy with and will return for. I only wish I had received it when I drove into your dealership. I truly believe the wrong person was fired and I will be sure not to recommend your dealership to my friends! Also I feel your website is not very user friendly as when I sent this same email to the address on your contact us on your home page I received an email let me know the sales person would be contacting me to buy a car! I would like to start my email by telling you about the positive part of my experience with Chevrolet Fremont Service Dept . Matthew Le was a HUGE lifesaver and really went above and beyond to help me .. I called the service dept and made an appt to bring my car in at 8:15AM and when I got the svc reminder email I noticed it was with Frank Williams when i arrived Frank was not even in the office today so I waited patiently for the next person to become available mind you it seems like a pretty hectic morning with in the service dept We had one man tell us to go stand outside near our cars until the next customer svc rep could help us . which would not be a problem if it wasnt so cold or I was able to turn on my car but the reason I was at the service dept was because my check engine light was on , my car was losing power and the car was making a whistling sounds so I was not comfortable having my cars heater on. but Still I went outside by my car and Ben came to my car already frustrated and rude and I told him we are all having a bad day and his attitude was not helping the matter. That is when he exploded and was very rude telling me he wasnt going to help me which was fine so he gave Eric my key but then Eric had a situation that he needed to take care right away so I went back to the service dept hoping someone would help me . 4-5 people in the dept and everyone acted like i was invisible. Once Matthew was done with the person he was helping he asked to help the next person so I told him i was waiting to be helped and he quickly and kindly took control of the situation. I would like to make it know that I felt Ben not only was rude but a bit racist while Matthew was providing excellent customer Ben got a Spanish speaking customer and he had a whole different attitude he was so cheerful and asking her how she was going , how her wknd was etc. and I knew exactly what he was saying because I too speak fluent Spanish and Ben would have known this had he not judged me by my looks or last name .. Please make sure to acknowledge Matthew Le for turning a HORRIBLE Morning experience into a pleasant morning . I will definitely be asking for Matthew when I have to get my car serviced read more

I have had ok service, not great, but ok service in the past but my last two visits have really been a turn off. I had the same service representative assisted me both times and he is a liar and should not be working there. During a previous experience I took my 2014 Chevy Cruze Diesel in for service. I usually try to check the service manual to see what is required. Unfortunately, we had missed the previous service and were closer to a "major" service which I didn't realize and so I didn't check the proper service requirements. He told me the fluid was supposed to be changed. I thought that was a little early, but went with it. Unfortunately afterwords, when I had a chance to review the service manual, I realized it is not required for 5 years or 100K whichever is first. the car was 2.5 years old with less than 45K on it. He also added an HVAC service to clean and freshen it up which I didn't realize until I got the car back and it gave me and my wife headaches with the awful smell. The last time i was in there with my truck, all i needed was an oil change and tire rotation. He told me it was $99.99 for that. I told him I have never been charge that much for that service. Then he said it was because my truck has oversized tires. Again I said no, I have never been charged that much for this service, it has had the tires on it for years. Then I pointed out I had a flyer that said it is an every day value, $49.99. he took my flyer and said it was a coupon. I asked why is it a coupon if it says it is an everyday value. He had no real response and still charged me $69.99 for the oil change and tire rotation. On their website it says it is an everyday value of $49.99. On top of that, it took them two hours to service my vehicle. Again he said that since it had to with the fact that it had the oversize tires, they could only do it on a certain lift. Too bad I have a picture of my truck on a regular lift that I took at that dealership because I thought it was pretty cool to see it up like that. Also, the new HD trucks are bigger and they have no problem lifting them. I would recommend that use other dealerships if they need to get service done. read more

I bought my VUE Hybrid at Saturn of Fremont lat year, and have been taking it there for scheduled maintenance as well. I found the experience of buying at Saturn of Fremont as easy and enjoyable as buying a car can be. Why does it take the better part of a day to buy a car? That's not unique to Saturn of Fremont, every time I buy a new car, or go with a friend to buy one, at any dealership of any make--it takes all day. At least at Saturn of Fremont they kept it a bit shorter than my past experiences elsewhere and seemed like they were doing everything they could to move the process along. The sales people answered all of my questions, and I never felt pressured to buy the car or additional options I didn't want or need. Saturn of Fremont gave me a good deal on my trade-in, and quickly located and acquired the exact car I wanted (color and options) from another dealership. Because I bought my car on a Sunday afternoon, the guys who normally wash and detail your car before you drive it home weren't working. Saturn said I could bring it back anytime for that service, and I did, and they kept their word. I've had my car there for it's routine maintenance and one factory recall in the last year. The guys in the service department are always kind, and get my car done fast. Once I had an issue with my hybrid batteries, and after having it repaired at Saturn the same problem returned a few weeks later. I brought it back in, but of course when we got there the problem seemed to have disappeared, and the technicians could not replicate the issue. They told me to bring it right back if it happened again, no appointment needed. I did just that and the problem was quickly solved, and the care has been fine ever since. I like how they wash your car for you if you have it serviced, but always appreciate how if you are waiting for the car they always ask if you want the wash in case you don't want to wait for that too. This morning I found a truck located at Fremont Chevrolet advertised on the Chevrolet inventory search website. I also looked it up on the dealer's website and confirmed the options and the pricing. I called the dealer and told them of my interest in the truck and that I live over an hour away. We chatted briefly about the truck and the salesman said no problem, he'd have the keys ready when I got there. So off I went...........only to find out upon arrival that there was a small matter of an additional undisclosed $10,000.00 dealer markup added to the advertised price on the websites!! I complained right away that they should let people know about this in their advertising and before they travel long distances. The salesman said he could maybe do something about it and encouraged me to take a test drive. I should have turned around and left right then because the rest of the experience was an exercise in futility. They tried upselling me on everything from financing to extended warranties and even car polish. When asked how I would pay I told them by check and I would give them a sizable credit card deposit. I need a day or so to get the money transferred because I don't keep 60k in my checking account. I could complete the transaction in a day or so. I was then told that they don't take deposits. Huh? Their sales policy is "either/or". Either you finance OR you pay 100%. No deposits. Their final concession was a reduction of the 10k markup to 5K above MSRP (plus tax and license) and their defense of the misleading advertising was that I should have called. Seriously, that's what was said.........by the guy who fielded my phone call a few hours before! LOL! Needless to say, I walked. The experience cost me over 2 hours driving time and the better part of a day. read more

I would like to commend the entire service desk team, with a special mention to Mr. Harpreet Singh, for their exceptional professionalism and courtesy. From the service desk to the courtesy driver (whose name I regrettably forgot), everyone demonstrated a high level of competence and courtesy throughout my experience. During a recent road trip from Los Angeles, CA, to San Jose, CA, my vehicle began leaking oil upon arrival in San Jose. I sought assistance at the service center, and at 7:20 AM, Mr. Harpreet Singh efficiently facilitated the evaluation of my vehicle. Following a thorough inspection, it was determined that a non-serviceable part on my oil pan was the source of the leak. A new oil pan was ordered and promptly replaced the following day. I left my vehicle at the service center, and the courtesy driver graciously transported me to Hertz to arrange for a rental car. Upon returning the next day to retrieve my truck, Mr. Harpreet Singh once again provided valuable assistance, ensuring a swift and efficient service experience. Regrettably, 4 days later and back home, I observed oil drops on my garage floor, and upon inspection, it was evident that the oil pan was saturated with oil. My local mechanic indicated that the oil pan sealer may not have had sufficient curing time before the oil was added, and the oil pan bolts were not torqued to the appropriate specifications. It remains uncertain whether the issue arose from an off day for the Fremont mechanic or the use of faulty tools. In conclusion, it is advisable to monitor the results of service work performed at Fremont Chevrolet to ensure the proper functioning and integrity of your vehicle. read more

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE SERVICE CENTER (SALES DEPARTMENT IS GREAT). THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE CENTER I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED!!!! THEY HAVE NO VALUE FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS. I'M NOT AT ALL SURPRISED ABOUT ALL THE 1 STAR REVIEWS. I WOULD GIVE THIS PLACE 0 STARS IF I COULD. I brought in my Volt because I received 2 recall notices. Also, the car charger stopped working (just of 1 year of owning the car). Right from the get-go upon my arrival, the service representative Juan gave me tremendous attitude. He was rude, dismissive and demanding. He had apparently sized me up in the 3 sentences we had spoken and decided that he did not care for the likes of me. I asked to speak to the manager and spoke to Eric. He was nicer, marginally. After our negative interactions, you would think the staff would now be more amenable to helping the customer. Not Fremont Chevy! I left the car with them telling me it may just be a software update (so I may get it back the same day). But instead, no one called me for 4 days!!!!! I did not have any information about my car throughout that time despite me calling multiple times, getting the run around and leaving messages. They apparently don't do loaner cars and had me rent a car from the local Enterprise (a waste of an additional 45min each way). Then they said I may have to pay for the rental (5 days at $60 each day) if the problem was not under warranty!! Luckily it was. All in all - a HORRIBLE experience! Please avoid Fremont Chevy if possible and at all cost avoid interacting with the extremely unpleasant rep Juan. I will never come to this place again! read more

I went to Fremont Chevrolet to get a water leak repaired under warranty on a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze. The leak was letting water drip from the forward interior dome light area (near rearview mirror). My service advisor, Raj (Neeraj Bhambhra) had the service tech try many ways to introduce water from the outside (car wash, high press water, etc), but they could not reproduce the leak. I picked up the car with both of us a bit disappointed. I felt they did all they could. I went home and over the week end ran water over the car roof for over an hour and reproduced the leak! This time I took photos- that turned out to be the key to solving my problem. I made another appointment and this time, they removed more interior pieces (the entire headliner!) and were able to find that the windshield seal was the leak source. Raj had the service tech REPLACE the windshield rather than just try a local seal shortcut. Turns out the seal is not available separately and the windshield comes from the factory as a unit that includes the seal. The repair should be as good as factory new. I think a leak of this sort is fairly rare for a car this new (2015). During the time of repair (over one week) Raj was able to get me a free loaner car so I still had transportation. The fifth star on this rating is missing because I had to go back twice for the same issue and it took a very long time to complete the repair. Our Nissan Leaf lease is expiring this week and we were interested in the Chevy 2017 Volt Hybrid because it gives you the first 53 miles (perfect for 40 miles of my daily commute) on pure electric before switching to hybrid. Online I saw that other Chevrolet stores in the Bay Area priced the Volt much higher than Fremont Chevrolet did . I stopped by at this store on Thursday and met Asim Kaleem who received me well. He is soft spoken and spends time to understand your needs. I was interested in lowering my lease cost , get the right car color and HOV stickers. Asim got to the point and within 30 mins showed me a Pepperdust Color Volt. Took it for a test drive and we back at the table on how to keep the monthly payment low. Asim worked in my favor and was able to convince his manager to get a lease deal lower than what was advertised. Thanks Asim for doing that. I went in next day to collect my car and Asim was kind enough to spend some good amount of time explaining about the car features, apple car play, the new onstar experience, the driving modes and even setting up my Chevy Mobile App so that I can check my car's status through the mobile app. I did purchase the Excess wear and tear for a nominal price from Lenny (finance guy) who is a good no-nonsense person to work with. I recommend buying it to have a peace of mind while leasing the car over 3 years. Again, I am happy with my car buying experience with Asim and Fremont Chevy exceeding customer satisfaction and providing me a good deal on my Volt lease. read more

My car was towed in & dropped off at the service dept. late Friday night & without an appt. The mechanic manager was still there, he introduced himself, asked what problems I was having with the car & took a brief look under the car & assured he would note what was seen. Without an appt, especially on a Sat. I figured my car wouldn't be looked at until late Saturday or Monday morning. Not only did a receive a text message early Saturday morning telling me the name & phone # of my advisor, but when I called for an update around noon, just so I knew whether or not to get a rentaI, my call was returned within 20 mins, which was then followed up with a text at 515pm advising that my vehicle was ready for pick up. Included was a brief detail of work done. I called to pay, & was told phone payments were not accepted. I advised this was not told to me. I was placed on hold , my adjuster picked up my call & took my payment. On my way to pick up my car, I received another text telling me where my car was parked, location of car key & the invoice. When I got there, I noticed my car was washed, I didn't even have to ask to have it done. I'm sure there are other advisors who are just as good, but I am sending a big KUDOS TO JULIAN & HIS TEAM for their thouroughness & promptness. You have provided me with excellent customer service & left me with me with no worries about my vehicle!! read more

So I was in the market for a brand new Chevy 3500 HD high country when I ram across CarGurus they had a great price at Fremont Chevrolet when I arrived on site after speaking with Rafeal on the phone I was approached by a man named AnthonyAnthony he asked if he could help I said I was just looking around This is the unbelievable part he said OK just let me know if there's anything I can do and he walked off when I was ready I went over and talk to him and explained what I wanted. He was not pushy. He's not selling or trying to sell me anything I did not like, he asked if I would like to test drive the truck I said that would be great he grabbed the keys and we test drove the truck the truck was awesome we went inside he explained everything about the truck. Then asked if I would like to purchase extra options (Onstar, Ceramic Coatings Etc) we did the paperwork and went to the financial department Rafeal ( who I spoke with on the phone)was not available so he asked Anthony to help me (turns out Anthony was the man that sent me a email regarding my search on car gurus)Fremont Chevrolet or at least Anthony & Rafeal are awesome to great guys to work with I don't know how many times I went to buy a new vehicle and you get these pushy people not here anyway, I would recommend FREMONT Chevrolet what a great experience, courteous, kind, professional, very knowledgeable read more

I purchased 2013 Camaro 2SS 1LE. I actually ordered a 2014 Mustang GT Premium with Track Pack. However I though I should try the competition so I went to Fremont Chevrolet. I spoke to Ben Beerly, and I took a test drive in a Camaro 2SS 1LE. It was great but I had already ordered a Mustang with all the options I wanted and the Camaro I drove was not in the exterior color or interior I wanted. Ben convinced me to take another test drive in another Camaro with the same feature but in another exterior color that I would probably like better (Blue Ray Metallic). I loved the drive and handling better than the Mustang but I still was not crazy about the dark blue and I found out the interior only came in Black leather when ordering the 1LE package. Well long story short, I loved the handling so much I decided I would over look the interior black and the dark blue exterior. I then worked out a price with Kevin McNeill and Pat Neil (not sure if that was his last name). They were Ben's Sales managers. I also bought an extended warranty with Louie in the finance office. The gentlemen were all business like and very professional and look forward to coming back for service. By the way, Ben Beerly was right the color did grow on me even though it was not my first choice. I love it, even with the black interior and don't feel I gave up anything. read more
