5-star for the environment, 3-star for the drinks. All is quiet until after work happy hour kicks in. This is a famous spot in Seattle, and a well-respected local brewing company. I like that they have flight sizes with no minimum and non-alcoholic beer, but they are lacking in anything that isn't bitter. The best part is their variety of seating arrangements, which makes it even working alone while drinking beer acceptable! Seems to be frequented by engineers or generally people working in tech. It is dog-friendly and people bring babies too! read more

One of my fav breweries in Seattle. Love coming and hanging out with friends or alone at this spot. They have ample indoor and outdoor seating which is covered so shields you from Seattle winter. Staff is always nice and they have a robust selection of great beer - something for everyone. I love their Nitro Dark Star, Summer Ale, Interurban and also they have a wide selection of non alcoholic drinks. They have a fridge with some sandwiches if you need to grab a quick bite if not feel free to get outside food here and enjoy their beer. All in all I enjoy hanging out here and will continue to support this deserving brewery! read more

Located in Freemont, a huge brewery across from the water. On a Friday afternoon, the large outdoor patio was very crowded, but we were able to grab a table..a beer barrel! They have lots of selections and beers and ciders are served in custom glasses. They do not serve food, but they offer selections from a local place and had oysters available. They do offer free pretzels. A definite must when in the area to experience a local brewery. read more

The service was fast and friendly on a cold Sunday afternoon. It was pretty busy despite the cold. It seems to be a chill spot, which is close to the Fremont Troll and Gas Work Park. There were card games and Jenga available to play. I recommend checking out this spot outside of the usual touristy breweries if you're traveling from out of town. read more

We met friends here as a family. I love to try different beers so the flight of 5 pours that are 5 oz is great. They have either cold deli type foods or hot food from rotating food trucks. Plus, as any good beer bar should, they offer free pretzels. A line forms for the beer sometimes but generally the bar tenders keep it moving so you dont have to wait long. They didn't have any more stouts on tap, but that's not their fault. The fireplace, the decorations, and the music all aligned to what they're trying to achieve here. Awesome brewery in Seattle. My wife and I went to Fremont Brewery on a Friday afternoon. A lot of inside and outside seating. Probably had 20 or so beers on tap to try. I went with the core flight for $15. The Lush IPA was my favorite but all of them were very good. For $20, you can pick pick any 5 beers on tap. It started getting busier around 4 or so but thankfully they opened up the second serving station on the the left side of the brewery. Overall, I'd definitely recommend making a trip to this brewery. On my recent trip to Seattle I had a lot of good food, good coffee, and a LOT of great beer. I used the time to try many different breweries and flights at each of them to get a taste of what the area has to offer. The first on my list was Fremont Brewing out of the Fremont neighborhood. They are a family-owned craft brewery founded in 2009 by Sara Nelson and Matt Lincecum. The brewery creates small-batch artisan beers using local ingredients, including organic ingredients when possible. They are famous for some of their big stouts, notably Dark Star and Rusty Nail. I may not have had Dark Star at the brewery, but I was able to snag a bottle to bring home with me (the Barrel Aged version). While there I enjoyed a giant bowl of complimentary pretzels and a flight of four of their beers. Over the Sea: A West Coast IPA brewed in collaboration with Coronado Brewing Company. It uses a base of 2-Row Pale with some accents of Munich, White Wheat, and C-15 for malts, and Magnum, Centennial, Salvo, Simcoe, Centennial Cryo, and Amarillo for the hops. A medium bodied IPA that is medium bitterness with pleasant aromas of ripe cantaloupe, pine, and orange zest. Little Lies: A Czech Pilsner brewed in collaboration with Fox Farm Brewery using Bohemian Pilsner and Melanoidan malt with Kazbez and Czech Saaz hops. Pleasant white bread dough, dry, and crisp. Just a hint of spiciness, but leans towards the malt and bitterness. Flavor Wagon: A Triple Hazy IPA brewed in collaboration with Flying Lion Brewing. Fruity with tropical fruits leading the way. A thicker mouthfeel, which is expected in these beers. No alcohol burn, even for the higher ABV. Melange - Barrel-Aged Cuvee (2023) A beautiful Strong Ale that blends vintages of Rusty Nail and a porter brewed specifically for the Cuvee. Black as night with notes of dark caramel, burnt brown sugar, warming spices, and semi-sweet chocolate. Treats you like a big warm hug that is rounded out by some astringency and spiciness. _____ read more

Fun vibe - good outdoor seating - quick and easy service This is a great spot for an outdoor group hang or a quick beer stop with friends. We came on a hot summer day and there was plenty of seating with some mist to calm down the heat. However not a place to go during important sports games, there are no tv's. Not the best beer I've ever had, I got the nitro cold brew beer and it was disappointingly flat. But they do have non alcoholic options and an okay variety of beer. I'd go back for the atmosphere but not the beer. read more

I had a bad experience at this brewery, and would urge anyone considering a visit to steer clear. I bought a six-pack of beer, excited to enjoy it with my friends, and opened one at the table. Suddenly, this waiter--who was a white male wearing glasses, piercings, and a denim jacket with a hoodie--rudely approached our table, grabbed the open beers right out of our hands, and tossed them in the trash. He then proceeded to take the rest of the six-pack with him saying it's illegal Here's the thing: I paid for those beers. And nobody--absolutely nobody--told me that it was against their "policy" to drink what I purchased at the table. If there's some unwritten rule about this, it should have been communicated to me when I bought the beers, or at the very least, the waiter should have given me a simple warning before taking such extreme action. But instead, I was treated like I was doing something criminal just by enjoying the product I paid for. What this waiter did is not only unprofessional but downright illegal. It is against the law to take something that has already been purchased with money, and the way he handled the situation was nothing short of theft. There's a proper way to deal with things like this, and this was absolutely the wrong approach. If you want a much better beer and an infinitely better customer experience, head over to Great Notion or Old Stove. Both of those places serve up far superior beers, and their staff actually know how to treat customers with respect and courtesy. Trust me, you'll find way better places than this one. Bottom line: Go somewhere where they actually respect paying customers and don't steal from them over an unspoken rule that no one bothers to mention. read more

Since taking up biking, I've been able to venture to Fremont a lot more often! It is conveniently located right off the Burke Gilman Trail! There is tons of bike parking, and tons of seating, both indoors and out! The patio has a lot of covered areas, to protect from RAIN or sun! Getting here by car is a little more challenging when it comes to parking. All street parking (free!) but some days are more challenging than others! Fremont always has a great tap list! Great selections for everyone! Pick your favorite style and they've got you covered! They also have a good selection of non alcoholic options (soda, coffee, NA beer). And not to mention, FREE pretzels available upon request! They have (cold) sandwiches available for purchase, and often enough there's a food truck on site. If none of these options suit your fancy, you can order food to be delivered. Such a fun PNW vibe here! It's a great place to meet up with friends, and enjoy some good beer! Fremont is easily one of my favorite beer gardens in Seattle! read more

Also note that sometimes they have different beers on tap! I love that they allow you to bring in your own food but sometimes they'll have pop up events with local places selling food onsite. A cute brewery with great flavors! They have plenty of seating (indoor and outdoor) as well as other typical brewery perks, like a library of board games. For drinks, if you like pickles, I can't recommend the Cucumber Lime Gose enough!! My friend showed this flavor to me and it literally tastes like if pickle juice and beer made a delicious, savory lovechild. Their other beers like the grapefruit one are good too, albeit a bit bitter. Go try it before it rotates out of the seasonal flavors! read more

Love the selection of beers and make sure to grab one of their brownie ice cream sandwiches because it was delicious! Could there be a better summer spot to hang out in Fremont?? We got a spot outdoor to enjoy the nice weather. Got a core flight to try out some options for $15: Golden Pilsner, Sky Kraken Pale Ale, Summer Pale Ale, Lush, Hustle DIPA, and it's safe to say we loved all of them with Summer Pale Ale being our fav! The staff was also very nice giving us different recommendations according to our preferences. Will come back again multiple times during summer for sure! read more

A true Fremont classic! I've been here multiple times, and I've loved it every single time. They have a rotating beer and cider selection that never misses, and I usually come and order a flight so I can sample a few different flavors. It's also a really chill and relaxed atmosphere. It's a perfect place to enjoy a summer evening out on their patio, or duck out from a rainy afternoon with a nice stout. It's steps away from Gas Works Park, and I can't recommend this enough to others! I like pretty much this place in summer. We park some blocks from them and walk. It is very very busy. Hard to find a table and worst if you are a big party. They even installed humid sprayers for warm days. Nice! There are long tables. I really recommend sharing a table if your party isn't that big. That way there won't be people stand. There are also barrels that are used as tables. I think this idea is great! On sunny days, these tables will be outside of the ceiling part. They have umbrellas but not all have one. There were some dogs. One wasn't that friendly so beware if you come with children. Line was a bit long. I don't know if you can get food but beer was great :) They have seasonal. Restrooms are just by the line :S read more

A really cute brewery that is also COVID safe! It's located right in Fremont and has a great outdoor setup with spaced-out tables and string lights. Each table has an umbrella or other covering as well. They take masks seriously and ask that only one person orders per party and sanitized after each group left. I used to love this place but the service is not good anymore. There was a dog that attacked my service dog and almost bite him. The servers did nothing and watched it happen with a straight face. They did not offer any support or kick the aggressive dog out. The same dog did this to my service dog last time I came in and nothing was done then too. read more
