A great spot to mingle and catch a game or show! We came for the Survivor finale watch party and were lucky enough to get a seat at the bar. It's not too big inside, but there is a decent amount of seating and even some booth tables. We both tried the Nutrul vodka seltzers which were genuinely quite good - probably one of the best seltzers I've had. We also got the edamame hummus board which was HUGE and came with a wide assortment of veggies and bread. I loved the hummus a lot - it was so flavorful with a strong sesame note. Definitely recommend this. Service was quick and friendly too. Great spot! read more

I unknowingly came across the brewery as I was on my way to the public storage. I had to stop by and grab a Space dust from the source. Went in late afternoon, only a few people were around. Plenty of seating options including bar stools that face a few TVs on the wall. Bar tender was very friendly and welcomed me in. I ordered the fish and chips along with my space dust. The fish was a good size, definitely filled me up. The order came with a side of fries which was thin cut. Plenty of tarter sauce to go with the big fish too! One thing I really appreciated was having a wall outlet on the underside of the bar so I could charge up while I ate. Thank you for a great experience. My partner is big into craft beer, so this was a mandatory stop on our Seattle trip. The customer service was wonderful and the bartender was above and beyond kind. The vibes were great. I am a big fan of Elysian Beer and I know the original Elysian Brewery is based in Seattle, WA. We just so happen to be in Seattle during the President's Day holiday. It was a great opportunity to check them out. We arrived on a Monday evening. The brewery is located in a nice area in Capitol Hill. Parking is available in the multiple parking lots and street parking. They happen to be a full service bar and restaurant. Elysian Brewing has a nice simple modern decor. The vibe is welcoming and family friendly. There are plenty of tables and booths for dine in. A large bar with many bar stools is in the middle of the brewery. Since we had a plane to catch home, we only had time to stop by for some drinks and purchase some merchandise. We ordered a flight of beers which consisted of Juice Dust, Dayglow, Chicken Dinner, and Hydra, a glass of Chardonnay and deviled eggs. My flight was a nice variety of tasty refreshing samples of some of their featured IPA and hazy beer on tap. My favorite sample I enjoyed was the Juice Dust. The deviled eggs were delicious and flavorful. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Elysian Brewing- Capitol Hill. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I appreciated one of the staff gifting me a handful of Elysian stickers. I ended up purchasing an Elysian truckers hat which I was happy to be taking home. If we had more time we would have ordered meals. It gives us another reason to return when we are back in town. read more

I thought the Elysian was nice with a great sports bar atmosphere. Service was prompt and attentive. I ordered the Smokey Gouda salad with bacon and egg and dressing on the side. It was fresh and crisp. It was the right amount considering I was on a diet, but if you like getting huge salads at bars like this you could be a little disappointed. The egg was a fried egg on top, which was interesting. I like eggs all ways, so all good with me. I tried a couple of the lighter beers. One was a nitro. I like that you can get pours as short as 8oz. They were good! The burgers and fries looked good. My comrades were pretty steadily eating, so it seems they were satisfied. I wouldn't hesitate to come back if invited or direct people here. It's a spot that's probably as good as any but also one that doesn't draw me in for an instant repeat. read more

I've taken as many friends and family here as I can over the past year or two. Their food never misses, but definitely have the cheese curds! Today I tried the chicken schnitzel for the first time and I couldn't stop eating it. It was PERFECT. Came here for a dinner around 6 pm. Got seated pretty quickly and our server went around and took our drink orders. I asked her for zero-proof recommendations and she said they could make the pear and thyme spritz non-alcoholic so I went with that. Our table got a bunch of appetizers -- nachos, gochujang wings, cheese curds, deviled eggs, fried mushrooms, and the pretzel board. The best appetizer was for sure the deviled eggs and cheese curds, we ordered more of those. For my main, I got the fish and chips, which was alright, but I definitely enjoyed the appetizers more. Vibe of the place was nice and lively, lots of groups that came in. They also have a bunch of TVs playing different things like sports and Dancing with the stars. It was an exceptionally hot day in Seattle and they don't appear to have air-conditioning so we were a little sweaty. The beer was fantastic. The food we have mixed reviews on my jackfruit barbecue sandwich was just OK but my friend really enjoyed her tacos. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Last night, my husband and I stopped by Elysian Brewing in Capitol Hill, and despite the brewery being absolutely packed--with FIFA fans, Pride celebrations, and the usual Saturday night crowd--we had one of the best hospitality experiences we've had in a long time. The moment we sat down at the bar, Diana welcomed us with a smile, waters, and menus, making us feel like valued guests even in the middle of what looked like complete chaos. What truly amazed us was that she was the **only bartender** working that night. She was not only taking care of a full bar but also handling the entire service well for the restaurant. On top of that, she was washing her own glassware, cutting limes after they ran out, and it didn't appear there was even a barback to help her. Despite carrying what seemed like the workload of an entire team, Diana never missed a beat. Our waters were always refilled before we noticed they were low, extra plates and silverware arrived before we had to ask, and every interaction was warm, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. She never made us--or anyone else--feel rushed or like an inconvenience. Even the servers never seemed to be waiting on drinks. My husband and I have worked in the hospitality industry for more than 25 years, so we know firsthand how demanding nights like this can be. We both looked at each other and agreed that Diana would run circles around us. Her efficiency, organization, professionalism, and positive attitude were truly remarkable. Diana, thank you for making the end of our night so memorable. Your hard work, dedication, and genuine care for both your guests and your coworkers did not go unnoticed. This is one of the most disorganized and unprofessional staff I have ever seen in the restaurant industry even McDonald's is more professional and nicer than the staff who works here. We were sat down by a rude hostess the waiter never came by for 14 mins probably because we were placed in the far back corner alone beside the bathroom hallway with not a single other table with any other guests in the whole section below. I counted 6 staff members walk by our table and non of which made eye contact or asked for if we needed help I tried to talk to one of them who looked at me and said I'm not the person and walked away. I am astonished that this restaurant is still in operation if the customers cannot even get to put in a order and it's not given service and is walked by and ignored by staff members providing disrespectful service in this sad over staffed restaurant! read more

I really, really, LOVE Dragonstooth Stout. I also adore the seasonal rotational surprise everytime I go in, which is, admittedly, not as often as it once was. I became familiar with the Elysian about 8 years ago, and I love almost everything they do. Their hummus appetizer is super duper fantastical awesome! My only complaint is that there is no more patio, and with the disappearance of the patio, the whole atmosphere in there has gotten a bit colder, snootier, more formal. I used to walk in and get the feeling of warm welcome, but now I walk in and feel like I'm a bit out-of-place...I'm not hipster enough or something. But whatever, they still have really awesome brewed-on-the-spot beers, as well as a selection of European goodies as well. Just bring some friends. read more

I have rarely been so upset by the service and food in any establishment... Not only was the food luke warm and tasteless, the service was rude. I am not talking typical cap hill hipster rude, i am talking want to deck a bitch rude. Our waitress was slow, lazy, and when we called her on it and asked for our check ( after sitting for a good amount of time), she came up to us 2x to tell us how rude we were. I have been a server myself and I understand what it is to work for tips, but this idiot had no comprehension of customer service. Anheuser Busch purchased Elysian outright in late January, along with several other microbreweries including 10 Barrel of Bend OR. Yeah, that's right, the same Anheuser Busch that makes Bud and other awful beers, the same AB that aired a snarky and hypocritical advertisement mocking craft brewers and those who love craft beers during the Super Bowl. Now they're threatening to ruin our beloved craft brewing industry. Stand up for microbreweries and DON'T GO HERE! I went here with a friend to watch the game last night. We ordered drinks they were fine but when we ordered the nachos they came back literally looking like someone just put cheese on tortilla chips and put them in the microwave. Then my friend tried to order two different things and they said they didn't have either of them. The waiter didn't know the menu at all (maybe they got a new menu oh well) but bottom line is they didn't have any of the drinks we wanted or the food we wanted.. Stopped in for a quick lunch in this wonderful establishment... Ordered a Perseus Porter and let me just tell you this... it was delicious... Tasted of chocolate malt with a bitter wonderful flavor leading no aftertaste and a good taste in your mouth! Paired that with a delicious turkey, bacon sandwich and a yummy salad and we're all set! However my nephew let out a loud scream twice and the manager Derek came and rudely asked me to keep him under control, but he understands because he has kids... Obviously he doesn't understand the service industry. Although Kelsey was great her boss sucked. It was also weird to see him just drinking with a friend. This is one of my all time capitol hill favorites. The atmosphere is great, with high wooden rafters ceilings and banners from all the beer competitions they've won. The beer is good, my favorites are always the seasonal brews. Lastly, the food is great and the menu has a little bit of everything. From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave they make you feel welcome and wanted. Blake was absolutely fantastic and was the life of the party. Only got beers here: Dayglow IPA and Space Dust IPA. Both beers were out of this world - jealous they won't have them in Boston. There's been a real shift in quality and attitudes. I felt like I was being scrutinized for being a customer. The service and wait staff really made me feel uncomfortable. Don't think I'll ever go back, and don't think I'll buy their beer or support their purchase by AB-InBev. Better to keep it local. read more

I have been told by many that they make the best Hazy IPA in Washington! And I agree. Their hazy offerings are very similar to Monkish (who imo makes the best in the nation - or at a minimum, amongst the very best). We got to try 3 different beers in this style - Zen Filmmaking, Little League Home Run, and self Expression. All amazing but my favorite had to be Little League Home Run. I could not believe it was only 5.5% ABV. It packed so much flavor from Double Dry Hopping with an incredible mouth feel. What surprised me yesterday the most though is that they also brew other styles extremely well. Spring Break (their coffee stout brewed with Boon Boona Roastery coffee beans was phenomenal. Roll Call (Imperiod Stout with Cinnamon) is great as it is now but I think it has potential for even more greatness. If this beer ever gets the barrel treatment, I will be purchasing multiple bottles for the cellar. Service is top notch. Sample pours were provided on every beer with detailed information and explanations. Xu (Taproom manager/sales) is a true asset to the brewery. She is knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic. The venue was not too big but it didn't feel small or anything. They have a large screen TV (they were showing the Mariners game) and they have an underground parking garage, which is super convenient and free! Very dog friendly too - in fact, there were about five dogs hanging out when we were visiting. This could be a good or bad thing for different folks but just letting you guys know that there will likely be dogs of all size when you visit. They offer what Xu calls Tavern Style pizza. They also allow outside food. Masonry next door is a full-service restaurant. So you won't need to worry too much about food. Highly recommended. However, I also would have appreciated a little more initiative in understanding what I was asking or checking whether anything could be done, particularly since only a few minutes had passed. Having spent many years in customer service myself, I really value those small moments where someone makes an effort to accommodate a reasonable request when possible. It's often what turns an ordinary interaction into an experience that makes someone want to return. To be clear, the bartender was not rude or unpleasant. He seemed friendly and had great rapport with several familiar guests at the bar, joking with them and taking good care of them.
