We just moved to the area this year and are so happy to have found a mechanic that we trust. Family members recommended them after we had a bad experience with the first mechanic we went to. Now we've been twice and have had a great experience both times. They took good care of our vehicle and only recommended the repairs that needed to be done. The guys at the front are super kind. I am less than impressed by Mike and his business practices and or ethics We were told that the work to be done might exceed $800-$1000 when we dropped the vehicle off I specifically asked that he let me know what the charges would be and I would decide from there.Almost a full week later I called him and yet once again I said let me know what the damage would be before you work on it He calls me 2 days later and says your vehicle is ready and its only $566.00 He drilled two broken bolts out and Serpentine belt back on Then he tells me he had a $575 confirmation from me and my girlfriend which Is a bold faced lie Hs took advantage of us I'm very happy for Mike and all the customers he has sent away happy and reassured they have an honest mechanic.Was not my experience at all.Thank you Mike your the best read more

I dropped my car off today for a simple oil change and inspection. Of course this is just routine maintenance, but I know I have more issues I have been putting off. (Or so I was told from my old shop. They said I needed over $2k in work.) Turns out my last shop was BSing me a bit. Michael was honest with me and let me know that my car was completely fine, and didn't try to make me feel naive. I had called 6 places. All would not get me in, saying they couldn't for at least 3 days!! I understand being busy, but none of them would hear me out! Finally I literally typed in "best car mechanic" and this popped up! I called and started to ask what the schedule is like, I have a leak and the first thing Mike said was, "well tell me about it." I almost started tearing up. He listened and then when I got there, he listened some more! We got to point and talk and look under the hood.. I felt SO heard and respected! There are two men in this shop, Michael (owner)and Willie. They are both extremely engaging, in the sense that they listen to our concerns and take the time to ensure our vehicles leave better than they arrived. We can call over the phone and describe an issue, and Michael will give us an idea of what he suspects the issue to be, along with a quote. It's so frustrating when you're trying to find someone to work on your car who wants to break the bank in the process. Freeman's is reasonable, reliable, efficient, and most importantly HONEST! Nothing makes me feel more ill than having to go someplace to have my car looked at or fix... Well all that changes as of today... Michael and his team are top notch. I received amazing customer services the second I walked through the door. You would of thought he would of known me or that I was a friend. I've brought my vehicles to Mike 4 or 5 times in the past couple of years and every time it has been a great experience. He deserves all of the praise he has gotten in the other reviews and I highly recommend everyone to go see him. There are plenty of shops closer to me considering I live in North Mesa, but I will definitely make the trip down to his shop whenever we have car problems because I know we can count on him. Like the other reviewers, we've had less than ideal experiences at other shops. I'm glad I don't have to deal with a laundry list of items that the other big shops hit you with at the end of their service in an attempt to squeeze more money out of you (How many times do I need to have my cabin air filter replaced? That's not what I came in for!). I'm positive that if Mike saw something concerning, he would bring it up, but he doesn't seem like the kind of person who is going to hunt around for other stuff wrong with your vehicle in an effort to make some quick cash unless you or he had a reason to suspect it was a problem (although, I'm sure he'll look if you ask him to!). Mike is quick, easy to talk to, and I trust him with our vehicles. I normally don't post reviews, but for Mike I'll make an exception! read more
