I really hope I caught em on an off day but when I was trying to order, another employee was using a motorized balloon inflator which was literally two feet away which was distracting, making it hard to communicate, and extremely rude. I've seen their sandwich board sign in front of Walmart for a while. So a recent Sunday I decided to try it out. Glad we stopped in. Obviously shop baked delicious buns. The meat way thick, juicy and delicious. Their burger sauce was perfect. Their fries were McDonald's style but longer and tastier. Prices were reasonable and currently have a special buy a combo get an extra burger for free. I took the extra burger home, forgot it in the refrigerator and two days later it was still delicious . Just a plain, very well done burger. Nothing special. I thought, why would you open another burger place in Fairfield when there are already so many around. Unless your burgers are something different or special. Hot dogs are on the menus but a small sign on the register says they are hot links. I asked them why they advertise a hot dog instead of a hot link and they just laughed. read more

Very new place. Tried the dogs and burgers on takeaway. Burgers ended up being tasty, but tough. Dogs were great. One of the burgers didn't get customized as requested, though. Went there tonight for the first time and the woman upfront was on point, she greeted me when I came in explained anything I asked without hesitation or as if it was causing her grief I got the chicken sandwich with house sauce, I tried the fries before I left and they were delicious crispy tasty and the house sauce was an added flavor explosion I ABSOLUTELY will go again....only down side is when I got home to actually open my food I ordered cheese fries and did not receive them but maybe next time lol read more

The food was literally amazing and you are immediately welcomed when you come in which is nice. The environment is quiet with comfortable seating and you get to really sit down and enjoy your food. The wild fries were 10/10 and so was the burger, would recommend this place to friends read more

Small location is in a small strip mall with very limited parking and no drive thru. I ordered the cheeseburger combo that comes with fries and a soft drink. I paid an extra 4.50 to change the drink to a milk shake. Burger had good flavor but meat seemed to be extra chewy and it did not come with pickles. Fries were hot and fresh with the right amount of salt. I received the milk shake right after ordering but it took 10 minutes to receive my food. Shake was pretty runny and not very flavorful. Total price was $19.28 which is pretty pricey compared to most burger places. Interior was clean and cashier was very friendly. read more

Stopped through on Sunday, before the Superbowl, after I just happened to see this place on Yelp that morning. Wasn't busy at all but the grand opening has not happened yet. Burgers are well seasoned and juicy and on my favorite type of bun, brioche. Fries are cooked very well although one order of fries was saltier than the other. They have milkshakes too, but not the thick creamy ice cream shakes you might expect elsewhere. That's a matter of personal preference I suppose. Overall it was a good experience and I would definitely choose Fred's over the much larger fast food burger chains in the area. read more

Now no place is actually perfect but I will award the five stars. Husband and I tried this place for the first time and we are both very pleased! Even my husband who is considered the pickiest eater by both of our families loved it. As soon as we walked in we were kindly greeted by Casi. We both looked through the overhead menu, which is pretty simple and straightforward, and decided to go with cheeseburgers. And thank goodness we did! Boy they were good and super filling! Let's start with the burger: the meat was cooked nicely, I would say medium with a nice grill char on the outside. You can tell the meat is fresh and not frozen and even see the flames going up in the back as they grill. The bun was really good and tasted fresh as well. I got bacon on mine which I also liked because it was also grilled to order like the patty and it was surprisingly a lot of meat and not just fat. Both burgers had just the right amount of fresh lettuce, tomato and onion but also had a house sauce spread. The sauce is good but next time definitely substituting it for the spicy house sauce. Next up we're the fries. Hubby got plain fries, which were good but quickly realized he should have gone for my choice. I got the wild fries which had a spicy house sauce, cheese and grilled onion. The spicy house sauce is really tasty. Hubby got a strawberry shake, which wasn't too sweet, which I liked and also made from real ice cream. Unfortunately, the soda machine was unavailable as this place isn't even officially opened yet but we were told it would be up and running soon for their grand opening. But of course they did supply canned soda in the meantime. The actual building space is small but cozy and the tables and chairs were clean so that was a huge plus! Now I didn't use the bathroom but I feel like it would be clean judging by the cleanliness of the rest of the place. I mean even the garbage can area was clean so I was pleased. While there we were greeted by management/owners. They were super friendly and you can tell they are putting their all into the success of the restaurant. Bottom line is that I hope this place continues to do as well as they did today because if they do they will be successful. As for myself, I will definitely be returning and this time with more family and friends. read more
