Second time coming here for lunch and the nice lady who works the register is always friendly and welcoming. As far as the food, I have to say the fish and chips far exceeded what I expected. The beer batter coated all over the fresh cod was fantastic and fried perfect. Went well with the house-made tartar sauce. The shrimp had the same beer batter and paired with Chipotle mayo. The fries were nicely seasoned and good to dip in the sauces. Their beef hot dog is basic but very tasty with the slight sear. And I decided to try their funfetti cake milkshake which was their current flavor of the month. That tasted just like a birthday cake and was so delicious. There's plenty of seating outside where you can enjoy your food and hang out. Look forward to trying more items on their menu in the near future. read more

I stopped by here for a quick bite to eat before a hair appointment. I grabbed a Shirley burger for $8. The burger itself was okay. Quite salty and the burger was dry (not the patty, no sauce was on the burger). The patty was cooked well though. Nice and crispy. All in all, okay burger, tasted fresh but just okay. I should have predicted from the people waiting outside, but it took much longer than I thought it would to get my burger. I waited nearly 25 minutes (maybe 6 people ahead of me), which isn't a bad time but I kind of thought it would be faster service. That being said, the service was nice and the person who took my order was friendly. No real comments on ambiance. It's got a little service window that you order from and wait outside at the picnic tables. read more

The food at frostys is always fresh and hot prepared with fresh ingredients. Always a smile when ordering with helpful information if you have questions. They prepare your order as needed to your liking. There's a cute area to sit and eat with the feel of an old days hamburger stand. Most of all the best fries in solano county. Thanks frostys for never disappointing read more

Very cute old-time burger stand. Nice area outside for eating. Watch out for flys though. Food was good. Had the Shirley burger and fries. Fries were thick crinkle cut and well seasoned. Burger was yummy. Also had the milkshake special which had strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and cherrys. It was great on a hot day! Very reasonably price. Will return. read more

My burger was delicious. It was juicy and perfectly cooked. Don't forget a handful of napkins! Fries were nice and crispy in the outside. Service was quick and friendly. read more

Foods not the same as it used to be and is INCREDIBLY over priced for what you get...ridiculously priced but great milkshakes and slushies.

Love getting to stop at this place when I'm in town- food is always amazing and the service is always great, they make great connections with customers and remember me even though I'm here every once in a while, I'd recommend getting their freeze with Pepsi and cherry- my boyfriend got one once then everyone there tried it and it's a hit! They thanked him and it was amazing 10/10 recommend coming here read more

Shirley burger, is probably my favorite burger in town. Great spot for any quick bite!

Delicious burgers and shakes! I loved how the bun was toasty, cheese melted and gooey, veggies fresh. Just how a burger should be! Checkout my recent post about this place and other great Dixon eats andeeonthego.com read more

Came for the shake of the month (Reese's peanut butter), stayed for a delicious grilled cheese sandwich and awesome fries. The rest of the menu fills out nicely with various soft serve shakes, floats, freezes, and cones; plenty of burgers and similar fare such as cheesesteaks; and there are also tacos as you'd expect at a California-style diner. With very friendly service where you take a number at one window and receive your order at the other window, the ambiance is casual and outdoor, though several tables are under an overhang which seems like it would provide shelter in moderate rainfall. A few parking spaces are available onsite, with street parking available nearby as well. read more

Weird thing to say but better than I was expecting! the sweet potato waffle fries were the real star of the show. perfectly crispy, held up well for takeout, an absolute winner. and the fish tacos! surprisingly tasty, a good amount of cilantro in the cole slow though so be prepared if you don't like cilantro. the burger was fine, a little dry. read more

Garlic fries: WAY too much garlic. I am talking about an overwhelming amount of garlic. I appreciated the fresh fries and garlic but YIKES, it just had too much garlic. Next time I will ask for "light" garlic LOL. Burgers: Good tasting burgers for the most part, a few pieces of wilted lettuce that was blah but otherwise, good burgers on brioche buns. Vanilla milkshake: BOMB Staff was friendly, service was in a timely manner. I will give Frosty's another try in the future. read more

We have eaten at Frostys a few times and we really enjoyed the food. They cook everything fresh, the hamburgers are very good and ample sized. The soft serve and milkshakes are the bomb, try the Peanut Butter shake you won't regret it! During our most recent visit we tried the pretzel bites and a beef taco, insanely good taco, simple but really tasty filling and the crispy shell was cooked just right. The pretzel bites were delicious & piping hot with homemade honey mustard. Lots of outdoor seating and the staff are super friendly. Can't wait for warmer weather and we will pop in for an ice cream treat more often! read more

Stopping here with a friend who told me their shakes were really good. He ordered a peanut butter cup shake with added bananas! I tried the Orangesickle shake. It was really good! The menu is pretty basic with burgers and hotdogs but I like small places like this so I came back the next day to try the food. I had the bbq western burger and it was good. My son had chicken strips with fries, which I tried, and they were good. There's no indoor seating and limited outdoor seats but I imagine most of their orders are take out. This spot is a lot better than you might think so definitely give it a try. read more

The best burgers and fries i Dixon! You get fast friendly service. A "REAL" burger! The fries are fresh and crispy.

Solid food Quick service Town landmark, basically Love that they're always creating menu items Shakes have always been great here Have tried their: burgers + fries fish & chips different specialty tots chicken strips All really solid choices, didn't disappoint read more

Food was great but the service Could've been better.... the fact that I ordered two sets of chicken strips and fries, paid to add extra strips to each and get all the way home to find out I got the standard size and never got the extra strips. Can't even call to talk to anyone either so that is kinda disappointing.... We have a young baby too so it's a little too difficult to go back and ask either read more

These burgers are top notch. Juicy fresh beef and toppings. My favorite is the Shirley burger with a fresh fruit pineapple milkshake. This place offers the cute small town feel that I love about this town. Everybody is friendly and the food comes out fast. If he's offering a limited time special give it a try. You won't be disappointed! read more

Waited almost 15 minutes for these overcooked fries. I had to send them back to get more that were golden, and not overly cooked, burnt brown to a crisp. $4 for a regular fries, I expect in almost perfection. The malted chocolate milkshake was very thick, but nearly flavorless as well. I have a feeling I won't be coming back here anytime soon. read more

Frosty's - Definitely not worth the wait exclamation - Burgers Near Me - Dixon, California

We wanted to avoid the crowds of last minute Christmas shopping, so decided to head outside of town, into Dixon. Afterwards, we looked up places for lunch and found this little gem. We both ordered burgers for us and chicken strips for our daughter. We ate it at home, food was still warm and fries crispy. The sauce that came along with the chicken strips meal was delicious. Dipped fries and my burger in it as well. Great spot! read more

Not sure why this place does not have more stars. I haven't had a hot dog this good since I was a kid eating at a 50s style diner. Fries were awesome too. Husband had the cheeseburger and onion rings. Will be back again and again for those hots! read more

Twice have eaten at Frosty. The first time I had the A Street burger, it was good but I neglected to have any type of sauce added but like I said it was a good burger. Next visit I had Fish and Chips. The fish was good but it came with 3 small pieces of fish. Both times I had a Oreo shake which was delicious. I will definitely order one again though it would be nice to have a couple of different sizes because I would have went the next size up. My big problem is the fries. Both times the fries were cooked perfectly, nice and crispy. The seasoning appeared to a course pepper and salt. But the flavor to me was different. At first it tasted very good but at the end of taste was something different. I don't know if it was old oil or what. It did a trip on my stomach. I don't know if it was the oil since I didn't get the flavor from the fish. So get the shakes but be wary of the fries. read more

The food was just ok. New to the area and we decided to pick up some food for lunch. The garlic fries were just fries with a lot of garlic sprinkled on top. My order was incorrect- I said no cheese on my sandwich but it came with cheese. It was busy when we got there. Everything was cooked fresh. Wait time for our order was about 20 minutes. I'll try again. read more

This is sort of an old fashioned type of hamburger and milkshake Snack Shack. You order through a little window outside. It doesn't look like much, so I decided to just get a milkshake. After a few minutes my order was delivered. It was okay but nothing special. Pretty much just like a chocolate flavored slush. read more

Today when I went to Frosty's with my friends I just got an ice cream cone. The ice cream was pretty good. But here's the problem while my friend was ordering the guy taking orders was being pretty rude, like bro got a serious attitude problem. The food 4/5. Customer service 1/5. read more

Went to this "classic burger style joint " this weekend and I have to say my experience was a sad one, I was expecting some delicious classic burgers. My experience was distant from that.. Ordered 4 burgers and one jumbo hot dog and a shake waited for 20 minutes for my order. No napkins no ketchup offered, two young high schoolers manning the place, they were very polite but lack cooking training or experience. All the burgers were burnt ,salty and fries were over cooked and also salty! My family and I made the most of this $30 burnt meal only thing that was good was the shake. To my surprise the owner parked next to the tables hauling food supply and though maybe if I mention them about my experience they might just make some adjustments but will never going back to this place. If the owner can reach out I'd appreciate it. read more

HAVE AGAIN: The chocolate shake was pretty good - very satisfying and made well. Thank you.

While the food was decent I was really upset at the fact that they did not disclose the cross contamination of their tacos which have sesame onto their brioche bun. I have a sesame allergy and they did not say that their brioche bun would have sesame seems on it because of that cross contamination. I wish I had taken a picture but I was too busy taking my EPI pen but the loads of sesame seeds that were smooshed into the bun didn't happen easily. When brought to their attention nicely as a heads up they said "well our tacos have sesame seeds" as if that was an excuse to have cross contaminated a food that shouldn't have been near the sesame seeds and then not disclose that on the menu. Sesame is a top allergen that LEGALLY needs to be disclosed and it was not and apart from not taking accountability for what could have been a fatal allergic reaction they shrugged it off and cut off my friend as if I couldn't have died from their negligence read more

Their ice cream machine is always down... try coming here for milkshakes and I get let down every time. Would be nice to have one in this 90 degree weather. read more

We have tried this place multiple times hoping that each time would be better than the last. That hasn't happened. The fries are way too dead ones, the burgers had too much grease (my bun was saturated) and our daughter's milkshake smelled funky and she spit it out. My husband tried it (thinking our daughter was being a drama Queen) and he threw it up. The milk was rotten. Dixon is a small town. There isn't a lot of competition. If they used a lot less seasoning, a lot less grease and good milk, we wouldn't be as disappointed. I should open my own burger joint-I wouldn't be concerned about the competition. read more

Very disappointed. I used to really like eating here, but this most likely be my last time. Ordered the chicken strips & fries. It looked like a kids meal, 3 small chicken strips & looked like a an extra small fries, then I find a hair in my food. I guess I'm just used to the old Frosties. read more

Husband has been going to Frosty's for years! Today he went ordered 2 burgers, 3 fries, and a shake. Got home to find only fries in bag. Drove back to Frosty's to get burgers, as we have all experienced coming home without item. Went to window to be confronted with argumentative employee swearing he put the burgers in bag and people lie all the time to get free food. My husband responded I have no reason to do that. Employee went to manager to get the response that they will go ahead and remake the order this time. We are long time Dixon residents who gone to Frosty's for years, so disappointed to have this experience... read more

This place isn't closed in fact it's very lively open. Great good great quality for a burger and they also have some great signature sauces!

Absolutely delicious! The double hamburger is the bomb. The fries are hot and crispy. I went three times in three weeks and they were consistent. I ordered the chicken strips and fries for my wife. Excellent. The sauce is great! Add BBQ as side next time too please. You are A+ I do hope you will add grilled onions to my burger next time. read more
