Wedge salad with many components

The Chicken Banh Mi was excellent along with hot fries. The jalapeno with farmers cheese with toasted French bread was excellent and the blue cheese wedge salad was awesome Service 5 star The ambiance is very nice Customer service great. Will be back and will pass this on

They have a vegan option for an entree and it was delicious! CHILLED GRAIN BOWL quinoa, hummus, achiote sauce, raw seasonal vegetables.... It was filling and delicious The server was very personable. I appreciate the level of banter. She took her entire order without writing anything down and she did not miss an item. Also, great spicy "margarita" It's a cute date or girls night out spot

Brussel Sprouts (small bowl) and Fried Chicken

I came here for lunch on Valentine's day and really enjoyed my meal. I ordered the fried chicken which came with 5 pieces -- mix of bone in and boneless which was a surprise. Personally, I enjoy the bone in chicken a lot more so I was glad that there were only two boneless pieces. The meal does not come with any sides, so it's a good thing that we had also ordered the brussel sprouts on the side for an appetizer which had a pretty tasty flavor profile. The chicken does come with some pickles and two sauces (buffalo and some garlic oil). I'm a huge garlic fan so I was thrilled when I saw all these whole garlic pieces in the sauce! Surprisingly, parking was easy to find given the holiday. When we arrived into the restaurant, we were immediately greeted by staff who showed us to our table. Servers were quick and attentive. Constantly checking in on us. Clean, spacious area with tables both in and outside. My only complaint is that there are only two single restrooms, so there can be a line that forms to use them.

We had a reservation set for 7:45pm on Valentines Day but arrived about 45 minutes early. The nice lady that greeted us outside said they would work on getting us a seat and invited us in to sit at the comfortable couch while we waited. She also got us some drinks while we waited which wasn't too long. We started off with some smoked wings which were really nice. Nice smokey flavor with a touch of sweet chili sauce. The green sauce was alright but I thought the wings stood on their own. We each got the ribeye which was very tender and seasoning seared well on the outside. It was kind of a fatty ribeye, but still delicious. The horseradish was a nice pairing for it. The fries were crispy and came with a nice homemade ranch dip and ketchup. The broccolini was good as well. Preserve is yet another culinary gem located in Winters that's worth going back to. Madeline, our waitress, was very friendly and attentive. Kudos to the whole Preserve staff!

I'm so guilty of passing this place up for Buckhorn next door. And don't even ask me why because I don't even know!! Hubby and I enjoy monthly date day/nights. We came to Preserve for our first one for 2026 and I am so glad we did! Reservations on Resy was easy. There is also a free parking lot available across the street. When we arrived, we were greeted and sat at this semi secluded table. The view was lovely of the bar and it was nice to have a bit of privacy. We tried the brussel sprouts appetizer; which was good and the jalapeno jelly; which was soooo good! I absolutely enjoyed it with the warm toasted bread. We had extra left over and they offered us more bread- YES PLEASE! The steak frittes (i got medium well) was delicious! That chimichurri sauce stays constant on my mind. SHEESH! Fries are the perfect accompaniment- thin and crispy! For drinks, I am a big gin fan and I was pleasantly surprised to see gin cocktail options! I cannot remember which I had, but it was perfect- honey, lemon and crema de violette! To end the night, the beignets on the dessert menu was calling my name. Those pillowy golden bites paired well with the berry sauce. Service was excellent!! They are attentive and allow you dining time. I would absolutely come back again- for dinner next time. So grateful to have found this gem.

Delicious food overall, we did order takeout for four adults, it was prepared quickly. We took it home and jazzed up the fries with jalapeños and cheese. The risotto and scallops were underwhelming. A veggie to the dish would have been ideal. For the price you get very little. The flavor was amazing though! The bolognese spaghetti was flavorful and the portion good. Great burger, fresh ingredients. We've ordered the half chicken before, portion was on the smaller side. More quarter chicken before?

PB&J cocktail and beignet

Amazing food and drinks! I came in for lunch on a Friday. The place is beautiful with indoor and outdoor seatings. I got the steak frites with steak cooked a perfect medium rare. It's tender and flavorful with chimichurri sauce. For sips I tried the death's flower which is refreshing and sweet but not too sweet. Mt server also recommended the Oaxacan on sunrise and it's got a beautiful color and tastes complex. I was full but then I see beignet on the menu so I'm hungry again haha. I also was curious about the PB&J cocktail so I got that as well. It is surprisingly got PB&J notes so cool! The beignet is hot and fresh, pairs so well with the berry sauce! Service is wonderful. Friendly and attentive. The staff is also very knowledgeable of the menu items and gave spot on recommendations. I definitely want to come back to try more!

Amazeballs every time! I lub it. 10/10 risotto with scallops. Old fashioned was too legit to quit. Bartender was attentive and made excellent recommendations.

It was a last minute decision to stop by Preserves on Father's day. We were surprised that the restaurant wasn't busy and that there were plenty of seats available. Of course we opted for the bar since we with without the kids and it was worth it. The moment we walked up to the doors we were seated, the bartender was within ear shot so he was very accessible. He provided us with the Father's day menu and offered some opinions on drinks that were all delicious. We ordered the charcuterie board, fried chicken, and the bravas. The food was overall good. The chicken was juicy and the charcuterie board was filling however we were not much of a fan for the bravas. With it being father's day, they had a limited menu and had sold out of the mac and cheese - which we originally wanted as a side. The atmosphere is pretty swanky with plenty of seating and a very chic bar. We've been here before years ago and knew what we were walking into but overall it was a great experience.

Whiskey sour. Missing the cherry.

Went for a date night. Started with cocktails - one seasonal special and one standard whiskey sour. I had the pork chop - the piece of meat was huge - had to take half home. Meat was too salty but very tender. Probably brined. Came with yam puree and greens with chipotle. The chipotle paired great with all the flavors with the smokiness of the pepper. The yam puree was giving baby food - had to shake off that connotation. I would have preferred it sliced/roasted and to go with the smokiness of the chipotle. Or maybe a more rustic puree. The smoothness of it is what reminded me of jarred baby food. Husband had bolognese and friend had risotto and both enjoyed their dishes. Fun menu, high quality, attentive staff, and great ambience. A go-to restaurant for date night, especially with other foodies.

My friend and I went to Preserve to celebrate a big birthday. We loved the charming atmosphere and how friendly the waitress was. She was attentive, friendly and looked as though she loved her job! Winters is such an enchanting little town and this restaurant is one the reasons I like it so much.

We had dinner here which my brother & sister-in-law graciously treated us. The server was friendly, attentive, and provided great service. I forgot to get here name. :( We went family style and shared all our entrees. *Vande Rose Heritage Pork Chop: mashed yam, braised collard greens, chipotle jus (4/5). The pork chop is so good. It's tender, juicy as expected as this was the 2nd time getting this. The chipotle jus is spicy. awe *Potato Gnocchi: wild foraged mushrooms, barley whey, Bayleaf oil (4.5/5). The gnocchi was pan seared which i loved yet it was still soft and had a good chew to it. The dish was rich, flavorful, and decadent. *Roasted Broccolini: pine nuts, garlic, chili flakes (4/5). Cooked perfectly the way I like. *French Fries: secret ranch dressing (3.5/5). Thin cut fries. The dressing reminded me of a cross between ranch/tarter sauce. *Rocky's Organic Fried Chicken: 5 pieces free range chicken, lemon, garlic confit, maldon salt, hot sauce, fried herbs (4/5). The chicken was a good mix of white and dark meat. They were perfectly fried to a golden brown and had a nice light crunchy batter. The dark meat was obviously juicer than the white meat. But, it was still good. Don't skip the garlic confit! *(Parker) Rolls - buttery, soft rolls. *Mocktail Mojito - nice and refreshing. *Old Fashion - good, I liked the branded preserve on the orange peel. *Wild Pear: Buddha's hand vodka, disarrona spiced pear, lemon, star anise (5/5). Oh, this was so good! I am so glad I got this! Sweet, but you could taste the pear flavor and the subtlety of the vodka. *Ice Cream Sundae: sweet cream and Vietnamese coffee, tcho hot fudge, chocolate soil, salted almonds, pine nut brittle (4/5). This had a lot of good textures and flavors. The pine nut brittle was divine. This was their first time here and we all enjoyed the dinner. Thanks bro and sis!

Mary's Fried Chicken

I would give them 4.5 stars if it were possible. I came with a friend I was visiting in Winters who is a regular here. The menu is small at lunch but well executed. The location itself is located in the charming downtown and is so aesthetically pleasing inside and out. Someone took great care in decorating and the floor plan. I loved their stacked rock wall outside. The inside was cozy and inviting given its large size. We started with drinks. I ordered a rotating cider which was from local purveyor Nitty's. It was a Cherry Pomegranate and hit the spot, very bright and refreshing. My friend had 2 craft cocktails, a voodoo something, with hisbiscus which was tasty and something with a grapefruit base, which was our favorite, very well balanced. We started with the Pepper Jelly Appetizer on my friends suggestion. This is not something I would normally order given I make my own pepper jelly but I'm glad I did! The frommage blanc it was served over was a generous portion and had a lovely texture. The pepper jelly was perfectly sweet with just a tiny kick. We did have to ask for more crostini as there were not enough to finish the dip but the server was happy to bring out more for us no problem. For entrees we decided to split the fish & chips and the fried chicken. This is the best fried fish I've had in a long time. It was light and airy and perfectly seasoned. It's a miracle when I don't have to add salt and pepper to something. The fries were nice and cooked perfectly though I would suggest steak fries, but that's just my personal preference when it comes to Fish & Chips. The fried chicken was organic from Mary's so the pieces were small but they gave you 5 pieces. It was seasoned perfectly, juicy and tender. My only qualm was it did not come with a side, just. Garnish of house made pickes. For that price point they should absolutely include some mashed potatoes, a small side salad, fries, or even better some of their Mac n' cheese. We did not have room for dessert. Over all a great meal in a cute spot. I'll definitely be back again to try some more selections, and their dinner menu.

I loved how each had their own unique flavors. The interior is nice and modern with a slight rustic feel. There was calming music playing in the background. The Cloudbreaker immediately met my taste buds with bitterness and then left my tongue completely numb for several minutes. Perhaps those sensations would have paid off if they were followed by a calming or THC-like effect, but I didn't experience any change in mental state. The comfortable atmosphere saves this establishment from 1 star. Dim lights, leather couches, chill music, and colorful tiki wall art make for a decent study spot or date night. However, if you're hanging out at a business, you gotta support it, and to support it, you gotta buy something -- I can't see myself buying anything kava-related with any ounce of enjoyment. Surely there must be some variation of a kava drink that tastes delightful. I don't want to spend any more money finding out though.

When we got to the lobby, we were greeted by the pleasant scent of the spa and a complementary glass of wine. The lobby was gorgeous. There was a nice fire going with plenty of seating, even some mounted down tablets where kids can play games. Outside, there is a ton of patio seating as well. There are fire pits, cozy chairs, and a pool (that seems to be more of a puddle). This hotel is unique in that it promotes socialization. I noticed that there is an abundance of seating not just in the lobby, but on the room floors as well. With the wine and fire pits, it makes for the perfect evening to chat with the other guests. The rooms are also super nice! They were spacious and very clean. The shower was huge with two high-powered shower heads. The shampoo and conditioners bottles were high quality and smelled very nice too. We paid a $75 pet fee and the room, to my pleasant surprise, came furnished with a dog bed and pet food bowl. This hotel is very dog friendly! I would say though that the lighting in the room was very minimal. There was no overhead lighting; just a few lamps that directed light down. Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Winters and would love to stay here again!

We had to stay here for a conference. This CA town has a population of 7500 people. Everyone knows each other and there are 4-6 big families known here from the town's origination. There is 1 restaurant attached to the hotel, and it is only open for most business from 4-9 Mon-Sun. They offer a coffee shop with pastries counter service Mon-Wed 7:30a-11:30a. It's a bit inconvenient because if you work earlier than 7:30, you must walk a block to another place or drive 10 mins to Starbucks. The hotel is beautiful, very minimalistic, rustic modern, and the design is geared towards Wine Vineyard/Tuscan/Farm like decor. There is a common area in the lobby, an outside large patio with a shallow fountain pool. The inside offers a two sides fireplace with seating on both sides. A small corner next to the 2 elevators has 3 tablets that are fixed in place for guests, this seems to be a business corner in the open space. There is also conference space. Our room was nice but when we arrived, the toilet paper stand was on top of the toilet seat. This was very odd at 8:30p since they had several hours to quality check our room before we checked in late at night. The good news is that I had no itchiness after staying here. There was a clean bed, bathroom, desk, and carpet. For our 3 night stay, it was a good experience.
