Wine at check in
Kristen M.

Lovely hotel right in the center of old Winters. It has an Italian restaurants downstairs; Carboni's which had a coffee counter in the morning, and sits within a block of multiple great dining options: Preserve, Putah Creek Cafe, Ficelle, Turkovich Wine, Eddy's coffee. You could easily make a romantic weekend out of a visit here. Add in some Hot air ballooning and a massage and you're covered. We chose this hotel because of its walking proximity from Preserve where my daughter's rehearsal dinner was being held. The entire wedding party stayed here and it made a great base of operations for the weekend. Rates can vary widely based on dates. We stayed on a weekend at the end of May. The rooms were beautiful and spacious. The AC was struggling to keep up at night when I was hoping to get it below 72. 75 was the best it could do. There are some nice sitting spaces in the lobby and a pretty courtyard with a water feature. We were given wine at check in, that always gives me a sense that all is right in the world. I would definitely stay here again to enjoy Winters. It reminded me a lot of Calistoga/Napa Valley in the 90's.

We absolutely love Hotel Winters. It's a beautiful and charming hotel with the incredible Carboni's restaurant located right in the lobby. My husband and I celebrated our wedding weekend here in May, and a few weeks later we returned for dinner. We were lucky enough to have Leslie as our server, and she was amazing. Not only did she take care of our table, but she also jumped in to help cook and pour drinks because the kitchen and bar were so busy. Her dedication and energy made our night unforgettable!

Luxurious bath robes!

We only stayed one night but to me, this hotel is beautiful! The rooms are super spacious!! We had one king bed and brought an inflatable queen size mattress for our kids & we still had plenty of space to move around. I have never been in a room with so much space! This hotel is perfect for a weekend getaway. Plenty of restaurants around & tasting rooms. I would definitely love to come back! Staff was also super nice. Also offered us a complimentary glass of wine upon checking in.

Okay this hotel is darling! It's pretty from the outside, pretty on the inside. Greeted with a glass of wine! The room is big and spacious. Nice comfy bed. The bathroom is also big and spacious. Everyone's so nice! Highly recommend. Love that they have robes as well. Even if you live close, have a staycation, lunch at preserve with they're jalapeño jelly, dinner at buckhorn, breakfast at putah creek cafe! There's a little wine room around the corner that's darling too!

A nice hotel, beautiful but prepare to be disappointed and hear a lot of "I'm sorry, no" responses. My family and I stayed there for a wedding and I loved how the hotel looks but I was let down by almost every aspect of it. Let's start with the rooms. They are clean and very spacious with very tall vaulted ceilings. The rooms are almost bare with how big they are. Bathrooms are clean and well appointed. I had to sign a "No Party" waiver lol. Food. The wedding was catered by their internal kitchen. Many people were forced into the chicken (which was a little dry) because "They didn't prepare enough steak". I asked one of the employees if there was more coming out, "I'm sorry, no". We found an outdoor bar and that was pretty cool. It had a nice view of the Winters area. The drinks were a little pricey but that's to be expected. A bunch of the wedding party loved it out there but they ended up closing the bar 30 minutes early. We asked if they could keep it open until closing time..."I'm sorry, no". Ok, well there was a bar downstairs so we all went down and hung out there. Same story as the restaurant/bar was closing up 30 minutes early. I asked the bartender if we could hang out until the advertised closing time of 9 PM..."I'm sorry, no". (You can see a trend). At this point I was getting kind of annoyed. I asked the bartender if we can just buy a bunch of canned drinks and luckily she would allow it but you can tell that she was crazy about it as multiple people had to ask REALLY nicely. So after that several of us went outside (it was a nice afternoon) to the pool area and sat in the chairs by the pool. At 9 or so they turned off the lights and the fountain on us. That was the Hotel saying "I'm sorry, no" haha. There was also this one person at the front office that had the worst RBF on earth. This guy completely came off like this was the last place he wanted to be and helping a customer was not his jam. In closing I probably won't be back. However I have to give our wedding bartender props. She was friendly and handled her business like a pro.

Me, the Mrs. And mom were here for a wedding at Park Winters (10 min drive from Hotel). Arrived 2pm, the hotel is modern and In regard to service, I was the one who actually greeted the person at the desk to check in. No, wine offering but I did notice water w/ lemon in the lobby. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Free parking in very well lit locations. Bring snacks and a water bottle that you can refill. Starbucks is 8 min drive away. Had a housekeeping issue which Capri, the manager, handled to our satisfaction.

They comped the meal, and we didn't ask for it; we only wanted to split the check, which was a policy that was never discussed, but their system could do it. So they decided to comp the check, given the many issues. Then the manager calls me after we leave, leaves a message, and says, very passively aggressive, "We comped your meal, but you did not leave the server a tip." Servers live off tips. But don't worry, we took care of her tip. Have a good day." Umm, excuse me? I was a server for over 7 years. First of all, I wouldn't expect a tip after the establishment that failed me by not ensuring they had adequate kitchen supplies to keep a Mother's Day up and running. Additionally, I would have added more staff to the day, which would of course be very busy. And lastly, how are we tipped when you comped the bill and walked away, and nobody had cash? We did not ask for the bill to be comped. So for future reference, dear John I don't recommend calling your customers and bullying them over voicemail. You're the problem, not us.

Mom's Mother's Day gift was tickets to see Filipina vocalist Morissette Amon's June 13th sold-out one night only performance of her Ember Tour. From the event description: Morissette is a Filipino singer and songwriter nicknamed in the press "Asia's Phoenix". She gained notice as a runner-up in TV5's Star Factor at age 14 and made her theatrical debut in 2012 as Mitchie Torres in Repertory Philippines' adaptation of Disney's Camp Rock. She received wider notice as a semi-finalist in the first season of ABS-CBN's The Voice of the Philippines in 2013. In 2015, Morissette released her self-titled debut album. It was certified Platinum by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry. The accolades for Morissette's music and performances have included two Awit Awards, an Aliw Award, six PMPC Star Awards for Music, and 38 Wish 107.5 Music Awards, the most such awards of any artist. With ticket purchase, they did provide an optional promo code for 15% off a room reservation valid only for the night of the event if you were interested in staying over. Tickets were non-refundable and managed through an Etix account. Delivery of tickets wasn't available until 5 days before the event, and could be printed or added to phone's digital wallets. From the parking garage elevator, you did have to walk through the gaming area and past the eateries to get to the Event Center. Outside the security checkpoint, the closest restroom that I saw/used only had 2 stalls. Once you get past the security, then the Event Center and ballrooms have their own bathrooms. Ushers were good showing you to your section/row/seats. These were metal cushioned interlocking chairs, no armrests, seat number labeled on top. We were in SEC 5, Row BB, Seats 61 and 62. This wasn't bad at all to see the stage, plus they had the big screens on either side too, although unless you're in a group, unfortunately you can't choose your neighbors. 2-hour show, no intermission, one artist outfit change, acoustics were alright, special effects and lighting were cool. As I mentioned before, policy says no photography or recording but even though we got there when doors opened at 7pm, there was no general announcement/reminder before the show actually started. So, for the opening Tagalog song, many, many folks were recording video. The ushers and security swooped in, pointing and making big "X's" with their arms to get people to stop. At one point, security escorted Morissette down/through the audience aisles during a song and then fans were again taking photos and video and selfies as she passed by. I wish they would at least allow maybe the encore song or something, especially in this modern/social day and age, or a designated photo op. It was great to catch Morissette live for an unforgettable night of powerhouse vocals and pure emotion! She did maybe 4 English songs, a couple Bisaya songs, and the rest were Tagalog. Her 15 years in the industry were well-represented and songs ranged from romantic ballads like Akin Ka Na Lang and Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw to Secret Love Song, Defying Gravity, I'll Be There, and Rise Up. Jo Koy is also coming August 21-22, but those are also sold out!

When we arrived around 10 PM, we were informed that our reserved King room was no longer available and had been given away. We were downgraded to a Double Queen. We were never notified in advance -- and our cancellation window had expired three days prior. There was no phone call, no email, and no communication that our confirmed room type would not be honored. Had we known before the cancellation deadline, we would have made other arrangements, especially given that this was a holiday stay. At 10 PM on Valentine's Day, finding another hotel wasn't realistic, so we accepted the downgrade. Unfortunately, the experience didn't end there. Loud music began playing somewhere within the building at 7:00 AM and continued for nearly two hours until we finally got up to get dressed as sleeping in was no longer an option. We were not on a lobby floor, and the volume was significant enough to disrupt the morning. After a late holiday evening, that was not the expectation. The room itself was clean and the check-in associate was polite, but the lack of advance communication, the room downgrade, and the early morning noise significantly impacted what was meant to be a relaxing Valentine's stay. We hope management addresses these concerns appropriately.
