We had to stay here for a conference. This CA town has a population of 7500 people. Everyone knows each other and there are 4-6 big families known here from the town's origination. We were greeted upon arrival at the hotel registration desk. The registration is two large sit down desks with the hotel agents offering a glass of wine at check in. There is 1 restaurant attached to the hotel, and it is only open for most business from 4-9 Mon-Sun. They offer a coffee shop with pastries counter service Mon-Wed 7:30a-11:30a. It's a bit inconvenient because if you work earlier than 7:30, you must walk a block to another place or drive 10 mins to Starbucks. The hotel is beautiful, very minimalistic, rustic modern, and the design is geared towards Wine Vineyard/Tuscan/Farm like decor. There is a common area in the lobby, an outside large patio with a shallow fountain pool. The inside offers a two sides fireplace with seating on both sides. A small corner next to the 2 elevators has 3 tablets that are fixed in place for guests, this seems to be a business corner in the open space. There is also conference space. Our room was nice but when we arrived, the toilet paper stand was on top of the toilet seat. This was very odd at 8:30p since they had several hours to quality check our room before we checked in late at night. The good news is that I had no itchiness after staying here. There was a clean bed, bathroom, desk, and carpet. For our 3 night stay, it was a good experience.

The hotel has recently been remodeled and initially looks promising. However, the overpowering scent throughout the lobby and common areas creates an unpleasant first impression that is hard to overlook. The coffee was good. The staff, including the housekeepers, were kind, friendly, and accommodating. The one place where this hotel needs improvement is in the sleeping rooms. Or to be specific, room 331. When entering the room it smelled like either a smelly dog stayed there or a man with poor hygiene habits lives there. It's a double queen room and the mattress on the bed next to the window needs to be replaced. The mattress has an impression in the middle and I could feel the mattress springs. The pillows also need replacing as they were flat and uncomfortable. If not tightly closed, the bathroom door slowly and loudly swings open during the night, which is frightening as it seems someone has entered the room. The coffeemaker is on a dark shelf with a burned out light bulb, making it impossible to find the outlet to plug the coffeemaker in unless you have a flashlight. Normally I would knock off more stars, but I think that this room may be an anomaly. It is on the top floor at the end of the hall, so it is probably one of the most quiet rooms in the hotel as you don't have noise above you, only one room next to you, and no loud talkers walking past the room. Therefore, it's probably a high usage room frequently requested by hotel regulars. A good friend of mine who also stayed at the hotel had no complaints about her room, which makes me think this room is an anomaly for the hotel.

The paths between the flowers are dirt and grass, so bear in mind your footwear and attire when booking! This would be a perfect spot for families. The actual menu in-person had a couple items that aren't on the sample menu including a couple more dessert options like fig ice cream. We really liked everything we tried! The portions were pretty good. If coming here for food I'd recommend getting here early since food trucks have limited capacity. You're welcome to stroll around the property both the flower farm and the inn side before or after your meal. The parking situation is a gravel lot. So it may not be the most handicap accessible place. We had a lot of fun stopping by Park Winters. They were setting up for a wedding so the inn side would have been closed for the event starting at 1pm. The check also came with a small map of the property for you to keep. This was very helpful in exploring the property. The only caveat is this is the countryside. Wear long pants or be prepared with insect repellent! Even at 10am in the summer my legs were bitten by mosquitoes. (Type O blood. Mosquito magnet here.) I'd like if they burned some citronella candles to help with mosquitoes. The rest of the dining venue was so thoughtfully designed including timed misters (like at theme parks) to help keep the area cool. Definitely check it out if you're curious or in the area.

Mr De Vilbiss hired an well known architect by the name of "Allen Aaron Cook" from Sacramento to design his building. When completed in 1889, the building was said to be one of the finest and most prominent commercial buildings in Winters ! The first floor had an office/ bar / dining room / kitchen & meeting rooms. On the second floor were 40 rooms and a parlor. The 2 story brick building survived the devestating Earthquake of 1892, but the 72 foot cupola as seen in the old photo of 1890 was destroyed in the fire of 1915. The building was first sold to I.V. Hugh's in 1896 and again in 1917 to T. H. Fenley. This building became a place where Mr. Fenley conducted his groceries and hardware business. In 1930 the building was reaquired by a member of the De Vilbiss Family and remains in the family ever-since. . For those driving from long distances, there is a gas station/convenience store located near the entrance of self-parking. Access to the hotel front desk and casino from self-parking is extremely easy as depending where you park can be a short walk to the elevators. I think that there is a parking level that allows you to enter the hotel lobby without taking the elevator. The hotel lobby is beautifully decorated. We were able to walk straight to the front desk and get checked in. Check-in was a breeze. The front desk staff, Jules, was fantastic. She was professional, welcoming and just a pure spark of joy the entire time. Being a stargazer, I asked about stargazing conditions (whether hotel lighting negatively impacted seeing the stars at night) and she patiently fielded my questions. Walking to our room through the casino was easy. On our way to the South Tower we passed restaurants, cafes and several well appointed areas to sit. The hotel design and decoration is absolutely stunning. Our room was also quite nice. We really enjoyed our stay. There are a lot of gorgeous decorations inside and out to make the space feel beautiful and rustic without feeling cheap or sterile. We didn't need to bring in (and pay for) many of our own decorations because the venue spoke for itself. The venue was very reasonably priced, especially considering the individual time and care that is put into each wedding. There were no hidden fees (ie. cake cutting fees) and the venue worked with us. In addition, the food was amazing! The chicken cordon blue and stuffed mushrooms were both huge hits as main dishes. Additionally, we had several vegan and gluten free people at our wedding, and we were able to design a menu that was delicious and accommodated everyone (and we walked home with a ton of leftovers). I highly recommend the roasted potato and cold pasta salad side dishes! My wife and I made reservations through Expedia with Traveler's Inn for Tue, Jul 28 to Wed, Jul 29, (Itinerary # 73463144264880). We were planning to stay there on our way to Santa Barbara, CA where I was to perform some music at a friend's wedding, but then I just received the bad news that I will be needing to start radiation therapy for prostate cancer in July. The treatment involves 8 weeks of radiation sessions, 5 days per week, and must be uninterrupted. At a time when anxiety and stress are elevated I have to deal with spending $93.00 for a hotel stay that I can't use! Cancelling seven weeks in advance didn't seem matter to Traveler's Inn! How horrible is it that a business can be so cold and uninterested in an individual's specific circumstances, and does not offer a refund. I could understand it, and it would be justifiable, if the cancellation came within 1 week of the reserved date, because it might be difficult to fill that room in such a short time. But 7 weeks in advance!?!?!? I am so shocked by such a policy. I'm sorry to vent so much anger and frustration like this, but I am overwhelmed by the user-unfriendliness of this policy.

Parking is plentiful, and most of the time you can park right outside your room, which is great if you're traveling with a car full of belongings or just want peace of mind. In the morning, they offer a basic continental breakfast with hard-boiled eggs, cereal, milk, orange juice, coffee, hot chocolate, muffins, danishes, and yogurt. There's no indoor dining area, but you can easily take it back to your room or enjoy it by the pool. The rooms are well stocked with soap, shampoo/conditioner, lotion, and a shower cap, and I really appreciated the extra space heater in addition to the standard AC/heater wall unit--such a thoughtful touch. There's a couple things I noticed. Yes they are first world problems but I'm at a first world property. There is no in room microwave, I cannot cast to the TV and there is no way to watch Netflix ( I told you first world problem) the property is clean and I have a very nice room despite the handicap shower with the handheld nozzle. There is an overhead shower head but it barely has pressure. Yes folks yet another FWP. Anyway I'll sleep like the dead and get up for another almost 500 mile leg. Last night on the road tomorrow night. I've been gone too long. This sucks.

It felt safe, close to shopping and Vacaville outlets, and about a 30-minute evening drive to downtown Napa. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
