Well they called me next day said they were waiting on the parts. While parts were in the car that I bought which they knew about. So they never looked at the car. A 3hr job took 3 days and price went up from 500 to 600 dollars. I really thought from reviews that they were good. I don't understand ripping people off. I would have went there for all my repairs and they would have had a steady customer making more money but I guess they were more interested in ripping me off and lying. My son was looking for a somewhat unique vehicle, and we contacted McQueen Classics about a car…read morethat we were interested in following an auction in which the reserve was not met. After a brief conversation with Peter G., we agreed on a reasonable price (which was actually less that the reserve). I was sent a bill of sale, which I signed and returned, and I arranged to wire a payment the next day. It was actually somewhat startling to us how quickly all this happened. Because we were not local to Delaware, we arranged a pick up date for the vehicle. In the mean time, we went back and forth with Peter on "details" related to the transaction. Peter didn't always answer my e-mails or texts right away, which is understandable...he is a very busy man...but whenever I called him, he always had time to talk to me and always was able to get an answer to my question. When we picked up the vehicle, Peter took the time to show us around McQueen Classics and we really enjoyed talking to him about cars in general, and the car we had purchased in particular. It was obvious that Peter had a lot of pride in the business that he had worked very hard to establish! It turns out that Peter used to live in the same town that we currently do, and, for many years, had worked at a local car dealership where my parents had bought several of their cars from over the years. There were some other amazing connections that I had with Peter that I discovered while talking with him during our visit. Suffice it to say that it truly IS a small world! Anyway, the last thing left in our transaction, after we picked up the car and signed the "paperwork" was for Peter to send us the title signed by the original owner, so that we could register it in our state of residence. Because the vehicle was sold on consignment, Peter had to get a signature from the original owner; which he did the next week, and then sent us the title. As a final courtesy, Peter put us in touch with the previous owner of the vehicle and that helped us a great deal in terms of getting some history on how the car was maintained prior to our ownership. The former owner was extremely friendly and VERY helpful (and patient) with our many inquiries! I would say that this was about as good of a buying experience as one could wish to have with a car dealership and McQueen classics is TRULY a unique place! If you are interested in unique vehicles, this is the place to look!

D&T Garage in Lewes, Delaware, has been a trusted ally for over 11 years. They've come to my rescue multiple times, including when I needed a new alternator in December 2024 after a breakdown on Coastal Highway They're experts at diagnosing problems. They used dye to find the oil leak and figured out that the engine oil gasket was the culprit. They fixed it up and my car was running like a charm again. Jason, the mechanic, took the time to explain everything in detail, so I felt totally confident. The steering issue was a bit nerve-wracking, but Jason showed me how the tires had play in them and made me realize I had to tackle this problem head-on. They offered a fair price and replaced the assembly. During the process, they also checked my brake pads and rotors and fixed them up. I drove down from NJ to he dealer in a rental car and the General manager HIMSELF, Jay picked us up from the rental car return which was about an hour away. At the dealership, all the paperwork and other things were handled extremely professionally and efficiently by Jay and his office manager, Heather. There was no additional fees thrown on us (like many dealers try to slip past you), and we were in and out of the dealership in an hour with our temporary tag and off to return home. Had the story ended there, this would have been enough of a reason to leave a 5 star review. Unfortunately, the car developed an engine issue and needed a costly repair. I reached out to Jay and even though the car was purchased AS IS, he said he will speak to his boss an see what he can do. In the end he sent us a check for a significant portion of the repair and reminded myself and my family that there are still dignified and upstanding individuals in this world. He could have easily said you bough the car for a great deal and it was As IS, tough luck, but he demonstrated that he is willing to go above and beyond for his customers. I don't even know if this will go through or not. Okay, so moving forward, this place is AMAZING! My partner and I have been looking for a school bus to convert to our home and found their listing. I shot them a message on Facebook and got all of the information I needed, and then some! When we pulled onto the lot, we were greeted by friendly staff. (Dylan rules!) Jay is especially knowledgeable about everything auto related, as well as being extremely charismatic. We weren't given the usual bs most auto places throw at you, just shown the parts we care about and even let us start up the vehicle. The entire team went above and beyond to get us a temp tag as well as help us move our school bus off of the lot. During the pandemic, it even meant more to see them always keep their masks on despite how hot it was outside. They took extra measures to elbow bump and hand sanitize everything. They care a lot and they will treat you right. I love them!!!
