D&T Garage in Lewes, Delaware, has been a trusted ally for over 11 years. They've come to my rescue multiple times, including when I needed a new alternator in December 2024 after a breakdown on Coastal Highway They're experts at diagnosing problems. They used dye to find the oil leak and figured out that the engine oil gasket was the culprit. They fixed it up and my car was running like a charm again. Jason, the mechanic, took the time to explain everything in detail, so I felt totally confident. The steering issue was a bit nerve-wracking, but Jason showed me how the tires had play in them and made me realize I had to tackle this problem head-on. They offered a fair price and replaced the assembly. During the process, they also checked my brake pads and rotors and fixed them up. My son was looking for a somewhat unique vehicle, and we contacted McQueen Classics about a car…read morethat we were interested in following an auction in which the reserve was not met. After a brief conversation with Peter G., we agreed on a reasonable price (which was actually less that the reserve). I was sent a bill of sale, which I signed and returned, and I arranged to wire a payment the next day. It was actually somewhat startling to us how quickly all this happened. Because we were not local to Delaware, we arranged a pick up date for the vehicle. In the mean time, we went back and forth with Peter on "details" related to the transaction. Peter didn't always answer my e-mails or texts right away, which is understandable...he is a very busy man...but whenever I called him, he always had time to talk to me and always was able to get an answer to my question. When we picked up the vehicle, Peter took the time to show us around McQueen Classics and we really enjoyed talking to him about cars in general, and the car we had purchased in particular. It was obvious that Peter had a lot of pride in the business that he had worked very hard to establish! It turns out that Peter used to live in the same town that we currently do, and, for many years, had worked at a local car dealership where my parents had bought several of their cars from over the years. There were some other amazing connections that I had with Peter that I discovered while talking with him during our visit. Suffice it to say that it truly IS a small world! Anyway, the last thing left in our transaction, after we picked up the car and signed the "paperwork" was for Peter to send us the title signed by the original owner, so that we could register it in our state of residence. Because the vehicle was sold on consignment, Peter had to get a signature from the original owner; which he did the next week, and then sent us the title. As a final courtesy, Peter put us in touch with the previous owner of the vehicle and that helped us a great deal in terms of getting some history on how the car was maintained prior to our ownership. The former owner was extremely friendly and VERY helpful (and patient) with our many inquiries! I would say that this was about as good of a buying experience as one could wish to have with a car dealership and McQueen classics is TRULY a unique place! If you are interested in unique vehicles, this is the place to look!

7/20/19 7/19/19…read moreDriving from CT to LEWES, DE during the heat wave and the air conditioner broke down 170 miles from arriving. Came to the garage before the shop opened on 7/20/19. It's a Saturday. Luckily for my family the team at the garage saved the day. They were able to get all parts and install them the same day! Meanwhile, my family and I spent an awesome day swimming in the ocean while the work took place. The service rendered and price was fair. Its a pleasure to share a satisfied customer experience. The outside temp when I got my car back was 103. After about 10 minutes of driving, the air temp inside the car was almost obnoxiously cold. Absolutely amazing performance due to the heat and humidity outside. We are going to enjoy the 6 hour car ride home Monday during this epic heat wave ! Thanks for saving my trip !
