I truly wish I had seen these reviews before I even went to Bi-Rite Auto Sales in Seaford, De. First off, I have no problems with my car I purchased. (Thank God) My salesman was good also, my problem was when I did the paperwork. Don't except cards, only cash. I took my car to inspection and it pass. Was supposed to be 2 years tag, and when I went to pick it up, it was for my original due date. It was a vanity tag and I want to keep it. They then to proceed to get upset because I wanted a itemized list of the what I paid for. They can't give me that info. SMH. Now they are sending me $60.00 for the difference. I have done business with Bi-Rite for over 15 years. My first interaction, I was down on my luck. I actually bounced my down payment check and ran the vehicle around without ever paying. They took another chance on me and won a customer for life. Things have slowed down with my business but at the peak, I had 11 vehicles financed here. They have always treated me fairly, always provided quality vehicles, and if I've ever been in a jam, they've always jumped to help. These other reviews are laughable. Yes, letting your vehicle run while pumping gas can trigger the check engine light. No, they aren't going to hold a vehicle without a deposit. But to each their own. read more

roduct Issues Problem: I am writing this as a dissatisfied consumer . Approximately two months ago I entered your lot on Sussex Highway in Seaford Delaware. I was shown a Red Chevy S-10 2003. It appeared to this 58 year old woman, wearing Oxygen as if it were in satisfactory condition. I was sweating and feeling ill while it took the Congress of Mechanics two hours to " clean " the vehicle. Finally they said it was done. I had to leave my vehicle in in a very distant location and then forced to climb a dirt hill in 90 degrees because they would not let me leave the car close enough for me to get it off the lot to have it taken home. When the S-10 was finally driven home it was found to be ant infested and the back was covered in dirt and broken shards of glass. Apparently the Congress is not skilled at cleaning. honesty or integrity. It failed Inspection due to the "Service Engine Soon" sensor. The Man in the grease Suit told me it was because I was filling my gas tank while my car was running. I have been buying cars long enough to call Bullshit when I hear it. I let it go until I saw that light again. Another fail! Back to stage one . I tried to get the vehicle inspected over the last two months. Not to my surprise this car has failed the DMV 2 times and it needs to go for a 3rd rejection. This time the man replaced my GAS CAP. Yep that will work. WRONG! In the meantime I have had to do without a car which meant cancelled med appointments etc. Each time I took this to the DMV and was never offered a loaner car over the 3 days it sat at Bi-Rite. I was never offered a ride back to my home which is 5 minutes down the road. Part 2 We thought we fixed the sensor problem at home so we went for another round for Inspection. The car failed twice at the DMV for Brakes. The first time the fail was due to lack of traction in the front brakes. A few more days of brake repair. I was told by the Office person that the brake was fixed and that she was happy because they also replaced the rear brakes. Today this Chevy S-10 failed brakes completely in the rear. The newest addition to this vehicles history was as recent as yesterday July 31, 2019. The thought to be fixed Engine check light has returned. According to the reader purchased by a family member the light is indicating possible gas leak and it suggests several possible areas within the car. I * It also indicates a warning that vapors could cause ill effects by breathing in the toxic fumes. This could be the reason that my COPD has become significantly worse recently. I am not willing to wait again while the Congress Mechanics pretend at fixing automobiles. The most interesting part of this story is the pitiful FACT that I was desperate enough to sell this car and go buy a real one. The problem came when I tried to put it up for collateral only to find out that the car is A Chevy S-10 but the VIN number comes up as a Chevy Blazer. Now I have to question the ethical standards of the Carsforsale.com in general due to its association with Bi-rite auto of Seaford DE. Are they working with Chop Shops, Junk yards, dishonest and more corrupt practices overall? I think the next stop may have to be a lawyers Office or the Police Station. Please keep in mind that I have been in constant contact with bi-rite and returning the vehicle various times in order to allow Bi-rite to make things right. The results were the same each time. Dishonest statements about the problem and the repair, unwillingness to work with me to get the problem solved and continued denial of thier responsibility to make things right. I am very upset, I came 2 hours from Virginia once before and when I got there the vehicle I wanted someone had gotten it, so I waited till this year I went again and I just talked to the salesman that previous night and he told the vehicle he had available so I told him I would be in that next day, I got off work and drove all the way to Seaford, just to get in the vehicle which was still park in the front , and the guy came out and said someone brought the truck, I was pissed and upset because I came so far but also, if someone had brought the vehicle ,,WHY WAS IT STILL IN THE FRONT, WHY IT WASNT PULLED IN THE BACK AWAY FROM THE SALE LINE, of matter of fact why DID'NT it have a sold tag or name of the buyer on it.....HOW THE HELL IM SUPPPOST TO KNOW IF SOMEONE BROUGHT IT, and on top of that the vehicle is still listed on the website,,,, So either they prejudiced or they didn't want me to get that vehicle but It's not right and I'm very not happy with them !!!!! read more

We have used Bi-Rite for many years however with our last purchase we realized this business has gone down hill fast. One of the owners, Jack L. Mullens, is very stressed out and very rude when there is an issue with a vehicle. First we noticed they forged a signature on a document and then added it to my file as if I signed it when I bought the vehicle. (no witness signature is there as it is required). I am reporting this to the state police. Mr. Mullens uses a towing company Predator Recovery and Towing (laurel) who illegally cut the lock on our enclosed private property and left cut lock thrown on the ground and also left our gate open till we found it the next day. I'm currently in the process of filing criminal charges for this incident. Mr. Mullens was told what had happened he said "it wasn't his problem, all he does is sells cars and collects the money. "WE HAVE NOTICED THE PRICES ARE VERY HIGH compared to other buy here pay here dealerships in the area. I recommend to stay away from this dealership.
