Hal's General Store and Hal's Emporium are in the same location but in two different buildings…read more I've always went into Hal's General Store thinking it was Hal's Emporium, which was just a slight oversight on my part because they are owned and operated by the same person. Hall's General Store is what it sounds like and what my first review was mainly on so this time I'm going to focus on Hal's Emporium side of the business. It is more crafts and gift side with a discount item section in the back. You have to experience Hal's Emporium to full appreciate review. All I can really say is that you'll save a lot of money and find really interesting stuff at both stores. It is well worth stopping in and browsing about. Over a year later, I still like shopping at both stores.

This is the only place in town to get a lot of items that I need and that is the only reason I come…read morehere..it's been fine for the most part in that sense but for some reason I feel like I get racially profiled or it might just be this huge coincidence that they always end up asking me for my receipt and come to the same aisle as me pretending to face merchandise and straighten it out. I am someone who likes to look at everything and compare..why wouldn't want to make sure I purchase the item that works for me best? I'm hispanic and I truly hate to pull the race card but i'm going to call it as I see it.. i've noticed on multiple occasions I'm the only one who get's asked for my receipt where as everybody who happens to be white get's to walk out without being stopped. These little things have been happening to me a lot lately and i'm getting sick of it. I just want to get my stuff and not feel like i'm being watched by a hawk and treated differently than everybody else. Also every cart I get always has issues with the wheels and veers off to the left of right but they probably can't keep tabs on all of the quality of their shopping carts so I mean, giving them some grace there. Starting to feel like shopping at Target in Salem by my work seems like a better idea which is a bummer since I live close to this Walmart.

To the lady at the counter, who was doing nothing except looking at the ceiling, she snapped at me that I should have seen the box on the screen. I explained. I thought I checked it and was very sorry. The lady reluctantly grabbed the receipt, checked the order and said I had not messed up. I apologized and left came back an hour later, asking. The exact same lady if I could. Please get my photos to which she replied.Oh , we closed a half an hour ago , even though it was 2 to 3 hours until the photo center closed , and she had Had been the same worker who had seen my receipt an hour before and chose to say nothing regarding my pickup time nothing about closing Soon and told me to come back in the morning she was rude. She was snappy, had no customer service. Obviously thought that she did not need to be doing her job did not need to be helping the customers and had anywhere else better to be than there. I had the most worst experience. Of customer service I've ever had, in my life please hire people that actually deserve the job and earn it instead of workers that act like the customers are beneath them when they ask the workers to do the job they're being paid for I will never go back there if I have any were Else to go take your money elsewhere
